^^^ The buddy system works best. If not, comealongs and straps are nice to have.
  2. Does it pull to the left when you decelerate? If so, it's a tie rod end or a bearing, or your castle nut on your axle is loose. Wheel hop means you need to balance that tire.
  3. Congrats Dave!!! No more sleep for you for 4 years or more. Beautiful kid. Get a hold of me, I've got some more Soobie active wear for the boy. PM me a mailing address.

Trust me. With the possible exception of the Wall trail, you ain't taking a Subaru up those other trails. Don't sweat it. 35s and lockers and lot's of body damage is what's required. Or at least a baddass winch. These are much harder trails than anything you guys tried at Evans Creek.

Wolf, you'll do fine. We all started somewhere and learned by trial and error. Keep at it. These are good guys, they'll be supportive too.

SUnday's are good for me. I can probably make it.

    Where's your pics Noah?
  9. As of about 2:00 pm, it was going great. I left early to go home, but just about everybody else was staying I think. 10 or so lifted Subarus all together. My camera got forgotten this time, but plenty of other folks had theirs. I took a bunch with my buddy's camera, but will have to wait for a disc of them. I only took my Toyota, the coupe stayed home. Woody's sedan went toe to toe on 520 and matched me by making the whole trail. That's some gnarly stuff too. Corky even made an appearance. Cool bunch of people, not a bad apple in the bunch. Quote of the day? "It was a straight road. . . In his defence." The pics will tell that story.
  10. What time will you guys be passing thru South Seattle? We're trying to leave this area at as close to noon as possible.
  11. How well do those big tires stuff?
  12. I tried to low ball the guy when the add first came out. You got it instead of me. Nice Score.
  13. No (small) kids that I know of. . .
  14. I stretched the cable on my winch today. It's all ready. The coupe is running good, should be ready for the weekend.
  15. I'll give David a call and see if he's still around.
  16. Either way, I flushed it well this morning. Not much crud came out. The tank was changed once before, I know this because it's a 2X with a 4X tank. I'm hoping they just didn't change out the filter. Car is very happy now.

  18. Appreciated, but I have the one in the hatch. I'm just lazy and it's been too hot.
  19. Well. I changed out the rear filter. I think maybe that was the problem. First clue was teh rust pouring out of the old one on the intake side. (out flow was clear) Tried a big hill. HELL YEAH! I'll drain the tank and flush it and change it again.
  20. YOu shouldn't need a snorkel this time of year. There's only two places where water gathers.
  21. I'm still trying to work it. Family will be out of the country during the show though. Still want me to show up? lol
  22. Well, replaced the fuel filter in the engine bay just for shnits and giggles. Wasn't that. Might try the fuel pump that was in the hatch tomorrow at work if it gets slow enough. Aready took the float and sending unit out of the hatch to fix a faulty gage. Cat maybe?
  23. I was {} <---- this close to making it this year. But my good buddy just shot me down, so I won't have him to pal around with. Next year the coupe will hopefully be complete and I won't be able to find an excuse not to make it. Well, unless it's in some remote place like this year.
  24. I put my spare set of mudders on. THe dancing shoes ain't gonna see no kinda terrain that might gouge or otherwise make them ugly. One offs with no way to replace one.
