  1. dang it alex! stop using my thought waves:rolleyes: -mike
  2. we used the flanges from a old stock system, bought some 90* bends, and ran flex-pipe the the 30(or so) inch packs. so no cats or anything. couldn't really tell if there was a power increase due to the suzuki t-case and 31" tires, just made it more "american" i guess. -mike
  3. how much do you figure all that would weigh? maybe a shipping quote to a business address,97501. thanks -mike
  4. we put dual blue streak glasspacks on the lifted wagon, sounded cool, and had a neat double backfire while shifting. prolly not the kind of set-up you're thinkin of tho -mike
  5. actually, i was thinkin about leaving it off if it wasn't stock(after paint), but i kinda like the way it looks, so i guess i'm gonna go ahead and keep it. thanks all -mike
  6. i looked at some of the pics of gen 1 cars and the brochures in the old gallery, and i can't seem to find any others with it. anyway, my question is, is the trim on my wagon(rubber bumper style) stock, a dealer add-on, or something someone rivited on later on. -mike
  7. wow thats totally cool! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=1171&sort=1&size=medium&cat=500&page=1 i would love to find a set of those 5 hole wheels, they would look killer on my '74, maybe the fender mirrors too:cool: -mike
  8. oh baby that would be scary fun -mike
  9. how long is a while exactly? that happened to me on my '74, i was filling the rad. and it was taking too long, pulled the dipstick just to see, sure 'nuff, engine full of water. turns out the freeze plugs in the heads popped out while it was sitting, yours may have a bad head gasket. just a thought... -mike
  10. ah, the twelve cylinder... -mike
  11. $75 for an entire gen 1 front crossmember assembly(everything but the engine) with a complimentary drivers seat and some other assorted hardware/ goodies. i think they just wanted to go home:rolleyes: -mike
  12. that is so sweet!! you gonna go to WCSS? -mike
  13. well since we discussed my hood, i think we should make a prototype to show off with:grin: -mike
  14. chevy luv, nissan, datsun, um... couirer -mike
  15. when i talked to bob yesterday(called me at work to say i was the first to know it was running strong) i asked wether or not she would be ready for WCSS, and he said that she is pretty much just a rolling shell with a drivers seat. next step is to pull the motor and get the engine compartment painted, and all cleaned up, then on to body work and such. so, unless they are working like they do on tv:rolleyes: , we won't be seeing it at WCSS. -mike
  16. makes me wonder if that 510 style wagon i found is worth getting after all thanks for a cool article -mike
  17. i would consider it if i could find parts for my '75 -mike

  19. my paint removal grinder just broke in half:mad: guess i'm gonna hafta do it the old fashioned way now:rolleyes: -mike
  20. if you do cut that down, make sure that you leave the little hole for the cotter pin/ nail/ safety retension device that keeps the nut from spinning off if it becomes loose -mike
  21. yeah, i got all those devil cracks, but they come in handy from time to time(holding little screws while doing dash work) some more pics of what i got done before 11:30(had to get something on to help prevent rusting while t-storm lookin sky was brewing overhead) -mike *pics of arm available upon request*
  22. little sedan drives by, someone yells "your cars on fire", alex parks at al's, KA-BANG!!!, crowd drops, well you get the picture(someones seen uncle buck a few too many times) sorry for the irrelevant jabber. the smoke that i saw was not very much, so it seems that you're gettin closer -mike
