  1. I won't be going up there Thursday as planned. The old fellow won't be around so I'll be going NEXT WEEK. Thanks for all your patience.I'll update the original post after I get up there next time.
  2. I looked into this a couple years ago and the best was $850 coast to coast. Chris, pay me a couple hundred and by me a ticket home.
  3. Todd!!!!!!! You get yourself to church this Sunday boy!!! We don't want to hear about this piddley little rust issue.Be thankful you're in Texas,or at least not up north.
  4. I have a radiator support already cut out and ready to set in for a quad light set-up.Make an offer and cover shipping. The rest is easy.Wiring is not a big problem.I also should have the grill for sure and probably the whole set up,headlights and corner markers complete. I'd let the whole deal go super cheap, like $60 plus shipping.Radiator support, grill, headlights in bezels, and corner markers.Provided I still have the whole set up.
  5. Sorry,I can't help you. bacaruda-I know you're trying to help but I'd really like for folks with the older cars to check that post thoroughly and see what gets posted when I finally dig through and post. It's not the kind of thing where I can take orders.I really didn't see any XT6 parts offhand when I was there. "tailgatewagon" did infact have a post going about just such activity, getting parts cheaper than anyone else and dealer stock at that.Check with him, maybe he can get replacement air suspension so cheap that it'd be worth it.You never know.
  6. Forget numbers,we're all a little loco.Party on Board!!!!
  7. '87 EA82T.My local Subaru senior master tech says it could be a grounding issue.Any thoughts? Idle stays steady upon starting but once you kick it down it wants to jump from about 1500 to 2500 PRM. After driving around, and then shutting the car off it'll act perfectly. At that point it'll idle at around 1100 or 1000. My gas mileage blows bigtime.SPFI gets around 30mpg and the turbo gets more like 20mpg.....bogus dude! Possibly related to grounding(?) is the fact that my radio when on AM has heavy interference when cold/just starting up.Later on it'll sound fine. Thanks for any help.Cheers!
  8. Can you research the part number from some source, say like subaruparts dot com and let me know what it is? I just sold a rebuild for carbs from '81-2 or so.I have at least one more of those, maybe more, and another carb re-build kit for a later model. I'm also involved in helping an old dealer blow out some old stock.I came across several carb rebuild kits today but had no time to get p/n's checked.Didn't even take note of the p/n's but I will soon.
  9. Subarfreak, you talking about Holmgren's 360 p/u???? Stop by there today,I'll be there from about 10-1:30 if you are able to get there.I understand that you'll probably be working but just thought I'd offer a chance to meet. His 360 is in the service area.Just sits there, guys lean stuff on it,the cargo area has junk in it,but it's still a really nice example.
  10. No need for apologies mate.As so often it happens, you probably just took what I typed with a twist of 'tude,to which there is not. Just wondering if you had a wagon in that stable that was capable, cheap, and most of all D/R...but I'll probably stick with plan A for now.Sorry,I'll be gentle with it. Sure I like the touring wagon but it's just another rusting wagon.I wish I had the extra time and/or money to get it in 100% solid shape. As it is it's a great wagon.Looks really good from the sides.Nothing scary yet.And the underside is not bad either. It'll be off by mid April. The beater 3door is ideal but I'd need to put another engine in.....hmmm,I'm getting another engine that I know runs great and I personally did the tune up on just months ago......hmmmm....Man,that'll be even more bitchin......hmmmmm. Gotta be someone else plowing in a 3door right?:-p
  11. thanks Skip....can you supply me with a beater wagon with a lo range 4WD for the winter? That'd help. Hi Brad, thanks for the info.So maybe I should have kept that XT6 alternator I had. Second battery anyone? I'm going to drop it off at my friend's business and have them hook it all up.Somethings I'd rather pay for.I'll see what they say too. Thanks everybody.Keep the info coming if there's anything else to consider. the plow is NOT homemade.I'll get the specs later. It's at another board member's house right now.Maybe he'll stop in and post the mfg. Me,I was too happy to give a poop.Hopefully I'll make some dough in the next couple of months with it.
  12. Sure did,and I got your manuals also.Thanks.I'll return all mannies to owners ASAP.Ciao Didn't have time today.Going for the big trip tomorrow I think.
  13. Hi Konrad, We have a switch installed in my inlaw's '83 EA81.Mandatory in my opinion.I have the feeling nobody wlse drives your car.Otherwise just leave a note telling people to turn it on and off. Cheers!
  14. Ahhh yes,the one Tim told us about in the pawn shop. To die for.....well,maybe give a nut for......well,maybe cut a thumb off for.......well,maybe....... She sure is a thing to behold.
  15. Anyone running a plow here?I may soon have the only touring wagon with a plow in my neighborhood.Do I need extra juice? Plow has metal blade.
  16. I should have some decent door seals for you if you can't score new stock. If not them WagonsOnly has them. From a '75 4WD wagon. I'm going to be needing the manuals like Monday or this week sometime.Maybe I'll just have to go back another time.I'm just hoping the guy doesn't try to get 50% of new.He says Subaru will pay him that much, which is B/S.Hopefully he'll be cool. We missed several dealer's worth of stuff that got tossed. He's still got this stuff, but it ain't anywhere near what it was 2 years ago. That's why I'd like to get in and get out with the items I know we all need and want and not waste time with crap like Justy parts or '76 Rally Wagon parts....just kiddin....you know what I mean.
  17. heartless-that's a wussy EA81 core swap. You can stand tall when you do your EA82 swap!!!!!! If it's not difficult and painful what fun is it?????
  18. I didn't think you had to strip the steering wheel.I'm going to drop it down and rest it on the floor.Need be I'll disconnect it from the u-joint and pull it whole before taking all the plastic off. Personal opinion. But hey,you did it,I haven't,so YOU da man! I've had too may of these cars stipped down like your picture to not practically "feel" my way around this job. We WILL WIN !!!!!!! Heat by February!!!!!!!
  19. Got 'em Skipper!! Big help! Thanks....you want the velvet saddle for that ride?
  20. Mick is supposed to be getting my shell, but you're next Skipper. Nothing is definite with this kart.
  21. bumpy la roo Mick?Shawn?SOA???? Anybody have any info on these?
  22. Bump!!! Thanks guys, haven't seen any yet but I hear they're coming. This is extremely important!!!!! Those who help will be knighted and honored in the palace courtyard and given a virgin to ride off into the sunset with.
  23. Rory, was that "Mill Supply" or Miller Supply? I've seen Mill, but not Miller. Bitchin hatch!!!! Yes,boys and girls cars that are well worth keeping make it to the yards every day, every hour, all across this waste wasteland. We could all tell stories for days on this subject.
