  1. i don`t think that would be much of a sleeper, more like something screaming "race me, race me"
  2. ok, i see how it is:lol:
  3. oh yea, i`m diggin the custom plate:brow:
  4. boy that is one clean sube:brow: wish it was still in my driveway:banghead: lol looking forward to the progress on it, it should be pretty sweet when its all done, i need to get me another compression tester, i really didn`t notice the low compression driving it the little that i did. -Jon
  5. c`mon man, don`t skimp on the pics:brow:
  6. i`m thinking a 78 brat, with rust, a topper and wagon wheels. running an 2.0 twin turbo 6 speed jdm motor, rear wheel drive with an lsd, nos, front e-brake for ultimate burnouts, and a very amplified blow off valve, for gassing the car up next to you at stop lights:D could you imagine holding your own with a beat up old brat agianst a vette
  7. nope, you can sleep laying down, i have seen one in real life. this way, you can have all of your gear in the car, while you sleep comfortably on the roof, i still want one, it would be cool to make a ladder type rack for the back of a brat and mount it on top:D
  8. i wish i could say it was mine, but no:banghead: there are some pics around of the inside, and they actually look pretty roomy, i might try and make one for my brat project:brow:
  9. nah, i`ve pretty much passed it up now, just was worried if i ever had to unload it that i wouldn`t get my $$ back out of it.
  10. looking forward to the pics also:brow:
  11. i`m in for any meet that you guys want to do, it would ne cool to see all of Mary's soobs
  12. looks great! it would be cool to drive it as-is, just shorten the drive shaft and put in some tube doors, and it would still be ultimate in my eyes:lol:
  13. as i said, its all up to you, i don`t care what you do, just was tryin to help out. actually, if i would have bought that ff1 it would have been paid for and picked up by the shippers already:-\ i`m done
  14. i guess:rolleyes: but the average guy can care less about these old cars, only the true enthusiasts would recognize their true potencial, i always ship my cars, even the 78 brat w/o insurance, and it never got bothered, plus, if the paint is scratched anyway, and there already is a few dents;) why pay the extra $200+, but thats just my opinion, i like going the cheapest route and saving a buck or two. i guess if you have the money/time to spare, why not take the ride. good luck anyway:drunk:
  15. i see what you are saying, i suppose a body lift on the front would be okay also, just to level it out some. hockey pucks seem like a pretty good idea, the solid rubber type, then again, if the give out at all on top of the struts, the bolts might loosen. where could i buy some solid 1-2 inch aluminum? is it easy to cut it with the usual tools? (sawsall, jig saw, grinder, etc?)
  16. the new rav's look like a dog, for that, you might as well buy a 4 runner or awd sienna. i liked the 2001-2005 body style the best
  17. its been 3 years since i have even seen an xt6 alternator, what is involved in the swap to put one on an ea81? are the brackets the same? is there any special wiring needed off of the xt6? any help is appreciated.
  18. sorry but 2WD AUTO YUCK!!! what a dog:lol: the body is hot though:brow: an ea81 4wd conversion is in order:cool:
  19. 1985-1989 Gl`s were available with 5sp mt d/r 4wd 1990-94 loyales had 5sp single range pushbutton 1990-94 legacies had a "bulletproof" ej22 with 5 speed full time or push button, non interference engine a 5 speed d/r can be adapted into your wagon, you won`t notice much of a power increase with an ea82. ej22`s had nice power but no low range.
  20. nah, go for it Paul, unless its pre 74, i want 4wd
  21. i almost think for this haul he might be better off with an independent shipper with a 3 car trailer, have him pick up the FF1 in Oregon, then go over to ID and pick up the 75, i bet you could find someone willing to do both cars door to door for $1750-2000, and the independent shippers almost always have insurance. for an independent shipper, go on ebay and type in things like "Auto transport, car hauling, car transport, auto shippers, etc" and just make an email with all the car info and location info and copy and paste the same message for all the shippers it really just depends how much time you guys want to put into finding the best price, it just takes time
  22. door to door is $1200, for 2 cars, he *might* get a discount
