    Snow!

it snowed a little over here yesterday, had to take the legacy out ! tried to cross a ditch, didn´t make it al the way
  2. 1. jack the car up 2. take the right front wheel off 3. replace seized caliper (or piston if you can get a rebuild set) 4. install new pads, discs if necessary (replace left side too) 5. put wheels back on changing your brake fluid at the same time would not be a bad idea happy braking
  3. maybe this is usefull info, but i doubt it  over here in iceland the 5speed EJ series cars almost all came with the D/R transmissions forester´s all had them (except turbo models) impreza´s and legacy´s where different basicly the sedans had just the normal 5 speed and the wagons had the D/R (again, except turbo models) i have even seen a 2008 ej15 impreza hatch with a D/R i have driven sooo many subaru´s here and while i don´t tear many transmissions apart, i can tell you that not all of them have the same low range ratio (depending on year, model) here is a "90 wagon i had Ej22 16Valve with a D/R 1998 forester = 2001 legacy = 2009 legacy = cheers
  4. i use to get around 47-49mpg out of mine, doing 60-65 on the highway (gps measured) got around 25mpg in town because i always drove it like i stole it
  5. thought i would share a little the first subaru i had had this one for a while looked perfect but a lot of rust in the floor pans and subframes [/img] then got this one and sprayed it with beadliner (never doing that again) and then "the one that got away" made a big mistake selling it, i have been looking for one as good since
  6. when i had my GL the throttle pedal was used as an on/off button and seeing how far past the redline i could get was just part of the fun (valve float was just below 9000rpm) never skipped a beat so much love for the EA82's
  7. no i know how to mount a switch, i just want to do it neatly, i have 4-5 switches and a oil press gauge i have to mount and i would like it to be flush in the dash somewhere, i´m just looking for pictures of some neat setups
  8. i am looking for ideas on how to mount some switches and warning lights in car, i was wondering if you could share some pics to give me ideas ?
  9. you could have a machine shop make you spacers to go from 4x140 to 4x114.3 or 4x100, seen it done b4
  10. hahaha i know it´s not a good idea but i still can´t overcome the idea of a EA82 driven legacy
  11. i would be talking about taking the trans with each motor, i have some rednecking skills and a welder / any power tool, and as i said, it would not have to be a fun drive, just get the old man to work and back, my EA motor/trans only have about 60.000miles on them and and the motor is fairly strong in its powerband i know what i would be getting myself into work-wise but this cant cost well, nothing would be best
  12. hmm ok so i have my 87" leone and my dad uses my legacy to get to work and back (2-3km commute) i was thinking about stealing the EJ22 out of the legacy but my dad still needs to get to work, so i thought, If a EJ fits into the leone without much trouble then getting the EA to work in the legacy cant be so difficult anyone ever done this that you know of ?
  13. x2 worth looking into, but every time that´s happened to me, it´s more of a scraping sound than a clicking sound
  14. this is the lowest you can go in the front with stock struts it was basically just sitting on the bumpstops i have ebay coilover-sleeves for a honda civic and i have since this pic raised it to make it drivable. i really want to find some shorter struts so i can go that low and still have it drivable
  15. you´re not using the same axles if i understand correctly, could the clicking not be from one of the axle joints ?
  16. That´s how ALL of the EA82 wgons looked like here in iceland
  17. I FEXED IT  by stealing the carb of a friends project so it´s fixed for now untill nextime thanks ! Oskar k.
  18. ok so next week in north iceland we have a 5 day festival translated roughly as "cardays" i´ve been looking forward to this the whole year but now i have a problem my carb has issues to say the least, sometimes it is compleatly normal, drives like new sometimes it refuses to idle, it´s just like on/off it wont idle for 2 minutes and then starts idleing again sometimes it feels like the low speed needle stops working, it will only run on idle or full throttle. and now today it has been lacking all top end power and started over flooding the engine with the only way to get it started again was a pull-start please if you have ANY idea please share
  19. i think this lip only came on the RX in the states i got it from a GL coupe here two more videos a little rwd fun
  20. had the same problem with the return spring a few months back, just replaced it with a stronger one, that fixed it and the pedal feels much better now i think i will pull the carb next week and start tearing in to it, see if i can see anything wrong
