  3. I've got it.It's stored in MS Word.If you need it email me and I'll reply with it. moosens at yahoo dot kahm Urethane Transmission Mounts- EA-81 Series Transmissions The urethane used is a tough, temperature resistant, and comparatively hard to other urethanes. With excellent damping properties, the transmission will run more efficiently, there will be more power surge to the halfshafts during acceleration, and off-road performance is greatly enhanced. Installation The kit includes two urethane inserts to be used with the existing transmission brackets. The rod that skewers the mounts are tabs to be bent in place during installation- Pulling these rods out or not bending them during installation could result in loss of the insert during heavy use- they are there in order for the mounts to work properly. 1) Relieve the engine pitch rod, so that the adjusting nut on either side is free to turn by hand, in other words, let the engine/transmission go to it’s natural resting position. 2) Loosen the two 12mm bolts that fasten the mount to the transmission, but do not remove the bracket that connects to the transmission directly. 3) If your mounts are completely shot, the stock mount should slide out- this is the part surrounded by the C shape piece bolted to the crossmember. If they are still bonded, loosen the 14mm nut from the crossmember to completely remove the mount as one unit. 4) With a razor blade, sharp pocket knife or steak knife, etc, cut away all rubber that is bonded to the mount. The points of interest are the surfaces of the bracket that have the two 12mm bolt pattern on it, and the lower-inner surface of the C bracket that mounts to the crossmember. With a wire brush, sandpaper, or file, remove the rubber until bare metal is showing all the way around. This is especially important for the lower-inner surface of the C bracket. 5) With all surfaces clean, re-mount the C bracket onto the crossmember and give it a few threads so it is loose. 6) Push the two 12mm bolt bracket into the slot of the insert, making sure that it is orientated so that the rod is facing up. 7) Push the bracket/insert combo back into place, and align the insert to the center of the whole assembly- this may take some work being a tight fit. 8) Bend the ends of the rod upward until they are pointing straight up. 9) Bolt the bracket down- depending on the condition of your vehicle, you may need to place a floor jack underneath the transmission to get the holes to line up. 10) Bend the rods the rest of the way, making them flush with the upper surface of the mount until they do not move or rattle. In the event the mounts do not fit, write or email for your money back: Chad Van Liere 448 E. Seneca Tucson, AZ 85710 cvan@gci-net.com I tried to copy and paste it here...hope it worked
  4. Workin on it bud...workin on it....I'll lok it over and see if I can reply with a decent answer.
  5. THe guy with the urethane ones was "Cvan".He made a few but not many for sale.He donated the drawing so others can make them. Up here my local dealer can get whatever I need in a few days tops.Usually the next day or 2 days. That's including stuff from the other region's warehouses like the west coast, etc. Call Perkins Subaru in Milford CT for kicks. If I think of it I'll stop by or call tomorrow and check price and availability. We all need them sooner or later.I might even be able to get some produced in urethane if we have enough interest.
  6. Maybe you guys will get it and we won't.Just the opposite of last year when you guys couldn't buy the white stuff and we had tons of it. Happy trails!!!!!
  7. I have a used one but I would say go for a new one from Subaru.I know it's more but it works and only cost $53(I do get a frequent customer discount). Even a new one from the stores would be more recommended than my used one.You can have mine used one for $5 plus shipping if you want it.But of you're in a hurry I'm not the guy to deal with right now.I'm way behind on getting stuff out.
  8. Yes Tommy, unfortunately I've been extremely busy.I'll get to you ASAP
  9. George please remind me later or email me at moosens at yahoo dot com...sorry,gotta fly.....
  10. Doh!! I knew there was some connection...... OK I'll put them on my list.
  11. Wish list: blue door panels like you brought up ('87-9 sedan and wagon w/power windows),only MINT....otherwise I'll get by. blue clips for cargo cover(the little catch pieces in the way back of the car)'85+ wagon blue carpet worth cleaning-for my '89 wagon(front only is fine) Thanks for any help.I can't make it this weekend but I am trying to plan a run to PA very soon.
  12. ....yeah,but you told me to hold off because Mick was hooking you up,or someone else. So,what was the bid price? My email still works you know.
  13. Joe,I've got a few.Which vehicle do you need it for? Non adjustable type only.
  14. What fun would that be? As I've heard the 5spd does work.As for parts YES,you should still be able to get them if you know the right people Digi-dash....well,there has to be something that won't work right or it wouldn't be an old Subaru, post Gen I. THere's also an '83?wagon I'm getting this week and a 2WD XT w/spider intake tomorrow or Wed.. I'm also getting an '88 or 89 3door w/D/R 5spd all 3 for under $251 The '83 waggin has a cut rad. support but comes with multitudes of extra parts. The XT is very decent, super clean inside, very small rot spots, mostly solid and runs like a muthuh. The 3doors is a rot box with minimal nutritional value. I'd get the EA81Turbo sedan but I'm once again overbooked.:-\
  15. Guys,I took up the collection after you all left. It's for the guy on the west coast's family.(Hunting accident.)If interested in making it one group donation send to me if you can chip in.If I don't hear from you I will just send in the total from myself,EJ,Dave, and Steve. I'll be writing a check to Mudrat's wife who is putting the money into the memorial fund.
  16. Sounds great but will you still have a place to live if you bring it home? THere's an '83? Turbo sedan here in Bpt.,you may have heard us talk about. It's still there, not terrible shape but tranny is shot.It could help you with your latest find if you get it.Just a thought. For about what you paid me for the coupe you could have a turbo sedan with lots of extras. The turbo in Bpt. was at $200 but I'm pretty sure they'd dump it for $150,maybe a little less if I catch them on a good day.
  17. Stock ROCKS!!!! No sweat EJ,we're used to that.(Luc) I'd give VA or western NC a shot but it'd have to be planned well in advance and it'd more than likely need to be a family vacation for me.LostWater's area is nice and hilly.Heck,we could use his backyard and have a blast! And there's native brookies in the stream too!! I like those motion shots.Man I wish we all lived closer to PB.Not the worlds toughest off roading but just fun enough for us. We all need a lifted Hatch or Brat.Only you need to be able to have places to play with them.Hard to do in this area.
  18. How about knowing that you have a solid car that cost peanuts to insure and pay taxes on?And whats 20 hours to a single guy? Something to consider if you know about life on our end.But I also agree that a carb'd sedan is low on the list of cars to bother with. It's all up to the end user and what they expect to do with it.If you want to dump your time and money into it it'll never make the $$ back but you can drive it mighty inexpensively here and not be embarassed by its looks.Quite contrary to driving most 80's Subarus on the east coast. Coin toss!!!!Heads it's EAST ,Tails it's WEST
  19. hahaha I had a feeling #50 was going to be that shot. To explain,I got at least 2 full turns on the trailing arm bolt.Good to check before driving on the highway @ 75mph for 2+ hrs. Nice shots Steve. You think you got enough of your car? So do we try for April or just get everyone to Carlisle in May?
  20. Can you tell my wife that please? Welcome aboard.
