  1. Justin, get any snow?Weather channel showed you in the path of a squawl or two. free bump for north Georgia-home of Scott Ru$$ell,World Superbike Champion and the only 5 TIME winner of the Daytona 200!!!!
  2. You are hereby invited to my holiday party. It's in Milford,CT just about and hour from NYC.Exit 40 off I-95 northbound.Go left at the end of the exit.Up to the intersection of Woodmont Rd. and take a right. You'll see a Shell station on your left, then a Dunkin donuts, then a small industrial park.I'm in there-230 Woodmont Rd. unit 41-C Date-Saturday Dec. 27th or Sunday if there's some wicked snow storm.Late morning or early afternoon, whenever you can get there. There's at least one guy from PA coming, maybe the NJ guys will make it too. We're fairly well experienced in these cars from the 70's through the 80's.Feel free to email or post here. We'll probably go to NJ in the springtime.Pine Barrens-Wharton State forest and Atco.
  3. Yo Cornstalk, shoot those numbers over to me and I'll check my '77-79 FPM for you. Cheers!
  4. Brian, send me an email with price on a complete engine set. Thanks
  5. You tell him Johnny!!! There's a few folks on eBay ocassionally. Some of the folks I've dealt with for EA71 and earlier items- Matthew Moore -matt@always-jaguar.com bdturn7@aol.com -a.k.a. Bill Turner Hubler's Engines - hublerengines@proaxis.com Might want to try Hal Coots,I don't have the info but a few folks have gone to him/them. closeout1@msn.com -These folks were also helpful at times. If you find some other sources please be a good sport and let the few of us know who drive EA71's and earlier.Thanks.
  6. .......oh well, can't win 'em all. Lemme know when the steamship arrives.I'll be in port.....Bridge port, yuk yuk :-p
  7. Moose man says it is a headgasket going and that I just might have my pushbutton 4WD 3spd auto tranny by Christmas!! Actually, these suckers have been known to drive many miles in this condition.I'll have a spare motor soon if you want to swap one in to keep it away from me.I've got a few options for you if you're interested.Call or email.
  8. Funny thing though. This snow started out as the driest powder I've ever seen.Last for a few hours like that and now it's sleet and rain.New England weather.:cornfuzz:
  9. Changed to rain down here. But not untill after near blizzard conditions.First my son and I had a blast. Then daddy went out solo for thrills and adventure.Nice 'n greasy today.Too bad it's warming up for the next few days down here. I wonder if this is going to be like last year? Not even New Years and we've gotten over 2ft. on the shoreline already. You guys must be under 5ft. by now. Enjoy!!!
  10. beer.........what else can I say besides pork products 'n beer. Have fun! Best wishes to you too.
  11. What we really want to know is which beer did you down?
  12. Happy Birthday!!Hope you get many more down the line. Good luck with the cars.
  13. All of the above and add: 22mm socket and big breaker bar for crank pulley. sping hook for roll down window cranks punch for axle pins....better have a hammer too I keep handy a 2 or 3lb drilling hammer-like a small sledge hammer screw starters for straight and Philips heads "six way tool" which is a painter's tool, like a putty knife only with other funtions. Cold chisel-goes well with drilling hammer penetrating oil for rusty bolts-PB Blaster seems to be the best(and I'm a former Liquid Wrench addict) Wheel chocks!!!! Could save your life same for Jack Stands!!!! nothing like being alive to tell about your ordeal. 32mm socket if you have a 4wd other items that are in my box that have been used: duck bill pliers regular pliers channel lock pliers needle nose pliers Vice Grips allen wrenches-but mostly you need the large one(10mm??) for the drain plug(heads) should you ever do that I'm sure there's a couple more oddball items too that I'm not thinking of right now. Other helpful items: heat-as in torch, for those really PIA bolts air tools and compressor test meter thread saver-I use Permatex's silvery stuff 2 jacks light source for under car, etc. gloves-especially when dealing with used oil!!!!! and once in a great while: Sawzall 10lb. sledge hammer beer
  14. Yeah,I feel the same way.I'm juts holding out for that slim chance that I can go this weekend.Doesn't look good right now. :boohoo:
  15. Don't even tell me Indiana drew that....if so,damn he's good for 5 1/2!!
  16. Skip seems to be all over this. He's the genious of the operation. All I know is I had the same problem and now I'm loving life.Like he said in your other post, check for power to the blower fan under the glove box first.Good luck.
  17. Very entertaining night here on the 9th floor overlooking Park Ave. Plenty of accidents and dozens of folks who could not make it up the little hill in front of our bldg. Cops closed the street going uphill untill the sand/plow trucks could get here. Should be a fun Saturday!!! Better than freezing while boneyarding........I think.:cornfuzz:
  18. Uhh,like I said,I had the same problem and it was indeed the relay. The prongs were absolutely noticeably blueish and toasted out.Perhaps a short developed somewhere causing the same result. All I know is that I have HEAT!!! and love it!! I also NOW have A/C,Def.,BiLevel.
  19. Damn near crunched the turbo wagon tonight.Slick stuff on the shoreline.
  20. The flakes are IN Morgantown, not on Morgantown Just starting here, said to be 6" when done.
  21. Just did this earlier today!! Under the driver's side of the dash.Take down the panel.Take the fuse box down but no need to disconnect.Look up,you'll see 4 relays all the same. The heater/fan is the one with the to the left on my '87 wagon. It's the one with the smaller wires, not the thicker black wires. When you take the relay out you'll see that 2 of the 4 prongs are blueish-shorted out-toast!!!. Enjoy!! If you need known good relays I'll be happy to send you one.Email me if you do want one.
  22. You know my cell # I'll be working in Satmford from 5PM on so I'll cover you from Ffld county up to the GWBridge or TappanZee. If you're really in a mess and ccan't get me(voice mail only) call my wife and ask her to beep me.I'll call you at that point. Now,as long as this appears to be happening can you get the tranny to Steve? It's in Milford.Really for this to happen the planets need to be aligned properly.I have very limited time before needing to head to Stamford.gotta be there at 5,not later,so leaving Milford by 4-4:15 the latest.First getting the kid from school, drop him off here so my time frame is about from 3:30 to 4:15 in Milford.......IF you CAN do this call IMMEDIATELY. If not I really won't cry about not getting that car.And you'll probably be more at ease driving back. Just got my heat working in the turbo wagon so Steve's car is much less appealing right now.I've already told hom to do as he must,if it sells to someone else that's cool. Safe trip,hi to dad......oh,did you pay Chris yet!!!????
  23. If it's not as bad as they make it look like its going to be maybe I can still go in my car.Playing it as it comes.
