  1. take the choke apart the round black unit that work the choke has a heating coil in it check to see if it is broken if is try to solder a heater rezister in its place works great on my 80 sedan
  2. well the wagon have my aunt bought new in 1986 so, its part of the family anyway two years ago I heard she was going to have it crushed because unknown to me the car was wrecked in 1999 (bent frame etc and had 495,000 on it ) and she said it was not fixable. well the car was 100 miles away i drove my 80 sedan up it see how bad it was so after looking it over i bought it for $100 and started to work try to get it started no go the feul pump was bad from setting so i drive back home get a spare feul pump fenders bumper etc and go back get it running clean the rats nests out put good head lights in and leave for home now the only brakes the car has is the e brake no tail lights and hasn't been dove in four years a still makes it home

  4. ea 81 own few their bomb proof but have no problems with ea 82s either but when the wagon or the 3 doors give me any problems they'll get built ea81s with spfi on them
  5. not yet but will be posting some very soon i took them to be glass beaded then I'm going to paint them 2004 out back silver the same color as the car when is done well at least the body this being my dily driver it may take awhile
  6. alloy 5 spoke 15s i think their in a local junk ayrd of which i know the owner (my cusion) they were priced to me @100 bucks a week a go I don't need them i've got sets of 5 14 & 15 alloys

Subaru junkie Mine arn't just like yours but that that being said I've never seen a set like yours this is the only set of spoke alloy subaru wheels I've seen oh by the way I save the from the crusher they were in an inpound yard the car was so rusty couldn't find a place to jack it up that didn't crush the body I hate to see another soob sent to the crusher when its the only gen 1 wagon I've ever seen

  11. the ea 81 2wd 5spd trans was the highest geared of all the 5speeds 5th is .725 and the axle is 3.7

  14. yes its still around i still drive it heres the storymy aunt bought the car new in 86 in california at north hollywood imports to drive crosscountry (she don't fly) when she came home to southwest virginia at the time she lived in in pearl harbor snd left the car at their house in Cal. they made 4 to 5 trips a year to the east coast in it til 96 when she retired and moved back to virginia at the time the car had roughy 450,000 on it my aunt gave it to her son because she loved the car so much she woulded it to stay inthe family but 2000 he wrecked it it was parked on my aunt's farm thinking someday she would have it fixed but bad it never happened in 2003 in bought the car from her for a 100 bucks being that it was 4wd and me being out of a 4wd help alot in fixing it to drive to collage. it was totaled the frame rails were hiting the valve covers but the hit didn't affect the streering it still dove straight when i pulled it out of the weeds so i find a 88 wagon parts car 2wd cut the front end off just after the strut towers and weld it on every thing lines up and looks good so i wet sand the car and paint it blue (because thats what we had laying around) i done all this before i tried to get the car to run it turns out i have 2 blown head gaskets due to being oil soaked no biggy tore it down replaced all the seals on the whole engine gaskets tbelts ect. put back in with a new carb and it runs this being the orginal engine i have all the paper work on the car since it was new even the window sticker but since the car was fixed i hit a deer in the road tore up the front bumper alittle
  15. all you need to did is tap it out to the next size up or get the cam rail for that side which is not part of the head
  16. my wagon gets 23-26 my 3door gets 29-35 my 80 1800gl auto sedan gets 26-29

  18. I would like to upgrade my console and shifter in my 3 door to that of a xt will it just bolt on like the gl stiff did or is there more stuff to be changed say the shifter will it just bolt right up on the no the trans like the other one did or will it require some modding
