  5. you have a on the column dimmer switch right? You gotta pull the steering wheel and replace that switch. sounds like yours is doing the same thing mine does
  6. You only want the spring.. You have to use the old strut and you take the spring out of the hold one and put the Honda Spring on the soob strut... I believe thats what someone said in a post not to long ago... Double check with one of the other memebers just to be sure and I'd only pay 10 or 20 bucks for thes spring
  7. get the ea81 and swap trannys for a manual
  8. my soob, when its cold, the dimmer switch sticks and both lights are on.. I love it too.. I've ran my car like that for aobut 2 hours with both filaments on and they bulbs were fine.. Might work for you, might not.. Lemme know what happens
  9. Well chalk up another massive tow job with the sooby. Brings the total to: 1 1998 F350 Quad Cab (drivers side completely burried over the top of the tires and he was runnin 33" tires) 150 ft 1 1/4 inch tow line.. line got tight at 25 mph, came out first pull 1 2004 3500 Dodge Pickup - burried over the axles in snow (easy pull for my soob) 1 1995 2500 Chevy Extended Cab, Passenger side front tire completly burried.... back passenger snow over the castle nut on the rear axle.. (Took 6 jerks in 4 LO but I got it out) So I want to see a list of the other cars/trucks you guys have pulled out with soob power
  10. I just crawled under the car for as long as I could stand.. -10 F up here this morning Its leaking from the seal on the stub shaft of the tranny.... How hard is it to replace that seal? can it be done from the outside of the car or do I have to drop the tranny and replace the seal throuhg the inside? I guess I shouldnt be dumping the clutch at 5 grand on the snow, every time I shift gears... lol
  11. My GL 5speed man DR tranny is leakin oil somewhere out of the drivers side, above the cv axle.... Anyone had problems with these tranny's leakin?

  17. hey I have a pic of my car that I'd like to try to get into the calander.. I'll have it tonite sometime. just waiting for a friend to email it Is it too late to get in?
  18. Just thought I'd say happy thanksgiving.. This year I'm giving thanks to my Blue Soob and the sticky greeniness.. How bout you guys?
  19. you could have cooked your gaskets, cracked a head, burned your pistons.. EA82s are pretty tough engines.. I overheated mine several times, still runs fine
  20. your most likely blowing oil out of the cam covers.. Mine leaks like a S.O.B. Also pull your skid plate off from under the oil pan, get in there with a 10 mm socket and make sure all of those bolts are tight.. They get lose and it will blow oil out that way too Oil pump is in front of the engine, right behind the elec. Fan on the radiator. Rocker covers = Cam covers.. I can reach all but 2 of the bolts on the covers... the other two, you have to bend those splash guards away from the motor a lil bit, and then you can get to them from under the car
  21. I'm thinking it might be time to change the intake filter on my blower motor for the heater.. Just wondering whree its at on my 86 GL??? - NO A/C btw
  22. lol.. I got bubbles in my oil too this morning.. My outside outlet that I plug my car into died, so my car sat at -5F all night.. When I started it.... Tick tick tick tick tick... for about 3 hours Time to replace those damn seals... Might as well hit the timing belts too if I'm gonna have to rip all that stuff off...
