Up to date pics of the 78 Brat
moosens replied to 75subie's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Very nice! But I think your about the 1500th person to name their Subaru "Superoo". Let me know if you want to sell the FE incredibly high powered muscle maximizing weapon of mass destruction. -
went yarding today

'75 is worth saving. Those shifters are cool. 100% by east coast eh??? :-p -
1978 Subaru Brat - Need Parts / Donor Vehicles
moosens replied to subi1978's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Good luck. So,I guess that tells us exactly how many old badges, etc. the warehouses have left.If SOA isn't supplying those items you have to know that the rest of us will be trying to secure them just as badly. Some badges and tailgate handles, etc. do show up,and occasionally still new stock. But it's getting slim pickin's. Please refrain from multiple listings.Thanks. -
well well well......you're leaving the ladies of the world alone enough to post now. Good to see you back around. Git yer butt down there, boy! Everyone: Read the post if the Meet 'n Greet forum......you knew that.

I completly agree. There's some small shop not far from anywhere that'll make it solid.Forget about making the underside to perfect factory restoration.Phooeeyy!!Make it solid and coat it with tar. You're in VT!!! Get some more miles out of that thing.Main thing is to keep it going, and enjoy the heck out of it!! From the sides it'll always look great. Keep some poor guy busy.Take it around or take the pics and see what they'll do for you.Worth a shot,to me. If you just simply don't want to bother for any reason I'm sure one of us would consider it.

See my '78 unrestored for the last time!!!!!!! Sure would like to see some folks check in or announce that they won't be making it.... Keep in mind I might need a second driver if someoone around my way wanted to go but not want to take their car,etc...
-
I think we should forget about feeding each other and just make sure you're covered. If you want to bring something then just be prepared to take some home or toss it if there's not enough folks. I'll make it for Saturday, almost 100% sure about that.It might be me alone,or another driver with my second car,or a family event.TBD It's been a tought year for a lot of us.A good year to shove far behind us too.Let's just get a good core group there. Most of us know each other as far back as Pine Barrens Sept. 2001,and some even way earlier from my place in Milford. To me,getting a good bunch together is a good accomplishment.Trying to drag every northeastern person out is a huge chore.Folks are just not as warm and friendly up here, let's face it. By now they should have tucked their attitude away for the spring.:-p ***We can pass a hat for Matt's lost deposit.***

Cool, glad you got out of Bridgeport with your skin. Kenny Voight was the neighborhood drag race freak. He's been building machines since he was in his teens. Must have been a curse from the president coming to town.Yes,avoid CT.We tell good people that all the time. -
Thanks, and yes, grab those papers/manauls for me,please. Carpeting is another item I'd gladly pay for if it looks like it belongs in a refurbished car.Dirt and some stains are ok,but just don't want worn through spots or rips,etc..those carpets come out fairly easy too. If the dash is cracked, please check things like the vents and any other items that might be salvagable. Thanks again.

How much are they worth to you? I don't need those wheels at all but if I go retrieve this Brat I'm going to try to get some money back. The gas alone is making this a $250 Brat already.

I'm interested in and dress up parts like a wood steering wheel, wood or leather shift knob, and maybe some other interior parts. How was the dashboard? Did it have solid seat backs up front or did it have the coupe style seats with the hole under the headrest?I need a driver's side black w/white center coupe style. There's three 1974's in a backyard up here but the guy is tough to deal with.

here I be,home sick.... For $100 and a days effort, not bad for the east coast. Jon,did you blow up the pics and check that front valance?Looks good from here.

Sorry,I thought it would at least lower the amount he'd be shelling out.It was late.Shoot me.:-p Hey uhh,"deposit",so like that's refundable, right? As long as we don't waste or steal the tent? I will probably bring two cars if my family comes along.Or if someone from up my way comes along and drives one of the two.Either way I think there's a good chance of my cars both making it.1978 and 1982 will be represented. Matt,I'll gladly toss in what I can as soon as possible or at the meet. And I'll score some brewski and try to bring some grub.

OK OK you got me...... :-p I just registered two cars....must sleep....goodnight. And the numbers were #2402 and 2403....zzzzzzzzzz

Sounds like you've got someone in town. I'm in B'pt but it's kind of late. Options for Wed. AM: Milford Auto Recyclers if you can get yourself out to exit 35 off I-95.Call them first, obviously, but they will likely have something that will help you. Dan Perkins Subaru also off exit 35 in Milford,****talk to John in the PARTS DEPT.**** he will help you. They are right next to M.A.R. too. Plenty of local parts stores. I'll PM you my phone number, but once the day begins I might not be able to come help you out....but I can talk for a couple minutes at least.Leave a message and number if I don't answer. -
Getting to be about that time. And time for a PA yard run!!!!
