Guys,I took up the collection after you all left. It's for the guy on the west coast's family.(Hunting accident.)If interested in making it one group donation send to me if you can chip in.If I don't hear from you I will just send in the total from myself,EJ,Dave, and Steve. I'll be writing a check to Mudrat's wife who is putting the money into the memorial fund.

Sounds great but will you still have a place to live if you bring it home? THere's an '83? Turbo sedan here in Bpt.,you may have heard us talk about. It's still there, not terrible shape but tranny is shot.It could help you with your latest find if you get it.Just a thought. For about what you paid me for the coupe you could have a turbo sedan with lots of extras. The turbo in Bpt. was at $200 but I'm pretty sure they'd dump it for $150,maybe a little less if I catch them on a good day.

Stock ROCKS!!!! No sweat EJ,we're used to that.(Luc) I'd give VA or western NC a shot but it'd have to be planned well in advance and it'd more than likely need to be a family vacation for me.LostWater's area is nice and hilly.Heck,we could use his backyard and have a blast! And there's native brookies in the stream too!! I like those motion shots.Man I wish we all lived closer to PB.Not the worlds toughest off roading but just fun enough for us. We all need a lifted Hatch or Brat.Only you need to be able to have places to play with them.Hard to do in this area.

Dilemma: too nice to part out?
moosens replied to playswithfire's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
How about knowing that you have a solid car that cost peanuts to insure and pay taxes on?And whats 20 hours to a single guy? Something to consider if you know about life on our end.But I also agree that a carb'd sedan is low on the list of cars to bother with. It's all up to the end user and what they expect to do with it.If you want to dump your time and money into it it'll never make the $$ back but you can drive it mighty inexpensively here and not be embarassed by its looks.Quite contrary to driving most 80's Subarus on the east coast. Coin toss!!!!Heads it's EAST ,Tails it's WEST -
hahaha I had a feeling #50 was going to be that shot. To explain,I got at least 2 full turns on the trailing arm bolt.Good to check before driving on the highway @ 75mph for 2+ hrs. Nice shots Steve. You think you got enough of your car? So do we try for April or just get everyone to Carlisle in May?

Can you tell my wife that please? Welcome aboard.

Thanks for posting Dave!! We named our son Luc spelled that way because he's half French. Not my half.

You're welcome to call my cell phne from 8:30-10PM tonight or email, post and I'll check before bed tonight....and a quick check in the AM before blasting off. -

one ringy dingy........two ringy dingy........make old Al Bell proud and use the PHONE.....like a real vintage owner should. BTW,I'd trade being popular on the USMB for your(my)'75 wagon.....but I won't hold my breath. I'll do what ever you need done my friend. So,like are you talking about this Friday, today?Or next Friday which would be the night AFTER Mischief Night?....Which could be detrimental to the health and well being of dad's soon to be wagon.....Milford isn't that bad but being in an industrial zone there's lots of advantage to the would be evil wrong doers.....they could have weapons of mass destruction.I go through this every year since my old Chevy truck was egged about 6 years ago.Yes,it's payback for when I was a young punk,I know.....eggs,whipped cream, toilet paper, the whole nine yards...... -
WV/Pittsburgh area meet/junk run

Most places don't want kids in the yards or my son would be with me when I take trips to yards. -
Nay,negatory,nope....I'll try to get up there Friday. What I got from talking with the owner: Been sitting 2 years on driveway, not dirt(big plus) Has low topper, rear seats seperated but intact, driver's seat wear like all of them(shut up those of you with no rips the rest of us hate you)metalic green with tan interior......the guy poured a little gas down the carb and it fired right up. Does NOT have any bars.Nor does it have a plow He mentioned the doors getting a little rust at the bottom and wasn't sure about the rear wheel wells and rockers, etc. Tune in tomorrow for the exciting conclusion..........

When I said that I've had my turbo wagon since summer and haven't had time to truely look it over I wasn't kidding. Looked at the valve cover on the driver's side and there were these two stickers from ATK.Looks like I've got a reman engine in my '87 turbo wagon...the rustfree one from the southwest. My car runs very strong and the engine seems like it's got about 30k on it tops.Car had 145K.I never did a Carfax report.I'm wondering if that would show in one of those reports. OK,tell me your ATK experiences. Thanks!

Keith, you coming to Pine Barrens this time? Change the seals when converting.Might be a good idea to get a used compressor and change out on a bench.I think you may need to change seals under the dash too....not sure, but I know Aldo did on his Brat.

anyone heard of an "fe"?
moosens replied to the sucker king's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Correct,Fuel Efficient....and boy they were...or are.I loved mine back in like 1983 or so.A real buzz bomb that surprised a LOT of people when I left a stop light. Higher comp. pistons as mentioned prev. -
