  1. is it a lamp or two faces looking at each other? . . . . . If you look at it long enough you finally see the turbo.
  2. Is he going to swing through St. Louis? Kurt
  3. Isn't that jason's? the one who busted out the rear DOJ a couple times at evans creek? I dont know his last name. The 50 was on the side covering body rot...? Kurt
  4. Hey John. I don't think it's me your speaking of, just in case someone gets confused.... I am also curious about BB's Design. He has been floating quite a few Yahoo messages araound about it. I tried to comtact him a few times but with no reply. I have really thought abotu purchasing from him purly on financial basis, but I am more familiar with PK's lift and trust it's time tested ability's. Besides, naming your lift "kp" vice "pk" just sounds like a cheap knock off. I have no doubt his lift holds well, I just don't see the experience behind the product. BTW, Hi John. Haven't spoken to you for a while... Hope all's going well. Kurt
  5. Hey all- Family is back home now. We had a decent trip to Oregon and the drive went very well both ways. On the way back we were delayed a day so I wasn't able to visit CCR or Mike but there's always the future! Thanks to Jason and his wife Heather for letting us stay with them for a week, greatly appreciated Jason! Jason and I had the opportunity to head up to the subaru yard in Gaston and had a great time looking around. I found some original Jackman wheel caps I have never seen before, I'll post pics later when I figure out the photo page. I even had some time to go to my dad's and make some cool plaques for our garages. Man do I miss the woodshop sometimes. Had an opportunity to visit with some others also including Mike, and Craig and of course Richie and his wife Lisa, who I meet for the first time. Jason also let me use his wagon while I was in town so I had my soobie fix! And I must say it drove better than my brat. I spent the whole second week working on my house and enjoying the sun! It was beautiful, had a great time in the yard. Hey John (Mudrat)- Jason and I saw a white Gl wagon at fred meyers on 82nd with the offroad sticker in the window and it had a lift. It screamed "JOHN WORKED ON ME!" Any Idea who it was? we waited around to say hi but the owner didn't show they were inside shopping. Any way, with the assistance of Richie, I am now back in business to complete the repair of both 78's and get them ready for the summer. My wife will be driving hers, but I have to teach her how to drive a stick.... (yes I have a spare clutch and tranny!!!) Take care all and see you on the board! Kurt
  6. Welcome! Now you new mission , should you decide to accept is to locate a good condition LONG BODY MV (Brat) and return with pictures!! Good to have you. Kurt
  7. Rumors true Ken- Hey Sweet we plan on staying in salt lake or just east of it saturday mid to late evening... Honda sucks, Baja, Dave, Richie (are you out there Richie?) and anyone else.. Planning a junkyard trip to the "Special Subaru yard" maybe around the 10th or 12th. Can't be on Friday because the guys a JH. John, Tried to get my dad to go camping for fathers day but he wants to stay around PDX. Hey ED, Is there any rally's this month? Looking forward to seeing ya'll. Kurt
  8. Well this friday I am packing up my family and headed to Oregon for about two weeks. With plans to visit CCR and Swings in Denver on the way. We should be in PDX BY Monday Morning. I am looking forward to seeing a few folks and visiting my Subaru junkyard in the hills! Hopefully I can find some goodies and have them shipped back to Misery! (MO). Kurt
  9. 82 DL, NO T-Tops! Fairly unique. I believe Ed's son's is also a 82 and I think his is also without T-tops. Kurt
  10. Corky - That's the first time I have ever heard of tires not "legal" on the road. A tire is a tire isn't it? (with the exception of preformance capabilities...) Kurt
  11. Subimech- I do remember finding a mudflap encased in a ball of mud and one of the guys picked it up I remember mentioning "someone might want that!" in a joking manner, But unfortunately I don't remember what vehicle it was placed in. If no one else remembers, you might start looking for a new one. I believe I have your crowbar, you had the package of them right? Like three in a box? I so I believe it's in my garage. I'll check. Your welcome for staying behind and pulling your rig out. Shawn- I could have sworn we had your crow bar, but with so many things going on I can't remember what happpened to it. Sorry-
  12. I would have to go with: 1. Mick 2. Eyesore 3. Mick Also Matt gets my best new gen, and best sport! Kurt
  13. Send all donations to Shawn with the directions at the beginning of this thread. I will settle with him at a later date. Thanks Brian- Kurt
  14. Done. It will be in the mail tomorrow. * Sorry it doesn't appear very legible...... Thank you letter.bmp
  15. Vicki- I do agree with your point, I believe they do deserve something for the valiant effort, even though it was moot. I paid Russ (the cop) all the cash I had for his tractor diesel costs. It was only $60.00 but it did get us out. In addition I had to put the Miles fox boys up for another night ($70.00 for the cabin) and I assisted them with some gas money ($20.00). By Monday evening when I saw him last, I was tapped out. I will call him tonight and let him and the boys know that we did not stiff them and I will get his address to send them reimbersment. I will cover the expense personally and I will requests "Donations" from the rest of the crew. I will send them $100.00 which I believe should cover all fuel costs and maybe some "Damage" (most of their operational problems were caused by their zealousnous in flinging mud....) I appreciate your prompting, as I do care about our board's reputation and we will protect it. A a matter of fact, we were asked to come back. I was told "Don't let this stop you from coming back!" And their right, even with the problems I enjoyed the country. Take care, Kurt
  16. I am working on a PPT. I will be done soon and it will be posted. Matt I don't have a "clean" Pic of the legacy..... You arrived just after I took individual pics of the "Entered vehicles" Kurt
  17. I just realized Matt is GESSNER17 looks like he's safe at home. Matt, I'm sorry things got nasty. We do have folks who can help out with parts and peices as necessary. Don't be afraid to ask about certain parts you may need and we will be more than happy to help out in any way we can. BTW my hands will be dry for years after pulling that mud out of your car! Kurt
  18. VICKI- I put Tim's rig at the Farmhouse. I spoke to Ian, (he was there too) and He mentioned he was going to get it on the trailer. THERE IS NO CLUTCH WHATSOEVER. Nothing, Zilch, Nada. I would have to guess it is nothing but fiber! I don't have your number, only Tim's and it was not answering..... I'm sorry I wasn't able to get in touch with you sooner. Ian's #712-420-1642 I will post more later with the whole story, but right now I have to catch up on homework for class tonight. I have been going nonstop since I got home this morning and I will have to catch up with the board later. I also have pics. BTW Eric (Zap) you would have been amazed at this mud. Shawns Brat's Wheels - all four - were completely encapsulated from the outer edge of the tire to the inner DOJ. This stuff is VERY STICKY!!! and when it dries it's concrete. Shawns Brat's running gear is currently frozen in a concrete time capsule. Within 100 feet of pulling Tims hatch out I was smoking the tires adn the "Mud" was cutting the tread off! Matt's Legacy lost a band of rubber on the inside of the tire 1 inch wide and 1/8th inch deep just going to the farm house (1000 ft?) More to come. I will try to get a hold of Matt with the legacy. Kurt
  19. Ford bought rights to use the Toyota Hybrid system. it's not a "new" system... Kurt
