  1. PM's sent. Kostamojen you can have 1st jump, and I'll take runner up if it falls through Moosens are you taking a position in the lineup too? -Mike
  2. OK, we need to save this car. If I can sell my GLF then I will go get the FF1 for sure. So I posted this thread in the For sale section: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79673 Anyone out there want a GLF?
  3. There are only so many of those left in the world.. Oh man.. its so tempting. If only I had a place to keep it. Maybe... Hmm
  4. I have the same problem with my ea81T. Right when you hit 6K the thing runs out of fuel. I would do 8300 on my EF12 FI on a regular basis. That was the only way you could keep up with traffic anyway. -Mike
  5. Ok guys, check out the http://www.rotordyne.com website. You should be able to use the "contact us" email if you want to order and what lengths you need -Mike
  6. OK, so I checked the website, and everything should be up and running. Just shoot me an email through the "contact us" link with how many feet you want, shipping address, and I will reply with a total, etc. -Mike
  7. If you're looking around on the garage floor for this part, I recall it actually being a piston/cylinder looking thing rather than a ball.
  8. yeah... my webmaster is in big trouble.. It will be dealt with this week and then everything should be ok. Thanks everyone for your patience -mike
  9. Ok, so because of interest from the board and my own frustration, we are now selling Weatherstripping kits for Gen 1 Stage 1 vehicles (72-77) This is the push-on style with a bubble on the side that meets up with the door. Our weatherstrip is made from a soft butyl sponge rubber bead, and a vinyl, aluminum ribbed trim that does an excellent job of grabbing on to the pinchweld in the door jam I only have known lengths for Station wagons: Front door 10' 4" Rear door 10' can someone get me a measurement for the coupes and sedans? Price is set at $1.30 a foot for 2 WEEKS ONLY. This price is really really good, and I can only afford to do that for a while. Please Visit http://www.Rotordyne.com for ordering. I should have this up on the website within the next day or two. Once again this is for Stage 1 subarus. Because I know there is a demand out there, I am looking for a solution for Gen 1 stage 2... -Mike Rotordyne Aero
  10. OK, so I got the weatherstrip and did some actual measurements. Nominally, on stage 1 wagons, front doors take 10' 4" and rear doors take a nominal 10' The stuff I finally decided on fits great, couldent be happier. because of how soft the bubble is, in the tight corners you run into a crease. From what I can tell, it doesnt affect anything or leak any air. Anyway. at this point I must say, out of respect and fairness for the forum. GO to the vender's forum for those that are interested in getting some. -Mike
  11. Ok GUYS!!!! so I fronted the overhead for the product and placed the order for a 250 foot roll (minimum)... As soon as I get it, I am gonna post it on the rotordyne website and you guys can make purchases through there... what I am going to do is sell it almost at cost for 2-3 weeks... so thats when you guys want to be ordering it from me. Because I cant do this forever after that I will have to raise the price up to where it is worthwhile for my business. Everyone will hear from me first thing when it arrives. -Mike (once again, this is high quality replacement door weatherstrip for stage 1 subarus only, I'll look into later models as I get the spare time to do so)
  12. Sorry guys, I got distracted with all the work that has been swamped on me lately. I swear I havent forgotten. (I work 7 days a week) -Mike
  13. OK, so this was probably really unsafe seeing as the trailer & hatch weighs more than the brat does... But as long as your carefull about it. You shoulda seen the fun time Rich and I had gettin the hatch on the trailer...
