axel clearance
A lift is about 350 bucks. If you don't have that money, then you don't have the money for bigger tires and wheels, so you don't need to worry about how to cut your fenders, and you're just wasting time and cyberspace. Please feel free to read the FAQ at the top of the page, it will give you answers to a couple of your questions. A little common sense will tell you how to get more "clearance under your axles" as well.

here's some of my BASIC future plans
How do you plan on doing the lift?

Red Robin Meet and Greet March/April?
I've been under the impression it was in the evening. 5-7 would be perfect. I'm tempted to go find some snow for a few hours during the day.

Great weekend rallycrossing in Oregon
Yep, he was much happier when I showed him how to disable the ABS. I wish I woulda taken a still shot of it, looked pretty friggin cool. Albi is a pretty nice guy, it was good to see him. He had the "first timer" excitement.
- Can we help you?

Great weekend rallycrossing in Oregon
That was a pretty awesome Rally X. I was worried about how many cars were there, but like you said, they kept it well organized, it ran like a well oiled machine. I spent all morning kicking myself for not bringing my M/Ts, but in the end I think it was too sticky and we were better off with Ken's *doctored* rally tires. Ken and I co drove my OBS, his imp isn't ready yet. The little bastard did pretty good, considering it was entered into the Modified class, running against some seriously horse powered cars, full blown rally cars with their drivers ta boot. So Ken and I managed to get an exact tie for 4th place. Not good enough to get any medals, but good enough to get Ken some of those points he was hoping for. All I can say is I wish it had more poop. Here's Ken at the wheel with my wife for balast. We found the car moved a lot better with one of the two of us not in it. lol There were a couple of sweet lifted Soobs there too. Anybody care to take a stab at who this was. Lifted Outback with 29 inch Swampers. (only you who weren't there ) You probably would remember him best by his stunt at WCSS.

90's Gens only!
The Rallitek Baha had the first bumper. I know because I was at John's in Eugene when we designed the prototype. Helped mount it myself.

Some photos from the Reiters run on the 18th (LOTS of 'em too)
And I guess the newest OZIFIED sitckers are too new for any of ya to recognize them. . . Note the drivers side of my front bumper.

Did you any chance see the pic of Rob's hatch going thru the water. He followed me. And the teaser photos don't even show difficulty of the trail we went on when we got seperated from the Soobs. If I had brought my impreza, it woulda been like bringing a pellet gun to a bazooka fight. I had my toy high centered for a second on the way down, notice the clearance I have under the doors. My imp woulda got killed right then and there.

Uh let me think. . . Guess it's cuz I have the TOYOTA. We weren't on just plain old snowy roads or plain old gravel roads. Don't worry, the impreza will get plenty of action this weekend.

Public thanks time.
I back them up from time to time, I have a pile going back years. . . but hadn't for a month or so. It was in my mind to burn a cd the morning I came in to find I couldn't get it to work. . . Could be worse, I coulda got good and mad and smashed the computer like I felt like doing.

You bet. We don't even need a big group. Just about any weekend for a day. Just not these next two weekends. lol We have few requirements, all of which you met. All you need is the sticker. Guess I need to get some more magnets ordered from Tex. My last one finally died.

Public thanks time.
It took several tries to get the cds to load, had to stick it in the cd rom instead of the DVD like the instructions called for. Lost a couple thousand (no really) photos including mass irriplaceable ones of my boy. . . but it's up and running like it was from the factory now.

My computer went on the fritz. (or so I thought) It was actually the monitor, but had me confused for a week or so. I wanna thank good ol' Edrach for taking his time to come by and let me try one of his monitors. Doh! All better. And I wanna thank Tex for calling to vollunteer his and Nomica's help if me and Ed couldn't figure it out. Let's just say I "felt the love" that day bro. EZ

Red Robin Meet and Greet March/April?
Yeah sure, but why not wongleflute's on Holman Road instead? Cheaper/better food, and we can hang in the parking lot by our Soobs. We can maybe talk others from other boards into it. . .

I've yet to see any pics outside of the HP's circle that can beat our group shots when it comes to offroaders. The cravase. And lastly, a couple of teasers from the trail me and B did when we got seperated from the group.

Scott's line was pretty cool too, plenty of pucker factor. Uncoolperson in the house. And the Behemoth just swallows everything.

(computer was down for a few days, couldn't load them up) First, thanks Scott for putting it together, nice to finally meet you in person. Looking forward to the next time, we'll take ya on some real trails. lol You can go to my gallery and look at bigger versions of most of these pics. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=142 Here's a shot of me and Turbone's rigs, not too much difference in size, that's a big rump roast hatch and a little toy. After all that talk about preparing for water crossings leading up to the trip, Rob was the only one to follow my toy thru this hole) This guy had it coming. Pretty stupid to try to mount the stump while Rob was fixing a broken axle. (what's that? 3 or 4 times we've seen sammis roll trying to show off now?) Leading up to the curve of doom. After looking at the pics, looks like I was the only one to take this line. Proper pucker factor. Nomica stomached it quite well. It was me doing all the whining. (+/- 40 degree tilt, on top of a serious drop off)

Reiters Pit March 18 NorthWest Washington Near Monroe
Cool pics! I just wish 2 things: Wish you guys woulda followed me and B down the trail we took when we got seperated. We concur that it was the highlight of the day. Wish my computer wasn't on the fritz so I could post some of the photos I took of us doing that trail. :-\

What's Left To Mod For Offroad?
Subieman, have you ever had or built an off roader? Are you speaking from experience or from what you've read? I can change out/in a rear axle in a lifted ea81 in about 6 minutes or less, including pulling out the hammer and putting it away. He asked. What do you suggest?

Anybody wanna vollunteer to get the muggs/glasses done for the WCSS this year?

Anybody wanna vollunteer to get the muggs/glasses done for the WCSS this year?
I don't have time. Can you be responsible for getting the orders taken, mugs made, bringing them to me or Ken or to the WCSS, can ya handle a dead line, can I count on you? Screened or etched, what'cha got, what'cha know? We could sure use the help.
