  1. Beats lying still. So is your whole body moving or just certain parts?
  2. Gotta run that adjuster nut well onto the threaded end of that cable so it even looks like you're going too tight. You want to see lots of thread showing when it's new. As the clutch wears you can back it off some as needed.
  3. On pedal side about an inch and a half before the clutch disengages. On the engine end start with about an eigth inch "strong" of play with no helper spring. Can't recall if yours has a helper like the 70's but you should be ok. I got freaked out on mine too and started calling other old schoolers but I wasn't very far off , just impatient I guess.
  4. Can't get them to you in time but I've got some in storage. For now you might get lucky with Danny - "drivesubies" - or "dannybreadman" on eBay. Check his eBay store quick , then contact him thru here or eBay if need be. You might get lucky elsewhere. Not much of a bend to them so maybe a straight generic run will do .....maybe with an elbow at the end. That could be a 90 deg. fitting with just an inch or so extention of hose to the unit.
  5. I remember we used to send out empty boxes with return tags. Just need to know the weight for the return trip. Call Fed Ex if you are curious about that.
  6. Any anti-corrosive coating you can put on that heater core (not the fins) will keep that from the next guy's list 20 years from now. Even just from normal exposure those spigots tend to get really crappy and eventually freeze up. Go man! And don't forget the T fitting inline for flushing the system.
  7. Stage one or stage two? FWD or 4WD?
  8. Car dealers get large boxes for fenders all the time. I also get free packing bubble sheets by the extra large garbage bag full for free. Hope your local can help out , or his. I will get my set plus one ordered sometime in the next month or so.
  9. We started a thread about a group purchase for the window trim. Too much going on for me right now.
  10. Yeah thanks old fellow moose name guy!!!! My '78 clutch cable snapped early this AM luckily after I'd had some fun in the snow. Weird , very weird. Please don't break anything else on your car , OK???
  11. Ok time I posted a cheesy video on screw tube Gimme a little bit and I'll have the 78 up. Got to be first guy to play in Seaside Park early this AM
  12. Almost time for a CT Vintage Winter Meet !!! My '78 has been out in the snow already , and waiting to play this weekend again. Hey Jes , I ran into a guy who probably ran along with your dad back in the old gravel yard days up near Watertown ...Waterbury
  13. Been a lot of suckers for that ride. Here's to ya , Ronny !!! I wonder what the total ticket is for that YAF org's resto. And who the F at SOA is running a resto dept. ???
  14. 73 is the best. Dad gets the 73 you get the 72, respect for your old man. WagonsOnly and ctsuba each have a 71 tailgate and of course Andrew -wagonsonly- has a sweeeeeeettt 73 in that orangish color pretty buffed out. Still waiting for mine to show up but I'm in no hurry.
  15. Wrong end of PA !!! Just pecking the post here - I'll take a set and I'll need one of (??whichever side I don't have) TBD
  16. Follow where that water came in from - thru the cowl , passenger side , and you'll probably see pinholes along a seam on the far right. Or worse. Obviously you're right there now. Subaru3 - Todd - is the best at describing where that water comes and goes. Can you get a pic looking down thru the cowl area?
  17. Outstanding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me want to buy one of those XV thingies even if it is huge beyond necessary.
  18. Over here its Stage I for early 70's with the crease in the side. Stage II for late 1977 - body metal change to no crease - thru 1979 and up to 1981 for the Brat. Not to be confused with the 1973 model Stage I , II , and III issues.
