  1. good deal, it looks great:brow: i always thought maaco did a decent job for the money, for 5 yr old paint, it held up pretty darn well.so what are your plans for her?good luck with it, Jon
  2. its a dealership in WA, can`t read the name on the plate tho
  3. it doesn`t look that bad to me, but i am used to seeing the northeast's POS rust buckets.i wish you were a little closer, i`d buy the whole thing and restore it, just because they are so hard to find.
  4. definatly go for it.if you don`t, let me know, i might.thats a rare unit.
  5. believe me, i put some long hours into it, for days that i was on vacation, looking to go on a road trip and pick one up.about 3 of them were actually on craigslist.i`ll keep you posted, Jon in NY
  6. Hey BigSerg, would you consider selling the wagon?just asking for subieguy:) subieguy, its a shame this wasn`t about a month ago (if you were looking for a gen 1)before i found my brat.i had about 10 gen 1 wagons scoped out on the west side, mostly around $4-600.i`ll keep a look out for ya, but if i find one on the east side, i will have to buy it.
  7. what is this a jeep forum???nice sube though, i`d be glad to have it over a jeep that gets 15 mpg:lol: but thats just me.i also bet the sube would handle circles around a jeep, and probly has a higher top end speed.plus its a whole lot better looking:brow:
  8. do the above, if it doesn`t go out easilly, come down like a pile of bricks on it.my subes always do that when in 4wd on dry pavement.
  9. i think its awesome.any mods?looks like an RX sedan, but carbed
  10. go for it subieguy!!worse comes to worse, rip the door open, pound it out as good as possible, and bondo the rest:lol: let us know your decision. Jon
  11. with that low of miles, its absolutly fine just to buy one tire.$130 is pretty pricy, but if you want oem, its gonna cost alot.is that from a sube dealer, or a tire shop?i bet sams club would have a cheaper one.
  12. Glad to see a fellow NYer.good luck in your search, and i`ll keep a look out for ya.take care, Jon
  13. retards:lol: but seriously, these don`t even look remotly like a v or inline 4:confused:
  14. he told me it has very little to no rust.if you fix the door, it`d be a pretty neat ride.he didn`t say if it ran or not....
  15. i guess the guy was wrong, it is a 78 as i originally thought.here are the pics he sent.if you are in the L.A. area, you can`t beat this, i REALLY wish i was closer, but shipping is just to much for me right now.if you would like the guys contact info, pm or email me.damn the west coast:lol: nice alloys too:brow: whoever gets it must promise to post better pics so i can see what i missed.
  16. nice hatch: http://usmb.net/gallery/album124/resized18Aug10057 http://usmb.net/gallery/Jays-pics/DCAM5955_Small
  17. i dig the avatar soobmater:brow: i`m thinkin about changen mine back too.
  18. what about one of those universal ign switches?it only took me 5 mins to put one in, and it came with 2 keys.the kits are only like $15-20 on ebay or a hardware store.the switch also has 4 positions.battery/off/ignition/start worked like a charm, and its a little more secure and easier than switches.
  19. lookin good.glad to see progress, and i bet your glad you kept it:) i say, put on a set of alloys w/new tires, a weber, hi-flo exhaust, and drive it.i bet it`d be a screamer:grin: also maybe a 5sp swap
  20. i like the 3 wheel and floating action, very cool:slobber: wish i had a spot like that:brow:
