  1. I hope you didn't break the one I just put in!!!!!!
  2. I popped my passenger side mirror off and Hatchy caught it(he was riding shotgun) as I maneuvered over some tire ruts and got a little too close to a tree, denting both passenger doors real good (that happened like 5 years ago). I broke a turn signal lense pushing a Chevy Blazer that stalled and had to push start it, but a hole caused my car to dip and crunch (I told the morons that it was gonna happen, and when it did they just stood there like morons). Most recently, ripped off both rear mudflaps going up a tight trail at Reiter pit, tighter than the car is wide, dented both front doors, pass. worse, and it's the same door I popped the mirror. I gotta go buy a can of primer for my spare door and put it on cuz the pass. window won't roll up right anymore.
  3. Broke again. Now I have to replace the replacement:mad: !!
  4. I like PB Blaster, but used to have some stuff called Aerokroil. I think they're similar, same color and fragrance.
  5. Some dude in Seattle is selling an '84 Brat for 1k. Gonna check it out. Hope it's in good shape.
  6. I replaced Hatchy's axle before we left, he already broke it:-\ . He got a pix of a creek we drove through.

    Reiter pit

Me and Hatchy are heading up there now:headbang: !!
  8. Exactly like those, General Disorder.
  9. Theyre exactly like the ones General Disorder has in an old thread from '03.
  10. I went to Lynnwood PAP and found two supposedly AM wheels on a wagon. Looks like a trailer wheel.
  11. If the opening is facing down, the water deflecting off the windshield would be splashed into the opening? I've done quite a bit of deep water driving, but I have the stock air cleaner, haven't made my snorkel yet, nor sucked water either for some strange reason. This dude i went 4By'n with in a GMC truck kept sucking mass water in his motor and he had more clearance than me and I drove through the same stuff he did and I stayed bone dry!!?? I bet he never expected my rig to outperform his!!
  12. I just swapped a dual range 3.90:1 in my '80 wagon with an EA71 from the origional(sp?) single range 4.11:1. I still haven't replaced my broken speedo cable for a few years, so I don't know how fast I'm going in whichever gear or range. But low range hauls a$$ uphill in third.
  13. Is there really that many bulbs? Mine only seems to have about half duz. And only half of them work.
  14. My bro in San Diego has an EJ powered sandrail.
  15. I hate it when people put Chevy motors in non Chevy vehicles like Ford T- Buckets, Jaguars, Datsun Z, Jeep, etc. But I do like Chevy V-8.
  16. I've crawled and rallied my '80 wagon. Depends on what I'm driving through. Hatchy rallied his bone stock '86 hatch(45 sideways is FUN!!!), and tore up a 'crawl' hill. Bashed the control arm. Old school Subarus are built to drive like hell:headbang: but things will break. And things get fixed or replaced to break more things.
  17. Not an EA82, but at PAP I saw the bottom of an ea81 blown out. Scary.
  18. I got one going up to about 35 before it hit the curb, and cartwheeled it (no pun intended).
  19. If you spray your coolant out yer tailpipe, and have oil in yer radiator, ya blew a gasket of thy head. Done a few of those.
  20. I have owned my '80 1600 GL wagon(origionally single range 4 spd, swapped to dual range with JDM EA81 type bellhousing that came with low mileage import EA71) since like '98 or something. I have gone through sooooooooooooo many axles caused by a measly little tear in a boot (and heavy right foot, extreme suspension extensions, camber, etc. (FUN)), that ummmmm..... if I break it, I can fix it and break it again!!!!! SUBARU!! NO SUBSTITUTE
  21. That's a sweet new school rig. Needs more rubber from my view. Roof lights would be wicked.

    WEBER help

Yo Hatchy!!!! Let's put yer brand new WEBER on yer rig and crush tha Baja Bug!!!!
  23. I, as an old school Subaru owner, braffer, resurrector, have gone through a fair amount of wheel bearings(among other things, more than once), know how the play of a worn out bearing can be (freeway!!!! ).
  24. I'm setting up some lights for my rig. I'm gonna have four roof lights, two are chrome Hella or Daylighters(not sure which brand), and two Rallys. A third Rally will be in place of the third eye. They all will have 130 watt xenon bulbs. I also plan to get a pair of 55 watt projector lights for side lighting. I'm gonna put some 55 watt driving lights in the bumper when I find some channel iron or steel (stock bumper sucks!!!!). I have one slim oval light I want to put under the hitch plate of the rear bumper (cool heavy duty AM or homemade that came with the car when I bought it) for a backup light or for a$$#*!e cops that tailgate me with THEIR highbeams on(WTF!!??). I can already smell the electricity burning:grin: .
  25. I remember a long time ago in Shoreline WA at a grocery store by Sears, there was this giant shopping cart that could be driven and it had a Subaru engine. Don't know what kind, but it was fuel injected, coupled to an auto. Anybody ever see it?
