  1. Yeah,I feel the same way.I'm juts holding out for that slim chance that I can go this weekend.Doesn't look good right now. :boohoo:
  2. Don't even tell me Indiana drew that....if so,damn he's good for 5 1/2!!
  3. Skip seems to be all over this. He's the genious of the operation. All I know is I had the same problem and now I'm loving life.Like he said in your other post, check for power to the blower fan under the glove box first.Good luck.
  4. Very entertaining night here on the 9th floor overlooking Park Ave. Plenty of accidents and dozens of folks who could not make it up the little hill in front of our bldg. Cops closed the street going uphill untill the sand/plow trucks could get here. Should be a fun Saturday!!! Better than freezing while boneyarding........I think.:cornfuzz:
  5. Uhh,like I said,I had the same problem and it was indeed the relay. The prongs were absolutely noticeably blueish and toasted out.Perhaps a short developed somewhere causing the same result. All I know is that I have HEAT!!! and love it!! I also NOW have A/C,Def.,BiLevel.
  6. Damn near crunched the turbo wagon tonight.Slick stuff on the shoreline.
  7. The flakes are IN Morgantown, not on Morgantown Just starting here, said to be 6" when done.
  8. Just did this earlier today!! Under the driver's side of the dash.Take down the panel.Take the fuse box down but no need to disconnect.Look up,you'll see 4 relays all the same. The heater/fan is the one with the to the left on my '87 wagon. It's the one with the smaller wires, not the thicker black wires. When you take the relay out you'll see that 2 of the 4 prongs are blueish-shorted out-toast!!!. Enjoy!! If you need known good relays I'll be happy to send you one.Email me if you do want one.
  9. You know my cell # I'll be working in Satmford from 5PM on so I'll cover you from Ffld county up to the GWBridge or TappanZee. If you're really in a mess and ccan't get me(voice mail only) call my wife and ask her to beep me.I'll call you at that point. Now,as long as this appears to be happening can you get the tranny to Steve? It's in Milford.Really for this to happen the planets need to be aligned properly.I have very limited time before needing to head to Stamford.gotta be there at 5,not later,so leaving Milford by 4-4:15 the latest.First getting the kid from school, drop him off here so my time frame is about from 3:30 to 4:15 in Milford.......IF you CAN do this call IMMEDIATELY. If not I really won't cry about not getting that car.And you'll probably be more at ease driving back. Just got my heat working in the turbo wagon so Steve's car is much less appealing right now.I've already told hom to do as he must,if it sells to someone else that's cool. Safe trip,hi to dad......oh,did you pay Chris yet!!!????
  10. If it's not as bad as they make it look like its going to be maybe I can still go in my car.Playing it as it comes.
  11. Sorry guys, had to pull the plug.Wagon78 has a 2wd truck and it's going to be icy and snowy. Possibilities of NEXT WEEK??????? Sign up again...
  12. Ira,I denied your PM by accident,I swear... so send one again or email me.I can take a pic of the wiring diagram or give you the info you want. The manual is right here at home now. I sold my '82 GLF to Andrew(WagonsOnly). It's a really cool car and I wish I could have kept it for at least a while.Hopefully Andrew will care for it and it'll be there to admire.Gotta be the last one in CT,maybe all of New England and the northeast still on the road. Good luck with yours.Only problem is keeping all the young girls from hounding you.Chicks love GLF hardtops!
  13. hahahaha!!!!! I just called and did the same thing you did.Got the same story, she said they just crushed a bunch but there's still more 80's Subarus. Well,it could be a quick in and out so maybe we'll be at Ringgold around 11,we'll see.
  14. Well,it was a U-pull it place a year and a half ago.I'll try to call later.
  15. Only if you want to.....Go for it! You have my blessing. If it doesn't happen I won't cry.Good luck I should have bid a backup bid.My mistake.
  16. Thanks Keith! The map makes it look like that's the place. And Grange Rd. sounds very familiar. Big open space on that map right there.I'll bet my left you know what its the place. OK Gotta go,see everyone later or tomorrow.
  17. I'll do my best to get Faust's location.I rely on Scott(wagon78) because he used to live near there and know how to get there.I have thier business card here somewhere. Can someone with a little time try the Yellow pages or something?I'm way over my head right now with my bldg's elections and meeting tonight.Tension is at an all time high.Sorry,I just can't do much Subaru thinking today. Faust is a huge yard, not a garage with 50 Subarus, that's for sure.I do know that last time we were there the owned said they need to make room for the new highway entrance(?) if that helps figure where they are. Basically when traveling west on 78 you take the next exit after the big wooden walls(sound barriers),go right off exit,go to intersection take right,go up to some factories and take a right,go over some RR tracks.....sorry after that its not very far at all.So it's near RR tracks and a highway.
  18. Thanks again Boz.I just put the info in my address book. I do want to try to drive it off the lot.Hopefully home after fixing it on his lot.If not then it'll go to Boz's and I'll operate on it there.
  19. I kind of did ask. That's when he said he does this for a living and that he should know........even sounded like a Bubba. No offense you guys down south but he had the "drawl" and I'm sure he drives a pickup with a rebel flag on it and a case of Bud in the back. ...or is it Pabst? We'll see what Bubba neglected to see when I get my paws on it.
  20. Bring that sucker down and park it next to my touring wagon.Maybe they'll make little Hatchbacks with raised roofs. Holiday party in Milford,CT on the 27th or 28th this month. The holiday extraveganza...or some b/s like that.Good to see more New Englanders here. Mine is a GL touring with just about 200k,should turn the magic # this week.Don't break that rear glass!!They're a bitch to find. Enjoy!
  21. Correct, the one in Browns Mill NJ not far from Boz. Bent valves is what he said.He says "I ought to know I do this for a living.".........oh,ok Bubba. How much you want to bet the T-belts are off a tooth or timing is whacked? If they truely are bent or the engine is a total dog I've got a swapper for it. OK Boys, back off, she's MINE!!! BOZ!!!! Where is you is??? Again, sorry to post here.I'll call tomorrow just to make contact without typing.
  22. I've got it but its at my workshop.I'm heading up there now so maybe if I remember I'll bring it home with me.Unfortunately my scanner isn't working at the moment. You can use the Private Message button here and ask me what it is you need to see and I'll do my best to convey the info.I might even be able to take a pic of the page and send it to you, that's be easier.
