gl-10 was like the top of the line model.lazy boy interior, all power options and a/c standard.i think they also had better awd options or standard equipment, again basically the same.also turbos were all gl-10 i believe.

not a whole lot of difference.just the headlights, trim, and a DL`s interior isn`t as plush as a GL.what year is it?

that would be awesome, just something easy like a ea81 with a weber and glasspacks, or an ea82t.

how much cutting was needed?how hard was the wiring?could most of the harness be eliminated?

do they click when turning, or all the time?if they only click when turning, you should be fine for a while.if one breaks, you can use RWD to get home.

yes, your`s sounds like a gen 1 brat.if it has the 1800 with dual range that would make it an 80 or 81 GL.it could also have a ea71 (1600) with single range 4wd (most common) the engine # is printed on the front of the block i believe. if its an 1800, cruising at 70mph is no problem, you could go faster, but its kind of pushing it, for a 1600, 65-70mph is also fine. put a weber carb on it, and make it a screamer (as people tell me).take care, Jon ps. please post pix, i would like to see it.

yeah, these are great mpg rigs.i had one as my second sube, it wasn`t even a dl, just a standard fwd hatch with no options.it was actually pretty zippy, and i got up to 37mpg!i really liked that car, it had skinny little tires on it too.i then sold it to a friend who cut it into a mini brat with a saws all and used it for house renovations, then it went to the junkyard, where i ended up pulling the motor for another project.

$1200-1500 is about right, although it has low miles, and is mint, these just don`t bring that much, and there wouldn`t be much of a demand on it, unless it was someone into subarus

if you think you might be able to do something like this, i would give you a pretty nice fee (say like $200), but the car would have to be reasonably cheap (under $475), let me know,i don`t want to commit to doing this right now, just throwing some numbers out, but if your interested, pm me.i hate to see it go to waste
