I could be wrong but I think my fuel pump is cycling ALL the time. Whines stops, whines stops etc etc any ideas? T belts are fine I just replaced them and I'm not running any covers so i sure hope they aren't broken I'll check the other stuff when I get home today and have a chance. Thanks for the ideas on where to look

They are even COOLER when you hook up duck or other various bird calls to them! http://youtube.com/watch?v=lZG0RS3mVBc&mode=related&search= and I think atmospheric BOV's sound way better then recirc but thats just my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldjwe5UUlwc&mode=related&search=

Nice! -
I took the intake manifold off and the plugs. Dropped the turbo manifold and added a few drops of oil hopefully if I get it running asap there won't be any perm motor damage.
-
do I need to take the plugs out if the intake manifold is also off ?
-
I messed up on the install of my intake gaskets (yea I know do it right the first time) but its to late for that so on. but now i have a #3 cyl FULL of coolant I'm about to take the plugs out with the entire intake mani off and crank it to try and get most of it out. is there anything I need to do to prevent major damage ? I should have the car up and running tomorrow or wednesday so I'm hoping most of it will get burnt out then. Should I go pick up some oil while I'm getting new gaskets ?

Tosh replied to Marck's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
in 94+ is when the s14 came around it had optional 5 lugs so on the luxury modles so some of them are 4 and some are 5. -

Tosh replied to Marck's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
all s13 (89-93) 240sx's have the same brakes (I know this for a fact) s14's may have diffrent calipers due to the fact some came standard with 5 lug wheels. -

a little help finishing off my wagon
Tosh replied to Tosh's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
all the vac lines are hooked up. Starter wires are nice and tight. brown wire is in place. Same wierd crack almost sounds more like a click now. I also noticed I didn't have the alternator hooked up I hooked i up now I get the a charge light when the car is in the ON position thats normal right ? -
trying really really hard to get her running could use a touch of help http://www.toshcari.com/doom/DSC00323.JPG http://www.toshcari.com/doom/DSC00322.JPG comes out of the idle air controll valve and goes where ? i'm running an intercooler now so I've got no clue where to plug this in I've got 4 vacume lines http://www.toshcari.com/doom/DSC00319.JPG that come out of my passenger side I have no clue where to hook them to and I'm having a problem with my starting system. The Pos wire from the battery is connected to the starter via that little nub thats between it and the clutch cable. The neg cable is connected to the bolt that hooks the starter to to belhousing. when I turn the car to the ON position I hear an electrical pop/crack noise that seems to be coming from the starter area. When I turn the key to start I get it again. thanks in advace for your help.

hey I had a snow tire reladted question. When I moved into the current house I'm living at the old tenants left a bunch of crap in the garage mostly garbage and stuff that I had to clean out. I found a set of 4 studded snow tires I think they said they where "Eurowinters" or something like that they appear to be in pretty good condition and was wondering if I could get the mounted on subi rims (I have 8 wheels) so I'd be able to have full time snow tires on rims. The size is 155 R13 78Q M+S I know they are 13's so they should fit on but I didn't know about the other dementions.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction home depot and lowes was a totall bust. I know someone makes them I found a pic on subarutex's pictures http://www.subarutex.com/gallery/d/280-2/RX_20-_203-14-04_20015.jpg any help would be great thanks.

my buddys dad has late 90's OBW I think its the 2.2 L but i'm not 100% sure. its got a pretty bad oil leak. I've only taken a look at it in the dark with a flashlight so I don't know exactly where its coming from. Are there any really common places for these to spring a leak ? He took it in and the mechanic said it was his oil plan and wanted $1,200 to fix it (non dealer mechanic). Who makes the best replacement pan gasket and is there any other places that I should take a real carefull look at before replacing the pan gasket? thanks

RX is back with better cooling goodness!
Tosh replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I checked the USRM but I can't find anything on what it would take to get a 2 row radiator into my wagon. Its a GL-10 and I'd rather not get rid of my AC or anything like that would something like switching to electric fans get the job done ? -

Tosh replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
hey I tried to look up a GL-10 radiator for my wagon, they only seem to have a "NON TURBO" one anyone know if that will work on my turbo wagon or not ? -
I was already to go just putting everything back together bolting up the exhaust manifold I was just doing a loose fit to make sure everything was right (tightening the studs with a crescent wrench) and I get to thinking Damn i've been tightening this one for a while. reach up and its just spinning so I back it off with my fingers sure enough its stripped! *insert string of profanities here* any one have any good experience with that helix coil kit ? or is getting a new head easier / cheaper?
