Talked to him. Seems like a good guy. Hoping to get more info tomorrow. It's a 4 door Mfg. date is Aug. '72 so its a 1973 Stage I ( that pertains to 1973 ONLY - not the usual Stage I for 1977). NOT a Coupe or 2door -

gaugeing interst Factory Parts Book
moosens replied to tailgatewagon's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I'm pretty sure I have the manual you need -Steve. I'll go digging next chance I get. Pretty much have all FPM's from 1968 up thru the early 80's and some others pat that and into the 90's. The box with the majority of those manuals is easily accessible. Next time at storage I'll snag the 1970 and all ff-1 stuff to compare. Sorry for the hijack. -

Those are the same animal for many many years from like 1972 thru 1994 at the very least. -
First thoughts were: Hal's - although I'm not sure how many older Subarus they work on lately. http://www.halspartsandservice.com/ Several places in the Rt.61 area of PA. Hopefully some of those folks will call up the names. One is in Deer Lake. Used to be several in NJ. Sorry, can't recall names for there right now. Up here you can go to Paul's (not me) in Wolcott - or Waterbury on Wolcott Rd. Good guy!! Or F & S in Waterbury CT but they're pricey. Good luck.

Sorry but I must add .... "I'm doing 90(mph) and you're getting away from us". That was my wife on the cell phone following me or trying to ,on the way back from one of the Import Shows at Carlsile. I'm in the '78 4WD wagon and she's with the kids in the '96 Legacy 2.2 -

Vintage replica heater and radiator hoses??
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Right after this we struck a deal on some old stock in a barn in PA. I've got a good load of those hoses upper and lower and heater hoses too - all factory -braided- and not the least bit dried out. Should they fail as I use them I'll look into the Italian made hoses. -

East coast rip off price is around $150 :-\ REally though if you have to find one here then its worth the $150 for sure. To you guys ....well,I'm not so sure that's worth it since these pop up all the time out there, right? Shipping - around $60 I'm sure.
