  1. I didn't send any coin yet but he's got a heap of stuff for me including manuals that I had to outbid other cretins for.I'd realll like to get my stuff but at least I'm not out any dough.
  2. Todd,FedEx Ground should be well under $100.I've used them a few times on trannies and it's never been more than $70 or so.Once you get into "freight" it's extra.
  3. Uhh,why did Subaru of America celebrate thier 30th anniversary in 1998? You guys said '67 and '69 but I always knew it to be 1968 that Subaru sold cars in the USA.....correct me if I'm wrong and I'll sit in the corner for an hour.
  4. pliers, not the 17mm you probably tried using.THey almost never come off with an open end wrench.I've got one of those cables around too somewhere.
  5. Cool score!!I have a 57k tranny for you.We'll talk soon.
  6. Joe,the 360 was 13-10 years before that from '68 to '71 I believe. It had a two-stroke motor of 360cc capacity as I understand it.
  7. Dave, the panels are for power windows and just grab the whole panel. You have to remove the whole thing to be able to swap the top portion anyway.Thanks....I'd love to join you at Harry's.Check with me when you plan on going and maybe I can swing it.October is a CrAzY busy month for me. I'll still take the wheel because I did ask for it.Meanwhile that MF'er stole my alloys and RX so I don't have but 1 of that type wheel......pisses me off(insert much swearing). I also need the small blue clips that the cargo cover hooks into at the REAR of the cargo area,NOT the bigger one for the roll by the seat.I need the driver's side but a set would be nice.I know I probably have them somewhere but with 2 blue interior wagons I'll take another set too.
  8. What is the difference between a touring wagon and the "regular" wagon (besides the raised roof)?*****My touring can take up to 15 gallons at times-might be a little bigger tank, besides that it's just better looking, touring has smaller roof rack, getting a rear window or trim can be VERY difficult, unless you have good board buddies... Do the all sound like a manifold gasket is letting loose or is there one letting loose?*****typical used Subaru Does anyone make touch up paint in a spray can? The dealer only has the little vials and I need to clean up the roof...*******ise bleach and hot water.Read the label on the bleach bottle. You'll be loving life,as for paint try the dealer, ask them to check the distributor if they say they don't have it. What should I expect for gas mileage (on average)?******upper 20's lower 30's It's a little (very) slow off the line and doesn't pick up until the revs climb a bit then it starts to pull well. Is this normal? I know that that's a hard question to answer, but it barely spins the front wheels in the dirt if that helps...*****tune up,treat it righ and use hightest 92 octane minimum,oh and it's an automatic so forget about ever having it feel strong again unless you get a new transmission which will cost more than the value of the car. Are there any aftermarket cd players that would fit the stock dash opening? Mine currently has the receiver/cassette combo where the cassette player is a little smaller then the receiver.*****not sure, getting too old,I still have an 8track player and AM radio LOL Do you follow the maintenence schedule in the owners manual or are there other things that I should be doing regularly?****Religion my friend, make it your religion.....oil changes, tune ups as your manual says...right about now you should be considering changing the timing belts, cam seals and O rings.Even though it's low mileage you still need to consider that your seals are 15 years old almost.Smart to replace the front main and oil pump seals,as well as the water pump gaskets and O ring for the tube. Use NGK plugs.
  9. Dennis,do you need dough for the window to get the sticker?? I'll help you out.Email me if you do.I'll send what you asked for...whatever that was... Ahoy thar maytee!!!!!
  10. Not far at all Smitty.....you gonna be around October 25th?? Dave-I will pay for MINT condition blue panels.Steve brought some up,and they're good, but I want exception quality for my baby if still available. You see a sweet blue interior there for my wagon just get the panels and I'll gladly toss you some beer money over the rest. Hey,you still have a wheel right? What was that?An "H" style alloy? Smitty, hope to see you.Ciao!
  11. I think the thing to do this year is to have the strap already attatched and coiled up in the interior through an open window.Once stuck, just heave the strap off the port bow and hope a good strong sailor comes along.
  12. Trog is right, sorry Smitty. Come to Pine Barrens in October if you can.Meanwhile I'll find the blue ones soon.I've got several cars lined up.
  13. Bill of Sale?? Write with your other hand. I've asked many suppliers, etc up here and there really aren't any known 70's Subarus going except ours......but I'm sure there's an old lady out there somewhere still pushing a '7? around.
  14. They'll also work on SPFI by blocking the side portholes.Been there, done that.....made it another 100k with no problems. Any interest in a group purchase? He mentioned 2.2 heads are also available.
  15. blasted out the door about when you posted.Gotta move quick to catch the moose,my man! What kind of deal we talkin here?
  16. Uh,I hear ya,but I'm thinking way beyond the Brat. But I'm not thinking of making military vehicles.Let Subazoo fill in any of those details. ......you ain't kiddin!!!!!
  17. THe main charachters:Subazoo-owner of a Baird(?)machine to make various structural and sheetmetal parts and conected with numerous folks overseas. Me-moosens-had contributed a few ideas including using old buildings here in CT where lots of industry has gone elsewhere. No mentions of shipyards but hey you were close. I was just thinking of this again the other day.I want to build dual range,Subaru powered cars and MPV's.I still think this could happen....all it takes is money...so it won't happen in my house anytime soon. Scott,if you see this I'm sorry to have not gotten back to you about the land/house deal.I'll talk to you soon,I promise.
  18. Tapper, yes there's a couple of them. I just had to crush a '76 GF.Too bad,it just needed some welding and a place to stay.My advice if you're looking is to spend the money on transport and get one from the non rust zones. Feel free to email me if you want to talk vintage.Cheers
  19. Not much up here anymore.CT boasts a whopping 2!!, 78 wagons licensed. One is mine and the other is Wagon78's WagonsOnly has my former '75 that he NEEDS to get on the road. No real guess on the nimbers.Infact I was thinking of the same type of post. It'll be interesting to find out.At least to us it will be.
  20. waaaagh:boohoo: well,if you really need to........you know if you drive down you can leave it on the grass parking lot and go in the woods with someone.I'll have my son in the back seat so no boozing it up.
