  1. Wow,our own little dinosaur forum....lovin' it!! Skip,I've got you covered on the manual.I just hope you don't want it too soon.If you can somehow stop up this weekend I'll dig it out for you from the new storage unit. Mick is right, and I think I started the rumor.I could swear I remember ssing the third eye on a '78 or '79 Brat.Maybe it was an experimental, maybe it didn't really happen....anyhow.I'm going to work on a flipper for my '78 wagon, but I'm sure our man Skip will have one sometime sooner. Skip, you're welcome to call.Sorry I missed your call last week, but I called back within minutes.Gimme a shout if you have time later tonight,as late as you want,or tomorrow.
  2. I'll be shipping next week,or as best as possible after that. I just got too busy with the move to even inventory, let alone ship, sorry guys. Bratenstein-dash,etc. 75Skunkaroo-1975 4WD "A"bar sbratw-heads-EA71 Boosted84Wagon-bumper,radiator support sportsterbrat-Brat jump seats Anyone else? Please email me,not PM,thanks.
  3. No problem. My PM has been full.I think I need to donate more money to the board or something.....
  4. Yes,the g/s next door. The guy was in the papers in a nice little interview about his sushi. He's the real deal, and the stuff isn't bad at all.I tend to stay away from it on Sunday though, assuming he makes them up on Fridays for the weekend. You won't see people lined up for the stuff but it does sell fairly well.He also has dumplings and some other items as well. Man,I really wish a lot of you guys lived closer.I really like me friends I've made through the board that live around here, but the rest of you have known me even longer.Maybe in the next world. Cheers!
  5. Gone stagnant....the last day/last minutes it's going to be fun. Too bad I will be busy when the auction closes. Too bad I just can't swing this thing right now. Anybody wanna buy a wife or kid?
  6. Jim,you're obviously looking to start something here.Be smart and walk away from this.
  7. You can email me about 1400 Subarus.I've owned at least 6 of them in my life and currently have one car with the EA63 and a spare engine.I also have a few friends with knowledge of the early Subarus from '72-76,a.k.a. the 1400 era in the US. I sold my '75 DL wagon w/60k to "WagonsOnly".He may have some info for you as well.
  8. While going through things this weekend I saw one.sorry that I could not find it last year.I'm pretty sure that I have that exact one.It was tucked away up in a loft and I overlooked it previously. Now,the big question is.....which box did it go into??? After I get out of my current place I'll be taking time to actually go through the boxes and do things right.Something I just did not have spare time for these past few months. So,rest a little easier.I'll need time to find it.But this time I'm just about positive I have that emblem.Oh,and it's attatched to a near perfect grill. Talk to you soon
  9. Next Saturday,April 30th will be the last official day of the FSCR. I'll be up there a few nights this week.email if you want to stop up. Next Saturday I'll try to get a grill and cook or maybe order from my friends new Quiznos and have them send it over.....or sushi from the gas station.
  10. I'm watching,don't worry..... but most of all....don't BID
  11. Getting back to the post.......the place is getting nicely emptied. The storage hole is filling in well. I owe a ton of thanks to Connie and her boyfriend Tom,as well as many thanks to Matt and his wife and Dave,Melissa,Scott, and some local friends. It's after 2AM and I'm just getting back. It's going to be a fun week, for sure.Vampires, come join me. Anyone who wants to come up next Saturday,April 30th will be treated to plenty of space.I'm going to try to borrow a gas grill and cook some good eats for the gang.At the least,I'll get some pizzas or sushi or something....
