  1. So what's up? Are there no more Soob wheelers in NW WA anymore? Is the date Scott picked a bad one? Why no responses?
  2. No, it's a jeep. Same hole though. Took almost an hour and we broke a come-a-long trying to get him out. Then I made him get in while I drove back in and out of the hole in the Toy.

Sliding and bashing are different. But he's right. Adding a "slider" or nerf bars takes away precious clearance. Once you're mashed in your rockers, you've created more clearance for the next time.
  4. Sounds good to me. I went up there today and found a pretty sweet trail. Billy goat stuff.
  5. If me and Qman are there, there will be beer.
  6. We put two bran new ones next to eachother once, they were virtualy the same size. We really couldn't tell which one was taller. If you've got the $, get the radials and not the bias ply. They're worlds different on the road. The bias ply ones get flat spots every night so the car goes bumpety bump for the first few miles every day. You get to re-learn how to drive your car on the road. They "walk" while cornering, so you have to prepare for extra wide turns. The biggest arguement though is the offroad differences. The wider tire can be deflated more without blowing beads. Ken blew both fronts with the bias plys once. The bias ply can't be beat in the mud, but lose to the radials everywhere else. Especially snow.
  7. Wanna know what TSL means?
  8. Sharp. Very Sharp. I love the Hard Body wheels. Got the center caps? How does it do on the freeway? I got this feeling you're gonna be looking for somewhat smaller tires if you're running the stock drivetrain. You are right, or did I miss that thread. . . ? :-\ Turning radius is the shnit. It's one of the very few things I miss about Subarus while driving my Toy.
  9. Cool, see you then. I'll be out back probably.
  10. If no interest for RR, you guys can stop by here at 7. Swap parts, shoot the shnit. Hell, I'll let you two drive the Toy if ya want. lol Noah can drive my imp to make himself want a perfect power.
  11. Ok, Sunday at Tex's. RR tonight still? You guys all 21 yet?
  12. Wednesday is better for me too. But feel free to drop in and see me if you want, I'll be home.
  13. They showed up in the mail today. All you guys who are any kinda local can drop by and pick one up if you have a lifted Soob. I'll give the leftovers to anybody else if you just wanna sport them on your Soob.

So riddle me this. What's a good 27-29 inch mudder that will fit a 16 inch wheel?
  15. I think I'm about 8 steps ahead of you.
  16. Sometimes there's no pleasing people. . . Mug was too big, the pint glass wasn't a mug. . .
  17. Oh uh, that's the keeper all right. But the lettering needs to be more blue if you know what I mean. Subaru Blueish. And the tags just a little bigger. But beautiful clean up Tex. No more fuzzy.
  18. Those forester wheels looks sharp Andy. I like to call it "impreza torture? Especially with a 20mm rear sway. lol
  19. When I first did the swap, I used my original springs and tops with the OB struts. Once I got a hold of some OB springs, I had to use the OB tops.
  20. I haven't asked Garner if he'd do it again, but another guy has offered to make them. There's plenty of time for them.
  21. Totally UNCOOL I dig the fact that it's finally in motion Scott.
  22. I'll be good and locked by then. Did you know Reiters has a trail called "Beat Your Sh** "? Yeah. *and I'm moving this to Meet and Greet
  23. That's not the stock size. 205/70/15 or the later ones have 225/60/16. Same as the Outback. It's not that they touch on the side of the strut, but the spring perches. Height is the concern. Wheel offset can pull them away from the strut side.
