  1. They shoulda tossed a couple of dummies in the jump seats.
  2. No, not a boomerang. It's the first hatch I ever saw, and it had swampers on it. Made me wanna start doing the same, the rest is history. When Jonas gets tired of it. Condition of selling it to him was that I get first dibs when it comes to selling it.
  3. A shot or 2 of your car, no more. A brief description and mod list. Let's keep conversation out of this thread to keep clutter down. I'll start. 1985 hatch. Custom SJR 4/3 lift. Custom Superlite wheels imported from AU. 215/75/15 BFG MTs. Custom Roo Bar imported from AU. Hella 500s. Custom altered A-bar. 32/36 Weber Carb. 5 speed swap, XT6 clutch kit. Custom driveline.
  4. So it looks like we're gonna find a way to send both hatches to Australia. The new one runs, but looks like the head gasket is fooey. Looks like the RX that was gonna accompany a hatch to AU has been sold out form under the guy in AU. . . 'nother note: I'll be picking up another hatch in a day or two. Yhen I'll be in possession of 4. This one is lifted with a bunch of goodies on it. I'll start a thread when it gets to my house and I can photogragh it. Cool thing is, it's THE hatch that got me into wheeling these cars in the first place. Neat stuff.

    What's it take, 15 minutes to pull a diff? 2 axle pins, a 22, two 17s, and 4 12s.
  6. Those of you who'd like to see it in a different or new spot could do the organizers a big favor by scouting locations and dates available, and getting that info back to them. Finding and securing a venue is the hardest part of organizing the WCSS if you ask me.
  7. That was me. My wife is has classes there. Cool stuff to be spotted. As for trying to license the hatch. . . Once I pull everything off of it, it won't be worth it to try to hassle with get a title for it. And as for trying to ship a bumper cover. . . I need to get off of my rump roast and ship a tranny first. After that, I wouldn't mind. I have a few of them in sweet shape.
  8. Like I said, I'll strip it. Probably even cut out the rockers. With it having no title, it's pretty much doomed.
  9. Too much down travel is gonna break a lot of axles. . . I dig the lifted sedan though.
  10. I now possess 3 ea81 hatches, it's like they grow on trees. This one really is going to Australia. I had to find one to replace the silver one, which I was allowed to keep once I built it and fell in love with it. This one needs a motor, which will come from the other white hatch I have. Then that one, being rust free and all, will get its good parts yanked off and then sent to the crusher. Newest one: The motor donor:
  11. It's been a busy weekend, me and the kids are sick. I'm gonna put together a vid to be uploaded for viewing online. It'll show the actual trails and Soobies in action. Gimme a minute bro, I'll get it done.
  12. YOu better come ready to spend, 10 bucks admission just to window shop is a lot of money. . .
  13. Galen, you asked a question with no real answer. If you can't figure out what to do with a bunch of Soobie nuts camping in the woods for a few days, suggestions as to what to do with your time will be moot. Sorry. Here's a group pic of the guys who planned the last one, and the number of cars we had show up at Ken's house that day. We'll be lucky to get that many total at EC. check out those book ends
  14. Nice to meet you old friend. Raises hand for one of those.
  15. A couple of maps added on post #2, page 1. I found most of my pics from last meet. A few other Soobs at Evans Creek pics. I'll scan and add them in time.
  16. Sure, why not have a show in shine right before we all head home. It's an off road vehicle park we're meeting at. So no. I'm not planning any "activities" to please anybody who doesn't want to wheel and camp and dig on Soobs and that aren't afraid to get a little dirt on them. Go to a car show if you want to be entertained. Otherwise, show up, park your ride, and ride with someone else.
  17. I love my youta very much. Here it is with about a yard and a half or wet top soil. Sags, but hauls it like nothing doing.
  18. The VLSD chunk is a little more compact than the other. This old thread is proof the search button works. Awesome to see folks using it.
  19. I have black with white lettering, yellow with green lettering, and white with yellow/green lettering. Real deal. They're all over the city of Seattle now.
  20. I dig it, and my wife thinks it's ok. There are far worse things when it comes to offensive. You should see the shirt I wore today, it has the Fword on it like 10 times. It says it about the mayor, the city council, starbucks, the governor, clay bennet, Oklahoma, etc. . . A cartoon girl on a soobie logo is like sesame street in comparison. One of the ones I'm getting is going to a chick bartender at a bar I go to. "You won't let your kids listen to this *******, but you take them to the theater to watch Swarzteneger"
