I just installed mine yesterday. The brackets should only fit on one way. This is the best picture I could find that kinda showes the brackets. EDIT: Just ran outside and took a better picture... BURRR 13 degrees

I already tried to rebuild the carb myself. I put it back together and installed in on the car today and it's still running like crap. I took my wagon to the local mechanic and he said these old carbs start to break down over the years and it's best to just replace it. He wanted $650... so I figured I can do it myself.

I'm in the market for a rebuilt Hitachi carb for my 84 wagon. Roo-Builders I heard is good... anyone else have an opinion?

JB!!!!! You should have called my Cell. I went down to Independent Auto to have them check my car out. Then I went to Sparks PnP to look for a carb. Wanna go back to Carson tomorrow? My days got changed because I transferred departments.

Brian you better bring your jacket. We have been stuck in fog for the last week. Our high today was 33. Lets hope for some SUN! If your taking 80 we could meet at the south meadows Wal-Mart around 2? Then go from there. I rebuilt the carb like you suggested. I got it back together today, so tomorrow will be the real test. Wish me luck!

What time on Thursday? I just ripped the carb out of my wagon and its laying in pieces on my work bench. HA! So I'm not sure if I'll have it all together by then.

Oh, well thanks for the heads up. So if I have snow tires on my 2wd Legacy w/o studs they will let me through chain control?

mmmm I heard its in the upper 40's low 50's in the mountains! I cant wait to get out of the foggy cold valley where it was only 38 today. I wont have my snow tires mounted by thurs.. but thats ok.

You can get through chain control with out putting on chains with a 2wd car? Thats all I see good.

I got to see it last weekend at the Reno Auto show. It's not that bad in person.... from the side... the front and rear end scares me. But hey, I did not like the Forester's style when it was introduced... but it grew on me big time. I'll give it a chance.

Well, the temperatures have been quite cold.... -7 at night and our high yesterday was 23.... so for a few days until it warms up again. Looks like toward this weekend it might hit 40. Your best bet is to shoot some video off old hwy 40 in the sierras. You will have better luck with the snow hanging around up there.

Rain?? where??? I wish it would rain! HA! I'm sure after the storm Monday night there will be plenty of light puffy snow to drive in. Well at least above 5000 feet. I awoke to a 5 foot snow drift in front of my car this morning. Needless to say I did not make it through.

Yes this storm is out of control. I just measured 17" of snow and they said 4 feet by tomorrow night! argh! As for a no garage! It sucks! I think its time to get out the tarp! Haha
