  5. don`t hate the poor brat.although, i am pretty amazed all the repairs you have had to do on it, never have seen one that had so many repairs:) sooner or later, it will become reliable again, but if you ever decide you really hate it, there is a nice home for it in NY:brow: just kidding, i know you`d never sell it.if you want a parts truck, or possibly a replacement, subafreak has his 79 up for $500.hows progress on your 86? Jon
  6. OK, nuff said sorry for the hi-jack whitwolf, but welcome to the board.
  7. dang, just some friendly advice, but if you want to do more work, thats ok.
  8. just an idea has anyone taken a cap like this: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/mags-acc/acc-gen1/campertop.jpg and cut it into a roof spoiler like this with a saws-all: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/mags-acc/acc-gen1/roofspoiler.jpg i think it would be easy and look pretty cool.plus there isn`t much demand for these caps and the spoiler would sharpen it up.
  9. my fuel pump has always clicked and is sort of noisy.i bet its something with the float bowl.
  10. did you even get an OB yet? i could hook you up with a nice running brat:brow:
  11. go with a ej22 instead.its a more reliable engine, plus better gas milage, and an easier swap.FYI subaru didn`t make a v6. contact tailgatewagon for details on the ej22 swap
  12. PICS, PICS:) can`t wait to see them, been wanting to lift my brat.
  13. he is out of his mind, been selling it for like 5 years.i think he bought about 9 nos 360s out of a barn and they were missing the tops and carbs, so he put the awesome paint job, a canvas top, and a few engine mods on all of them.
  14. Oh Man, that thing is absolutly beautiful!of all the times for this to come up.i am about $1000 to short right now and that is without transport costs.
  15. just use the email contact form in his profile just found this post from him, gives an idea on what he may want for the car, probly will be less. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=239535&postcount=14
  16. i say go with a weber.there is a used one in the marketplace for $200 that sounds nice.stock isn`t bad when they are rebuilt, but a weber will give you an extra kick.
  17. AWESOME once again! thats one of the most rugged imps i`ve ever seen, i think zap or someone has a simular setup.looking forward to seeing yours lifted.
  18. looks like something you`d see in a Mad Max movie chasing Mel Gibson
  19. yep, crank start and all.its a rust free California truck:burnout:
  20. ok, ok:lol: don`t mind me now i just have to find that dealer, and see how much they`d sell it for:brow: i wonder if its nos or just restored?
  21. might be trading the 360 van for a running/driving one of these: what do you guys think i should do?
  22. are those carbed ea82?i never owned one, but hear they handle well.if you don`t buy alloys, at least pop the hubcaps off and repaint them with wheel spray paint, it will brighten up the look of the car.that would sound nice with a bigger exhaust and a glasspack:brow:
