  1. Ahhh, aviation and ham radio. Now I understand. http://www.autoflight.co.nz/dominator/engine-1.jpg http://www.silfreed.net/gallery/v/tasks/SubaruImprezaWRXMY04YaesuFT-1500MHamRadioInstall-20060419/
  2. Nice tires! How about some more lights on the rack? How many other lifted RXs are there around?
  3. Xmsn? I've never heard of that part. Christ-msn. Cross-msn. Ten msn? Trans is 5 letters. Tranny is 6. This reminds me of typing Vee Dub for VW.
  4. It should just be the generic asian import one. I bought mine from Suby Solutions (iPD) here in Portland.
  5. KYB. Or Subaru OEM struts. They're made by KYB, and are usually a bit less expensive than the aftermarket KYBs.
  6. Pfffffft, four wheel drive, what a joke! Anything less than six wheel drive is junk. http://www.4x4road.com/tipspinz.html
  7. That is a BEAST! I'd call it a Subaru De-Forester.
  8. That looks pretty good. You must work in a sign shop or something. Do those little wings on the fenders make it fly?
  9. It'll say on top of the block. I think on the driver's side, if I remember correctly. EJ20 is 2.0, EJ25 is 2.5.
  10. I saw a 1992 Mitsubishi Delica Exceed in Portland last week. It had B.C. plates on it, so I'm guessing it was the same one listed here. Scroll down to see... http://www.japanoid.com/forsale/

  12. Brat with Nissan solid rear axle... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=753182&postcount=1 DeathHatch has Yota axles, I think... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=562014&postcount=13
  13. lmdew would be the guy to ask. He traded me a cassette deck with weather band out of a 99 outback for my single disc CD out of my 02 Imp OS. Same plugs, same size, no modification needed.
  14. Does driving on your lawn count as "mild off roading"?
  15. I'm not into VWs, but wow! http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1388040
  16. Does anyone know the inside diameter of the circle where the lock goes through? Yep, I know. Weirdest and most useless question ever.
  17. You may need to swap out the rails on the bottom of the seats, but they will fit. $300 is bit steep, but that's just my opinion.
  18. Awesome. +1 for John Deere green paint job. But keep with tradition, and do it with a brush and rollers!
  19. OK, the differential will work, but I'm not sure my existing axles will. I've been told yes, maybe, and no. Does anyone have the spline count for 2002 WRX wagon rear axles and 2002 Impreza Outback Sport rear axles? If the axles don't work, I'll just sell the WRX LSD, and get the regular 4.111. Out of all this frustration, there is one positive thing: I'm learning.
  20. So, I found a LSD from an 02 WRX (auto), and everything I read so far suggests it will just bolt right up, but I'm still not 100% sure.
  21. And then it gets worse.... Just got a call from the dealership. The wheel bearings on the other three wheels are fine, it's the.... REAR DIFF. At 96,000 miles? This is going to be expensive... FHI < SIA. My 95 Legacy with over 120,000 had none of these problems. Too bad I wrecked it.
  22. In desperation, I took it to the dealership this morning. I know, I know, but I don't have the time to fix it myself, or rely on a mechanic I can't trust. Passenger side wheel bearing is toast, all the others are on their way. 96,000 miles, and all the wheel bearings are going. My 87 GL had 268,000 and was on its third engine before even one wheel bearing had to be replaced. I think this will be my last Subaru.
  23. So, the diff fluid is clean, no play in the inner or outer CV joints. I guess my next step is to drain the diff and see if I find metal shavings.
  24. The CV boots are good. It's something I check kinda frequently. I am going to jack the car up tonight and see if there is any play in the joint. I'm replacing the front struts because they are leaking and making noise. I did the driver's side on the weekend, and once the spring was off the strut, I could compress the strut with one finger. I haven't checked the front diff fluid, but I will do that tonight. Thanks to everyone for all the help/suggestions. I love this place!
