  1. Check the belt that runs the alternator and power steering. Maybe the belt fell off??? All the dash lights light up when the alternator dies.
  2. Has anyone tried this? My DL (ea82) is overheating on the freeway so it needs a radiator bad. I have a spare Legacy radiator sitting in the shed. Looks like it would fit. The Legacy radiator has no hole for the fan switch though. Any suggestions? Thanks,
  3. Looks like an older Honda Civic to me. http://www.vonage.com/commercials.php
  4. The only way I know how to send the report is to forward it by email. So again I need your email address.
  5. PM me your email address and I'll send the report your way.
  6. I'm planing on bringing my laptop. Its got wireless and all that jazz. Jibs are you leaving from Reno?
  7. Wow I did not see this until today. Sorry I can't make it, my ea81 would suck stacked up against all your turbo guys anyway. I'm gonna be in Grass Valley tomorrow. I'll look 30 miles south west and wave!
  8. Why is this in the historic forum? Jibs you gotta keep this one nice! So the person you live with can NOT drive it!!!!! And no wheelin it!!
  9. Looks good brian. But i liked the way it looked before with the Pugs.
  10. Yes we are both in. But we really can't afford anymore then $60.
  11. Yeah to low... Ick!! :-\
  12. I'm only working nights this week. I go back to work monday-Friday 6a-2:30p next week. Don't plan anything around me, I'm stupid anyway.
  13. Geez Brian, you drive right by my house and you don’t even say hi. :-\ Oh well... I'm available on the weekends for a pnp run.
  14. Hows the hotel search going NVZ?
  15. Damn! You were so close! Well, next time the conversion will go twice as fast. I hope u give it another try. I'm starting to collect parts for my conversion. Ick! Maybe I'll just go buy myself a ea82. Have your son check the board here for Reno meetings. We are due for a off-roading trip pretty soon and he is welcome to come along.
  16. Yes I agree with NorthWet. The TC is not seated properly. I had the same problem with my 90 Legacy when I replaced the transmission. Be careful though not to destroy the tranny pump inside. So Don't try to start it when its locked up! I learn the hard way.
  17. That looks like a nice route. That plan sounds good to me. Jibs how come you are leaving wendsday night? What are you gonna do for a day?
  18. Yeah the inside of the case.. not the stubs. Guess if I "F" it up I have a few more diffs laying around!
  19. Cool, I'll check walmart. I dont know if I would ever use it again after this trip though?
  20. Awesome, thank you.
  21. Scott just got a management job at Barnes and Noble in Chico, so he's tied up making the big bucks. He hopes to buy a new Subaru soon though. And Shawn is hiking the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) this year. I think he's on mile 600 or something now. He thinks he will be in that area during WCSS so I might go pick him up and drive him home.
  22. If you want to do both offroading and daily driver I would go for the Ea82 87-89. Make sure it's dual range 4x4 and I would look for a FI unit also. I hate carbs. But if you just want a nice offroader go for a 80-89 ea81 Hatchback. I drive a ea81 wagon as my daily and it beats me up. Its small, noisy and uncomfortable. But it sure kicks butt off road and it's been the most reliable Subaru I have ever owned. Ea82 seems to be a little bit softer car mechanically but its much bigger and comfy. Just my 2 bits.
  23. HAHAHAHA! Suuurrrrrrrreeee he will. Cool someone to pick on! Where did u buy and how much did you pay for your CB Jibs? If the price is right I might pick one up too.
