GL10 Mud Flaps
What are the little guards in front of the rear wheels on some GL10 Turbo Wagons? Mudflaps? I'm looking for a set and I don't know what to call them:-\.

Popping a locked hatch
I've got a trim tool. I looked at mine today--it has auto door locks so I know I have some remote hardware in there. Thanks for the info.

Popping a locked hatch
I'm doing this above board, so please don't think I'm up to no good, but I found a good hatch for my wagon in a PAP in Phoenix and without a locksmith, I'm not getting it open. Is there a foolproof way to open a locked hatch from within the vehicle so I can get the parts I need? Thanks.

Gl cup holders
I remember in my 84 I could put a cup in the T handle of the 4x4 selector! But the EA82 needed a different solution (and not the solution Subaru came up with for my 98 OBW--too much pepsi in my CD player!) I travel alone most of the time, so the passenger side gets most of the use, its close enough and I can see it!

Gl cup holders
They just hook under the boot, no mounting, have always held whatever I put in them (usually a 32 ounce cup). $1.00 solution! Low center of gravity and if there were a failure, it all goes on the floor!

Lol...
Been chatting up a Scion dealer in Mesa about driving the FR-S. He seems game, but he keeps selling the manuals too quick. I wouldn't mind driving the auto just to get a feel of it...or is driving a Scionbaru sacriligious? Plus, pulling up in "Betty White" (my 88 GL Wagon) although she's in beautiful kit, might send up some po' folks red flags.

Lol...
No, it definitely had Toyota Badges on it. It was a coupe, and Toyota doesn't currently have any coupes in its line up. It was new. And it was BRZ/FR-S shaped. It was white. I know that they are badged as Toyotas on their global site. http://www.toyota-global.com/showroom/vehicle_gallery/all/#/86/gallery/

Lol...
I swear that I saw an FR-S this weekend with Toyota Badges on it. I am not delusional. I hopped in my car (I was the grocery) to follow it and it was gone.

Overkill on a CEL question
My Chilton's is kind of vague on this and I can't find my FSM. How long does it usually take for the light to flash when clearing codes?

Advice on buying used...
jeffx replied to Pelle's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI believe that the 2.5 up to 1997 used premium fuel only? The first gen EJ25D are quad cam engines. The second gen had only two cams. My 98 OBW (EJ25D) went through two headgasket failures and had been serviced properly (well, by the dealer, anyway). Sold it. My DD is a 88 GL Wagon. No worries. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

Older Generation Becoming Historic?
I guess 200 hp at 2800 lbs is a good thing. I'm just wondering if they will offer it with the turbo in the US when it becomes available in Japan, that's all. There always seems to be a lag between iterations of their models between the two markets.

rearview mirrors with Compass and temperature sensors
Not completely off topic, but my car sat for a while before I bought it. It was semi-exposed to the 350+ of sunshine we get here in the desert. The windshield focused the rays on the top left-hand corner of the rear view case and gradually melted a two-inch ragged hole in it. I guess one could consider that a sort of temp sensor:-p Oddly, none of the rest of the dash was affected. Good luck with your search.

Older Generation Becoming Historic?
On the BRZ tip...if only they put the right motor in it, made it haul rump roast AND offered it to USDM buyers...but one can dream, right?

88 GL Wagon. Backed into co-worker, broke tail light, replaced tail light (thanks jemmy3!) Replaced exhaust gaskets, noticed my clock stopped working. Clock mysteriously starts working again several weeks later.

I had an 82 GLF. I literally drove it until the wheels fell off! Freak road salt impairment, right?