  12. That's just wonderful.Jim,keep out of this, please.I don't have any parts you wanted too, sorry. Here's the deal. I drove it up there that night, just before he and his posse got there. It ran just as fine as when I drove it upstate and back to pick up my plow, about a 190 mile trip. So,even with weight in it it was fine.Sure there's rust.I never said anything about it being rustfree, underside,or anywhere.I told him about the rear wheel wells having been cut out and ready for new metal, etc. I even included a second rear crossmember....as well as a ton of extra parts.....I lowered the price too. I asked those in attendance to inspect it and let me know what they thought the best price was for it.They all said at least $700,and most of them said even more.I was the one who, again, trying to be the good guy, said "I'll let him take it for the lowest price everyone tossed out" ($700) This is the last I want to hear of this, got it???? This is my post about moving out and getting rid of items for FREE. My issues with Tim are settled. To hear anymore crap after this is just stupid small talk. One more thing.Tim drove 7 1/2 hours because he screwed up.He's only 4 1/2 hours away.My friends (both attorneys) live in his town so I know how long it takes when you go about it properly....as in,take a map with you if you aren't sure where you're going. Look,I just don't need anymore troubles with the Brat or waste any more time on this. I've treated everyone as best as I can and if you don't like something about me or associated with me that's just too bad.I'll send you a box of tissues to cry in. Cheers or go ************ yourself.
  13. Issues???? Well,I've got one now. To be discussed later, after things are worked out. Any support is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the kind words. It seems Tim spent the night lingering around the truck stop thinking I was going to stay up there and be able to return the Brat that he's now refusing.....after signing for it. Tim,you won't see this untill you get home,I take it.I hope when I go up there now that we settle this so that both parties are satisfied. After the dozens of PM's back and forth and everythngi I threw in,and lowering the price, and LETTING YOU MAKE A PAYMENT DEAL.....I just don't know what else you've been expecting from a 1986 Brat After this I'm totally DONE with dealing with anyone under 25 who isn't entirely established in the realm of Subarus.
  14. I have a huge issue with Tim and will be going to my workshop now to straighten things out. He's already signed for it and taken possesion and now he wants to return it.....like I need this now.EVERYONE: please don't mind me I'm loosing my marbles....thanks.I'm about to freak out on Tim.Let's hope all works out well.Any support at this time would be greatly appreciated Last night was the "Twilight Zone" of evenings....I just want to wrap up everything and take my game elsewhere.
  15. Ahh,but this has been in the works for some time now.I'll be seeing you soon,I'm sure. And I'm thinking the Brat might still be here...we'll see how Tim makes out.
  16. Yikes, then I must be insane for taking my '78 wagon to Carlisle,my '84 wagon to Maine(twice, and almost to Canada) and the White Mountains, and New Jersey twice....your Impreza should make it just fine, but then again I have no idea what condition it is in.Not trying to be sarcastic, but my point is that you'll make it.If you drive the car every day, chances are it'll be just fine on a long trip. I do have a battery you can take.I'm just going to let you take the older battery. It's in my daily driver,so don't be scared. As for a plate,I can toss something on there. And I can make it look really good (regi sticker)...and if it's dark out I'll make it look even better. I'm not saying this is the best way to do things, but I was 21 once.....actually I dragged it out, might still be 21.:-\ Drive safe and smart and nobody gets hurt or ticketed.
  17. What do you think? Come on down....I make Boston in 2 1/2 hours. Sunday is ok too. Sorry Skip, now back to Skip's post....
  18. THe big problem is that when the reed valves break apart on the tips they allow too much heat through. That heat goes into the black plastic flying saucer (silencer) and melts it to poop. The poop ends up in your carb and when the molten poop cools it hardens and you see hard little doo doos in your carbie. You may also find some deposits inside you valve/rocker covers if you have some misfires.
  19. Tim,don't sweat it.You don't have to committ to the Brat.I'm a little disappointed but I'll get over it.The real pain will be where I'll have to park it now.Somehow,I will find somebody to hold it for me.Maybe this is a sign that I should tuck it away for a couple of months and just hold onto it and the plow. OK,and now back to our show...... RAIN OR SHINE. Please feel free to email me for my number if you don't have it already. I'll be there both days.If someone wants to bring children let me know and I'll try to have my family there when you're here.My son is 7 1/2 and my daughter is almost 4.
  20. Well,at least the reed valve in there won't burn out if it's sucking cold air. ASV? Air Suction Valve?
  21. Yes,that's where it belongs. Now for punishment for not knowing that, you must drive southwesterly for around 150 miles on Saturday. Hope you can make it. Wish Skip could too.
