  1. Thanks for the Warm Welcome!!! This Thread is Five years Old! ... Nice!!! Let me Tell you that I Like Too Much the USMB, here we got Great Friendship, I can Obtain and Give Help, Knowledege to Share, and Lots of Subarus! Who could wish Anything Else?
  2. Well... I Hope it was going Slowly when it Fell on that Huge Crater, but Sadly, we have Many Craters on our Roads. I don`t Know why -and How- Many Hondurans buy Porsches, Masserattis, BMWs, and a whole lot of Too Expensive Cars, even if we Don`t have a Decent road to Run `em... We have Roads, but they demand to be Very Careful to Drive. For Example: Look this Brand New Masseratti, Parked side my Subie...
  3. Yes, I read about it on "Popular Mechanics" Magazine; I Believe that can be Better Idea to Run a Subie on LPG Gas Setup, but it can be Dangerous if the Car gets into an Accident.
  4. Have you Checked the Timing? ... That Behaviour was done once in my White Wagon, due to Timing; I just Adjusted it More Advanced, doing the "Drive Test" ... Adjusting it and Driving, then Adjusting and Driving, Untill it Reaches the Optimum Performance. I have mine at 25º. Also it can be a Clogged Fuel Filter / Air Filter, Electrical Failure and Vacuum Leakage. I Suggest to Verify all those Parts. Good Luck!
  5. ...Well... ................................. and it is Still "La Foto" or "La Fotografía" and "El Carro" ... So: ¿Que Piensas de (What do you Think about) El Carro (The Car) en La Foto? (in the Photo?)
  6. You got to be careful with those Rust Bubbles... Your Subie Looks Great! it seems to be in a Very Nice Condition, that coupe is one of my Favourite Subaru Models Ever. Excuse me: What is the Meaning of "I am actually looking forward to the yellow tetinus carrier to be GONE!!!"???
  7. Well... "Fotografía", the Spanish word for "Photograph", (used abreviated as "Foto", just like "Photo" in English) in Spanish both are "Female" Words; so it is "La Foto del Día" (= "Today`s Photo") for that Newspaper`s Section. The article "EL" is for "Male" spanish Words, like Car in Spanish: "El Carro" (= "the Car") (I Know that in English, Car is a Female Word) and the Article "LA" is for "Female" spanish Words. Absolutely!
  8. Nice Job, Great Finish! Yes, it`s True, I Like the Way your Subie Looks, Really. Is a Very Nice Coupe! For the faded Paint, if it is not Completely faded, you can do a Polishment, to improve its look: using White Rubbing Compound and a Special Soft Polisher, doing slow Circles to avoid "Burn" the Paint -it means: Leave Polisher Marks- and it can look Soo good, almost like new, just more whiter than it originally was... if there Aren`t scratches or hits; and if after polishment results are Good enough, you can cover all the Paint with Clear coat, and polish it too. You won`t Believe the Results. But that only Works on Painted Surfaces that are uniformly faded.
  9. I`ve used some Brands on Both my Subies since long time Ago, but the Very Better ones I`ve Purchased, are the "MONROE" Brand (Made in England) Gas Pressurised ones for the 4WD Loyale Models, but I use `em on mines, that are just 2WD with Great Performance and long Lastings. I hope this can Help!
  10. Well... After some Searchin` I`ve Found it! Yes, the Daytime Picture of that Huge Pothole, Taken with a Cellphone`s Camera, but is Enough to bring you the Right Idea of the Road`s Situation: I`ve Found not Only the newspaper where that Pic & Info Appeared... (this is a Photo, Taken of that Newspaper`s page, placed on the Floor. Here all Newspaper are "Tabloid" Size): ...I`ve Found the Direct Link to the Digital Version of that Newspaper: http://www.heraldohn.com/photopost/verfoto.php?photo=11490&cat=519 ...and Yes, I live in a "Crazy" Developing Country... :-\ ...that is not the news or Images that makes anyone proud; I just wanted to Share some of my Drivin` Experiences... Well...
  11. No, it Wasn`t a Construction site, it was a Road`s Pothole; The Road where it Happened is -Still- Under Reconstruction. During a Huge RainStorm, the under Road Drain flow Systems sometimes Break and Fail, so the Water open those Holes under the Old Roads. Yes, They`re There `cos the People that was inside the Car, Called Emergency Phone, and the Road`s Reconstructing men, went there to Help... Then the Newspaper`s Reporter took the Photo. You Won`t see Traffic Signals `cos Road was on Reconstruction; Remember: it is a Developing Country :-\ I was searchin` on Internet for that pothole, I didn`t found it Yet...
  12. Some time Ago, I Found an Old Newspaper that Got a Picture of That Enormous "Instant Pothole" I`ve Mentioned ... and a SUV Literally "Swallowed" by it! A Picture Worth Thousand Words: Unlike that SUV, I was Driving in the Other Way (Coming, instead of Going) We, the Hondurans, Ussually Refer to our Country as "The Alice Country" ... Because here, Everyday Happens Unvelibable Crazy "Wonders" ( :-\ )
  13. Not Aviation, but Maritime use: Subaru EA82 on Hovercraft! ... Did you Know? See: http://www.hovercraft.com/builders/19P_Projects.html
  14. Yes, it might be, or Balljoint... I`m not Sure about the Right Translation, but I think you got the Idea.
  15. Well... The "Dissaperaring Grease" Problem can be due to a Loosen Rubber Boot`s Clamps, and Also I want to Suggest you to Use a Special Grease for Constant Velocity Joints, that is made of Graphite. I Use This: Good Luck!
  16. I believe that your Subie got a Worn Part that is Not the Bearings... I Believe it is the Part that goes between the Link and the Wheel / Brakes Assembly, but I don`t know the English Translation for its Spanish Name: "Rótula" :-\ Might be some sort of "Rod" I Think... Do you Understand what Part I`m Writing about?
  17. I Really Prefer a Newer Loyale Wagon, but an Earlier Legacy Wagon will be Just Fine.
  18. Nice "Wedding Subie" I Like it! Thanx for Sharing your Photos.
  19. Now, it is Already Repaired! I went to my Parents` Home, and Dissasembled the Starter itself... it had Worn the Carbon contacts & the Cooper -Brass- Contacts (I Don`t Know the Right Translation for those Parts, but I Hope You`ll Understand) and it was too Dry... I re-Greased it, Changed the Worn Parts, and then; the Starter Switch was Bad Too... It Had Broken the Release Spring Inside... so the Key kept in Start Position :-\ ... I Changed the Starter too, and Now Everythin` seems to be Fine with my Subie!!! -for Now!- I`ll Post Pics of that, soon... (as Soon as I could find my Camera)
  20. I`ve Noticed that 2WD Struts have the Coil Spring`s Base placed around 2" Lower than 4WD Struts... I`ve done Strut Changes many, Many Times... our Country`s Roads are Very Bad... So I Suggest: Compare or do a Measurement First. Good Luck!