  14. perhaps its different for the ea82's but I know for sure that it doesnt help you on an ea81. For every experience where I have tried one of these (I have one longer and one shorter double joint coupler) It binds. Perhaps with powersteering on the ea82s allows less stress on the double joint? -Mike
  15. OK guys, I made it back from wcss finally, so I will get crackin on this weatherstrip thing now -Mike
  16. Hey Guys, just wanted to say that I and the brat made it back no problem after my long adventure (the show was only the 1st half of my road trip) Rob and Eric, thankyou so much for draging me back on the trail (Rob, seriously I was joking when you took my spot in the lineup) Yes JB there were some aspects of the show that were a little less formal than previous.. but I have to hand it to the committe that put ot together.. I used to put together just small events when I was involved with the scouts, and it was A LOT OF WORK. Honestly I loved the show, because of how cool it was to hang out with all the board members I had met from previous shows. (next year I'll try and bring my swampers with me, lol) Scott, it was great to meet you again, and thanks for the tips on metalcasting Frank, great to meet you and thanks for the pedal cluster stuff.. I wouldent have made the trip without that Dalton, great time hanging out and I look forward to wheelin with ya sooner or later, as you are the closest person on the board to me with a rig Dave, great time hangin out, and thanks for the lunch. I gotta hand it to ya, as your sube is THE TOUGHEST stock subaru I have ever seen Arizona trio: I gotta hand it to ya for making the trip every year, I'll contact you if I get the chance to go out to the desert, or moab, etc... Jeremy, great hangin out with ya, I hope yo fixed your bummed fender.
  17. Well, I drove her around today with her new 5 speed, and it looks like I am gonna make it to the show folks!!!
  18. Isnt that a RAM engine? I was thinking about supercharging for a while, and still am I guess. I just decided to stay clear of trying it on one of the EA series motors, as every bad sube engine I have torn apart has had 1 piston explore other parts of the engine. I know it can be done, forged pistons etx, as RAM sells one, but I think it will be more worth it to tinker around with the SC and an EJ series. Especially since the SC I have is serpentine belt drive, not vbelt. -Mike
  19. Well guys, as of yesterday I started tearing into the brat. I have all the pieces I need to do the 5 speed swap, and hopefully I have enough time... I guess we'll see. (special thanks goes to fshinidiot for gettin me the pedal cluster so dang fast) -Mike
  20. I was thinkin about it, just because that one is the nicest and handles like a sports car... I just gotta figure out how to get better milage out of it. maybe if I do a 5 speed swap REALLY FAST or something... -Mike
  21. Brian, I got the time off to make the trip, I am just figuring out which vehicle to take up (meaning which one to repair the most) I'll probably be leaving wed. or thrus. -Mike
  22. OK, seriously guys.. howcome we started talking about all this Stage 2 stuff? I dont have a stage 2 car right now. All I've got is my own stage 1 wagon... HOWEVER... seeing as there is a demand, I will go look at subyguy's brat ASAP and see if TRIM-LOK makes us a product that will fit the bill.. As far as how this is going to work. I am going to convice my boss to add the product to our company (rotordyne) and you should be able to order it thru the website. Whether it be for a stage 1 or a stage 2 (assuming I can get something) Then for all eternity we will be able to replace the worn out weatherstrip on our old subies, and the world will be at peace. (BTW, just so you know, if you guys want me to make the product readily available, I WILL NEED those who want to buy it, to do so ASAP, so my non-profitable company wont go bankrupt, lol)
  23. Yeah, thats what came out of my wagon too. What I am going to order wont look EXACTLY the same.. its not quite as "bulky" making it fit in those coorners a little better, and it uses a bulb that is pretty flexible. anyway, I will post a pic of the sample they sent me tomorrow. Hopefully I will make an order by the end of the week.. more details tomorrow folks
  24. So definately Stage 1 only cars. Count myself in for 50 feet Moosens how much do you want? SubyLuvr2212 did you want a 50 foot cut? Which is plenty for 4 doors Subaru3 you want 50 feet right? I recieved my sample of the product today, the stuff is awesome. Its a stiff pinch that wont slide off like other cheap stuff, and yet its bendable to fit the radius in the corners. The bead is soft rubber that will fit to door nicely, not foam thats too stiff and will deteriorate. Long story short, I love this product, and I think you guys will love it too. Remember this comes in 250 foot lengths, so its either 1 roll or two. If I get enough people to put us halfway between a roll, then I might just stock it and sell it to whomever needs it down the road.
