Mine is 96, so there's rear wiper from the factory. And I don't know whehter you can use only control stalk. I had to swap the whole column switch since wiper stalk does not just unscrew like on later imprezas, but is soldered to intermittant module circuit board. I had to get the switch from 96-97 LS/LSi/GT wagon. I have no idea if that will also fit 95, you might be able to solder the outback stalk, but you will probably need the intermittant control module as well if you want variable speed option.

Me? No, I'm ok with read drums. Don't see a point in swapping onle rears, and to get some larger front brakes I'll have to get new winter tires and rims.

Nope, 96 was the first year.

For heated mirror you have to get the dash switch, swap the mirror assemblies (or install a heating element), run the wires under dash and splice a couple of connections. I plan to do it soon. Do a search for "subaru factory service manual" and you'll find links to a site with wiring diagrams among other stuff.

I have never seen MY96 with solid lifters. And "Subaru Fast" software I have does not show any solid lifter parts available for MY96 cars, only HLAs.

My 96 brighton is built in 02/96, and it has hydraulic lifters as well. And I think ALL MY96 do. However, there are MY97 assembled as early as 12/95, and those have solid lifters.

Heh, mine is lowered about as much as yours is lifted. I wonder who's gonna have to replace half-shafts first

Mine is a second generation and it does not.

wrx springs will fit but lower the car, and do so unevenly.

#1 Get decent winter tires #2 check your struts If 1&2 do not help - consider installing a switch.

Weather matters for clearcoating part. it should be warm when you apply it and no rain for couple of hours after application. If electric sander is circular - i would not use it.

1. Nice writeup! And nice pics too. 2. On technical note - with that amount of cloudiness I'd start with 800, or even 600 grit. 2. Since you sanded your headlights on the car, I don't see what stopped you from applying clearcoat, all you need is some painter's tape. It would have saved you quite a bit of time also, since you wouldn't have had to make it mirror-like with sandpaper, clearcoat would have nicely filled the scratches left with 1500/2000 grit paper. And it would also stop the yellowing from coming back for quite a while.

So what are your symptoms exactly? I was told once that I might have bad input shaft bearing. Mine sort of wines when I take off from a stop.

I can imagine there being some extra strain on the sedan strut, from having to dampen more weight. So it might not last as long as wagon strut.

Nope, headlights ground literally goes through the switch. I can post a diagram My lenses ar fine, I clean them not so long ago, bulbs are few month old h4 osram +50 I think.

Is this true? I was looking at wiring diagram few days ago, and seems like there's are relays for power going to left and right headlights, but the ground goes all through the steering wheel switch. I'm thinking about trying upgrading the harness, not before I measure the voltage drop on lights though.

you probably wanted to say that _valve cover_ gasket is leaking on the left? Water leaking outside - is headgasket though, and the side seems right .
