hey guys in my 1980 gl the dash is really cracked how hard is it to pull them out ? i really dot want to just cover it up with a dash mat thats just ignoring the problem. thanks Rob

the 82 isnt my first car its problably my 15th or so but it has alot of body damge. but the 80 is the one i choose its a 1980 subaru gl-5 2wd 5speed 1600 ea71 needs front seats and the dash pad is all cracked but i have all theas parts the body is straight and this is what made me choose it over the 82. i am the third owner i found in the back of the car all of the original pappers for the car the build sheet,the original features sheet from the window at the dealership,the options install sheet, the boshure. and alot more it has all the hubcaps and chrome rings. recently replaced and recorded of new rad.new cv joints and new exhaust. and much more.

ok so i found another free car i am havinga hard time figuring out if i want to make the 82 my nice car or my new free 1980 DL-5 2wd 1600 it is really sweet really straight and just need front seats my 82 needs a fender and a hood and all taht but it has quad headlights and i like the look of those what do you guys think i will post picks of them both tomorow

i had a great time. provided that it was my frist wcss and my cars engine seized. i loved it. here are some pics i got. i really like this car any one have any other pics of it?

hey guys and gals i am gonna be going wheeling on the 21 of sep. for my birth day maby camping but i was thinking somewhere muddy and looking for any one who would like to come along. make it a really fun run and if there is a large enough group go camping. ok so i got the headlight one to work so i have flashing lights, but now im just working on my parking lights then the horn. its coming together.

still no luck. any one knopw where the hazzerd light relay is on an 82 gl wagon i might just have to hard wire it :-\ but i meen if it works then i dont care a;so the horn relay ? thanks guys looking at the diagram but im still a lil confused.

i did the same thing 65 chevy pu. they had a bolt on them or mount that needs to be grounded. subarus have positiv horns in other words you have to run one of the wires of the soob to the ground (mounting bolt or bracket) on the horn but when u mount the horn you have to use a spacer u cant just mount it metal to metal that will make it compleat the circut(making constant horn) but if u do this it should work. it worked for me. good luck rob

ok its an 82 and i cant find anything on the net. my relays hav five 4 around the outside one in the middle i have looked on the 12volt.com and i cant figur it out i meen i hooked it directly to the horn the green and black wire but it didnt work but i got as diagram form jerry (thanks again) and i think i cna figur it out but any input is still welcome.

hey guys in my car i am hooking a panic alarm up and i cant figur out how to run the lights and horn into the brai n and the relay. any one have experiance with this pleas help thanks Rob.

ok so i located thewires now for some reson my front parking lights wont come on and i have replaced the bulbs. what could be the problem:confused:

WOOT WOOT yeah the makers of this remote kit have all theas other cars and motorbikes that you can put this on listed with the wire diagram for installing it. well the oldest subaru they ahve was an 86 XT so i was stuck in the watter. so i got my test light out and started poking and proding and got it wired in on my lil 82 gl wagon . now i can start my car while i am in my house and let it warm up or cool down exept i dont have ac and i wont be drivning it in the winter cause itsa 2wd :-\ . but hey i figur it is for show purpos and could be used ona rainy day now what i have come to the brain is set up to make the horn and the lights flash but i cant figure out how to hook theas wires up where are the wires for the marker (parking) lights and head lights much thanks and i will be doing a write up for future refrence:clap:

damn i feel your pain someone knocked out one of my 60 doller fog lights with a rock i beleav but im not shure. then my new windshield got kniocked in but that was mechanical failure:mad:

hey i have my ignition switch out and i was wondering what the letters mean ther is IG i think its ignition. it is on black wire then ther is an S on a black and yellow wire an R on a black and red wire a B on a white wire and an A ona blue wire. so any one on here know what they meen. Thanks Rob

i got a replacment oil cap that had a sticker that said made in mexico but i peeled it off and it said USA in big letters of cours i got it at napa.
