  1. I think if you talk to User "emernepal" he might be able to help you. You also sound like you might have alot in common. Just do a search for him by user or in the search link above.
  2. This reminds me of a time when I was in a British hospital babysitting some prisoners that had their legs blown off by a carpet bomb. I was talking to one of the brits about foot ball and he was talking about how his sport was the real man’s sport. I told him that if most of the football players where turned around and had long hair wigs put on their heads that you would not be able to tell if they were women from behind . With that being said and totally OT I don’t really follow any sports but I used to love the fact that game night would keep all of the members out of the commercial gyms I used to go to. Yep used to love sports:drunk:
  3. I am in for a day as long as work does not bend me over. We have lots of B level maitnace roads around me and I am only 2 hours away from DM Plus I have enough land to park all of the subbies!!

  5. I am going to be using the instructions on this page to fix my brat http://subarubrat.com/wheelwell.htm My question is what do most of you guys use to cut away all of the rust. I was thinking a grinder/cutting wheel and wire brush with a baking powder sand blaster.. What do you think?
  6. I thought every one buys there motors from other board members. I dont think I would pay 300-350 for the motor.

  8. Inspection is not an issue where I live but thanks for the compliment.
  9. I have the means to cut one open and gut it and weld it closed.. (I own a mig welder and a cutting wheel) Is this the best way to do it??
  10. I have a spare rad. with fan. Was given to me when I bought the brat. I have yet to check to see if it holds water as of yet but the fan should be good I am guessing It for a ea81

  13. I know..I know this is an old thread but I am in the process of getting my ea82 5spd wagon up and running and I need to put in new joints. 16. It is not the wheel berrings but.... You might as well take it all apart and replace them. As you do this you wil be taking apart pretty much every thing that you need to get to any ways. At least I did the first time I did mine. Now I dont need to take it apart so much. I used the HTKYSA to do it. Enjoy.

  20. Well work just stuck me in the poopper. I am wating to see if I can come down just on Sunday. I will know by tommarow.
  21. Ok.. so I finally got a chance to use my mig and I got to say it as Borat would… niiiiice. I had a lot of fun playing around with the voltage and wire feed rate to see what worked best for the metal I was working on. It was also nice to see how the bead changed due to adjusting these two variants. I took all the welds I made and put them in a vice and started to beat them profusely with a hammer to see if they would hold. To my surprise even my crap welds brought on by inexperience seem to make the cut and held there bond. I did not have any gas to try it with the non flux core wire but I feel pretty sure that there welds would be as least as good if not better. Also one more thing, whoever said that using Pam cooking spray as a anti splatter for your tips was a smart man. I am more than ¾ of the way through on my 10lb real of flux core wire and my welding tip looks just as clean after I wipe it as it did brand new. I had a lot of fun with this tool which you will see is pretty much indicative of the reviews on northern tool web site. I would highly recommend this to any one as their first mig welder and I would buy it again. I have a few projects on my list that I will hopefully soon start after I get my root cellar in and purchase some metal to work with, because we all need something else to spend our money on.

Heck.. I would let you be friends with my sister!! OH.. by the way I did not have a bad day. I dont need an excuse for my behavior.
