  3. i am real glad you posted this.a guy down the road from me just parted a crx, and asked if i needed anything.the seats were beautiful! thats where i`m headed in the mornin because these impreza seats are bein a pain.
  4. it is an oil/gas additive that really works to free up sticky lifters, and sludge in your engine.it even adds a little more power.it is not available in some states, but ask your local parts store if they have it.i may be able to locate you some.take care, Jon
  5. where are you located?i might know someone interested in your accord, if you would be interested in selling.
  6. check your oil and add SEAFOAM believe me, it does wonders:brow:
  7. you sure its not the cv`s?maybe the teeth stripped or the joint is busted under the boot?you can run it in RWD for a while if you need to get somewhere.
  8. never fixed the overhead clock:) wheel bearings are general long term maintanence to me.no coolant problems
  9. i found one dealer with 05 5 speeds for $17,999 which did seem pretty good.my uncle has a 98 that he owned since new, which has been extremely reliable.he is up to 150k, and has only done general maintanence (he does his own) the hardest repair was the timing belt.he is also getting about 26mpg.good luck with it, and i bet you`ll end up liking it even better than the honda. Jon
  10. oh yea, for the heads you need, bill browns junk yard in pine bush might have some.he always seem to have some subes, but i think most of them are ea82.
  11. man, that is amazing.my sister told me someone stopped and asked about the brat.it is for sale, but right now i was in the process of adapting impreza seats into it.are you into subes?i also have 2 68 subaru 360 microcars that are kinda cool.take care, Jon
  12. HI welcome to the board fellow new yorker.i also have an ea81, but its in a 85 BRAT.what part of ny are you in?pics are easy to post, just scroll down a little from where you type your message.there is a pic posting section on the page.take care, Jon
  13. A.A lifts are having a group buy right now for ea82`s.many people have had good luck with his lifts, and they have good ground clearance.BYB also makes good lifts, but at the current time, he`s not taking orders.check the market place for the A.A group buy, and take a look at his web site for pics. later, Jon
  14. is it worth taking the emissions system off a brat?any power increase?what can be removed so the truck still runs?i have been thinking about doing this and adding a weber when some cash starts coming in.thanks Jon
  15. do you work on your own car at all?it probly would be a good thing to learn, because then the only costs would be supplies.i think for getting everything done at a dealer it would at up to alot.
  16. just wondering if you consider that cheap or expensive? i guess its pretty decent, 6 yrs= $1033 a year= $86 a month= $3 a day+ gas you probly would pay that much for 2 repairs on a mercedes
  17. oh yea, welcome to the board, and if you have any questions about your new ride, post them on the newer generation forum. Jon
  18. exellent choice indeed.what color/model did you get?does it have the new style front end?i wish i could get me a new one, but well...i`m poor.:-\ maybe some day:rolleyes: anyway, good luck with it, and i`m sure you`ll end up likeing it better than the honda.
  19. that is strange.look under the hood, find the mastercylinder, and see if there is metal lines going out of it.i am just curious, but you don`t have to look.
  20. don`t worry, it`s not all its cracked up to be:) then you have cars painted with rollers, now thats kool ahh, if you can have it done with a regular spray gun, you might as well.if you add hardner to the paint, clear isn`t needed.paint, and hardner is real expensive these days so its a good thing your friend has some yellow. good luck, Jon
  21. the brakes by wire must be from the pedal to the mastercylinder, because the mastercylinder could not pump fluid through a wire. sport shifting is ok, as long as its not abused. oh yea, GREAT CHOICE & WELCOME TO THE SUBARU COMMUNITY
  22. heres some of garners pics w/ a ea82t got any pics of your new wagon?i always like seeing gen 1`s http://usmb.net/gallery/garners-sub-a-rama/driverside_done http://usmb.net/gallery/garners-sub-a-rama/passsidedone http://usmb.net/gallery/garners-sub-a-rama/underthehoody
