Me too. You've watched me progress over the years, each time a little bit toward the newer and newer side. I've pretty much always had three of something. It's always sell something to buy something. This newest OBS is the 29th? Soob in 6-7 years or so. You know me. I wish I had $ to throw around on a new STI and the goodies to offroad it. Ross's rig was one of the coolest Soobie offroaders I've ever seen. If you can model after that, you're on the right track.
  2. Hey Jibs. If you'll pm me your snail mail addy I'll drop a couple in an envelope and send them off to you. I have a whole bunch. It wouldn't be a problem.
  3. ezapar replied to thesubarukid's topic in Off Road
    wait wait! now it's done.
  4. ezapar replied to thesubarukid's topic in Off Road
This was my reply to your first PM.

I'll show ya what sort of things crybabies say. Can ya guess who said that? Crybabies send multiple PMs crying about being told to try the search button. Crybabies complain if their post which belongs in a different forum gets moved there. Even if it's for a good cause. Crybabies say things like "If I want to be treated like I'm in High School, I'll go back to High School." I'm not crying, I just don't want anymore scalding PMs from you. So I let you know I'm not gonna remove your post. You probably did it on purpose so you could make sure everybody knows you need something.

I noticed you posted this twice, but I won't dare delete one of them, I don't want any more angry pms from you. I already got the same pm twice from you today. . . From both of your usernames.
  7. I forgive you Tex. Ken said that at first resisting legacy's. Ed too. Then it was Ken headstrong believing dumping $ into the XT6 would make it competitive. Till he went heads up against it with the stock impreza L that beat it. And lately the big 4X brat. . . (you guys are gonna hate me over that one) Good for you Tex. I know once the wagon is running, you'll be good and happy. (wink) My argument against RXs will always be the same one. If Subaru thought they were such great cars, they'd still rally them.
  8. ezapar replied to Numbchux's topic in Off Road
Good for you Chux. It's a good feeling to wheel with good people. The Hatch Patrol tends to be the oposite. A bunch of Soobs and one other rig.

Here's your last rendition. put up or . . .
  10. Good to hear from ya PK. I spent two weeks living on the base at Camp P. I had long hair that was bleached white at the time. lol Some of the best drinkin' fun I ever had!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt
  11. Corky, quit picking things apart. It's just an error, probably caused by me switching which car I would drive after the OBS had aready been entered into the computer for TO. This is not the first time, no big deal. We know what really happened. And from what people say, the second half of the day was a much faster track cuz the 90 degree turns were opened up. Looks like I had a pretty screamin' time. Back to back 1:04s.
  12. I wish I could take my TO score. . . Just about fastest for the day. Pretty cool to see 1-4 separated by 4 seconds or less. I let my buddy Steve drive my OBS in the a.m. I told him to take it easy and not beat up my car. Even still, he managed to not get the bottom score.
  13. My son has turned 24. Damn I feel old! LOL Happy B-day Tex.

Depends on the lift kit. The U.S. version of the BYB kit uses 1 inch shorter blocks at the crossmember. This makes the angle of the driveline and exaust dramatically different. Tucks it up much better than without the differnt size blocks. But you're right, the most important thing in my book is the Y-pipe. There's just no getting it up higher without bigger tires, or a lift big enough to fit a transfer case.
  15. I found it. . . It's after the paypal option, once you get to Noah's place. Ordered my 2. I'll call you with "special instructions" Noah.
  16. I've got some clearance. 11.5 at the rear diff, 9.5 at the y-pipes. You guys had better get some proper off road tires if you plan to "one-up" me. Those ATs aren't gonna get it done. If things go right, it will be 2 inches or so taller for WCSS8. Never mind "How?" :-p As far as bumpers go, you can count on mine probably never getting a gnarly off road bumper. I just don't see the point. My little imp will never be up to the trails that require them. . . In stead of gloss black, try rust o leum satin black. Very cool, not quite flat, not quite gloss.
  17. My car loves mud! I'm psyched to see how mine and Ken's cars do against eachother in the muddy conditions.
  18. NOTE. This is not an ordering thread, Richie will take care of that on his time.
  19. (or hey everybody, check out the WCSS8 tshirt artwork!) Not bad eh? Or actually pretty friggin' cool! They look even better in person. Thanks. See ya tomorow. Oh. And thank you too PK for the design, where ever you are. . . You've got one owed to you. And thanks Tex for the Artwork!
  20. I think you need to get off the internet and get out the yellow pages. Still can't beat them. Call 3 or 4 shops, get quotes. . . It's not that hard. I'll be picking up the t-shirts today. I got to see them, and uh. . . WOW!! very cool stuff.
  21. She hasn't driven it yet. Everything's new(ish) on it. Full 60k, and it's only got 84k. She would be the third owner, second bought it from Carter used in 98. I told her we can take the seats out of her car and swap them into the new one so it'll feel the same. Weee bit of a rough idle, but I'll iron it out.
  22. More lift. The fuel gage was on absolute "E" when I took that. With a full tank and gear and dogs, it sits nice. Hood's not popped, the front left is just a little banged up from before I bought it. . . Anyways, here's your full body shot. lol
  23. I'll tell ya how much. 96 Legacy Outback struts/springs plus 225/55/17s add about 5.5 inches in the rear, 3 in the front.
  24. WRX sways bolt right on Craig. I've put 20s on both of ours. It looks like there's a 17 mm on there right now. It's a huge difference when you upgrade to the 20. I've tried the 13, 17, and 20 on my wagon. More rump roast happy the better for rally x.
  25. Good luck, keep it on 2 wheels. lol
