  1. Indeed, one of us can.
  2. I have an XT6 clutch and pressure plate in my 5 speed d/r. It's only mated to an ea81, but I can't get it to slip when I just push the gas and let the clutch do all the work while climbing over something.
  3. I'd love to comeup and hang out and help or just shoot the breeze. . . Stinkin' long distance between us.
  4. ezapar replied to kybishop's topic in Off Road
We combined the off road and trails forums. It was too much of a pain as moderators to keep moving the trails posts into the proper forum. Even the older members just didn't seem to get the difference between the two forums. *see the site help and suggestion forum for Mick's post.
  5. A pic or 2, no more. A brief description. cheers.
  6. 4X swap is all bolt on, 100%, I did it on my coupe. It's not that difficult to do. I'm not sure you'd even have to swap out the tank to fit the diff with a 4 inch lift. But you could always put a jack under the tank and create a dent where needed. lol
  7. What kind of off roading are you talking about. IF it's just rally x, you only need some tires. If you want to actually join into rally, you'll havea whole mess of stuff you have to do to it. The SCCA website should give you some clues.
  8. Welcome to the USMB. More Washington members the better!
  9. And thanks again to Tex and Monica!! :-p at the rest of you.
  10. Yeah, that turned out nice. No hassles, everybody (almost) made it and then some. Good eats, good to drink and play games with you guys in a famliy atmostphere. It's good to see the core group + folks who we got to meet today. Thanks for making it. And thanks to Tex for the install. Thanks for the pics Ken.
  11. You bet Dave, that suit is straight up JDM. (Nao's sister sent it from Japan) Pass it a long to the next. Good looking kid, he's already got racing form.
  12. It'd be good to see you Austin. Should be about 10 years knowing you by now.
  13. West Seattle Exit from I-5, Alki Exit, go right. Follow it till you see the boat launch on your right. We'll be in the parking lot. Proabably a half mile past Salty's Restaraunt, and just past Pegasus Pizza. Here's a map, you may have to zom out a little. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Seattle&state=WA&address=%5B1000-1041%5D+Alki+Ave+SW&zipcode=98116&country=US&latitude=47.595105&longitude=-122.385765&geocode=BLOCK A little internet research will find more details if you need them.
  14. Forcast calls for clouds, no rain.
  15. I've been watching the WRC this year, and it gets boring with only 2 types of cars to watch. Hi def rally is hard to turn away from though. But good for KB. He'll learn as most college bball stars do when they hit the NBA. They may have been men among boys, but become boys among the men. The top WRC drivers have it in their blood, it takes more than just balls to be successful there. He doesn't seem to be a very friendly guy, we'll see how well Europeans accept him.
  16. Holy Cow, the Fly lives!!! Long time no hear/read. Here's one of my favs. Hairy stuff, not posed in a creek.
  17. Mine was only an xt turbo. I took it out with some lifted Soobs, and it went toe to toe with them.
  18. I think you should hold out for a manual. Autos are boring.
  19. That sedan is a beauty. Now convert it to 4X4 and lift it! Then they'll really gather around it to praise it at the meets. Welcome to the USMB, here's my 83 coupe. (converted to 4X4 and lifted)
  20. That front can get a lot shorter if you move the radiator over the engine where the spare tire would sit. I've got an impreza hood scoop you can have to draw air down onto it.
  21. I don't have a problem with noonish. Anybody else?
  22. You can always park at my house and drive my imp. It's kinda fun (ner) now with new struts, lowered, and on the new BFGs. Very sticky.
  23. I can help you with the brakes, I have extra time on my hands these days. I have a garage, I'm in South Seattle.
  24. Not neccessarily old school, not neccessarily new school. Just get a group of USMBers together in a parking lot for a photo shoot and meet and greet. Any time soon, say 2 weekends from now? Sunday the 10th? NOON at Alki at the boat launch. We can retire up the hill to a local pub for frosty beers or root beers. There's decent food and pool and darts. You don't have to be 21 to get in during the day. We can also think about a cruise (yeah, I said cruise) around the Seattle area for some sight seeing. Maybe take the slow way to Golden Gardens? What's up? _________________________________________ Who's in? Zap Yo'J corvette Qman one eye scoobywagon kelsomcgrath 86ruguy Craig jbbvw a few maybes. Ed? ROb?
