  1. i am real sorry to hear that and i hope you get better! Get Well soon and my best wishes. i really can't wait to see you guys again. The likelyhood of me coming back before i go on deployment is slim. maybe just long enough to drop offf little roo at eric's house or my dad's house and fly home to board a ship for six to nine months in june.
  2. i'm trying to find out right now who's seats will be open and how many passengers are coming. right now i have a max of one person for passenger. which will put me at 3 passengers. but i'd like to keep at 2 due to the weight of my car. but if no other has a available seat i'll definately take ya as a passenger.
  3. -------------------Don't Move Post-------------------- This is a Poll ok i'm going to need a rough estimate of who will actually be driving, who will be walking/riding. and who will be bringing cameras. i need to know because i've gotten a few request for people to ride. i have 2 passengers that are family and a friend. so at most i have room for one. Subafly i have no idea who he's bringing other than probably his girlfriend. not sure if Zapar is driving or riding. not sure if QMan is coming. not sure if tex's car will be up and going. Eric Morton (toyota) most likely will have his passenger seat filled. other than that i don't know who will be coming. and would like to know how large of a group or small will be coming. also what the group trail capability is. cause i heard lake isabele trail is closed for sure. but would like to see how closed it is. cause i have a date with the wooden bridge.... it's about 4 major obstacle after the little rock climb out of the little creek (2nd actual creek crossing.) and a ways after a long steep hillclimb of rockslab. but more than likely won't be running that trail. but just would like to know who would be going or not. thank you. and please post if you are coming. at least say yes, no, or maybe. or if needing a ride but want to come. also if you can carry a passenger or 2 if you are driving. All the meeting info and cb channels are in the meet and greet. this is just a poll to see who's planning on going.
  4. if you are trying to get flex with these things. step one remove the sway bar. i gained about 8 to 10 inches more travel all around. by removing the fighting force between left and right. next lower your adjustable suspension all the way front and rear. it'll sit lower but flex better and be softer. change to a coilover setup in the rear. mine bottoms out in the back on the shock, or the bump stops when it was stock. now when i had the pk lift i didn't bottom the bump stops. i bottom the shocks out instead. you could remove the bump stops on a stocker. custom fab a mount and use rancho shocks. cause the shock limits about 2 inches of down and 1 or 2 inches up. larger tires also help the flex. by creating a heavier weight on the suspension. making it droop better. plus the more tire you have you can air the tire down. for better traction and flex using some sidewall flex. also on the front end i'm planing on changing the strut rod to a rod with heim joints. to get extra flex. just my 2 cents and what i've done. or am planning on. not to mention the rest of the things being done. actually i'm going to eventually try running fox coilovers in the rear. so i can have custom lengths, travel and handling. but even with suspension lifts. you can loose flex. granted i could goofy leaf, or hing shackle any leaf sprung vehicle. trust me i've been working on solid axle vehicles for years. and i've finally realized these things aren't the flexiest but gear them down and lock'em up. and they'll go damn near anywhere. think of it as the hummer they should have made... not so darn wide. narrow and agile little machines. just need a little getting used to. put a lift and tires on it and play with suspension components. they aren't a 168:1 rockcrawler. but they go anywhere you want to abuse them through. there are places i wouldn't have sent my 4/3" lift through. but accidently had no choice... but it made it through. a few new dents and scratches. but oh well. that's part of the game. it boils down to most of our stuff winds up being self fabricated. or you have to look at it outside the box. like whoever was the first for the divorced tcase. i believe lumpy cam had it first. he pioneered a new way to modify and lower the gears on the transaxled subarus. you could go to a solid axle setup... i've contemplated it and probably will for my next suby just for $h!#$ and giggles. along with i got a connection for a set of toy axles t case and drivelines for a couple hundred dollars... that's for the later years.
  5. you really need to put on the top of the page. "buy one the rest just manifest" that was my family's problem. we've been joking about that for years. my dad's side got the subaru bug and they just kept poping up everywhere in the family. it all started when a friend bought little roo. they bought an ea82 wagon. then i bought little roo. and dear god there's mass amounts of subaru's now. and i'm going to bring another baby into the family in a year. a new generation impreza is what i'm looking at.
  6. the dreamweaver program is sweet. but the gallery is also the same program the original gallery used on the usmb. that's why that'd look familiar. cause brian helped me get the program on to my site (loaded it). i just loaded photos and changed the gallery colors. the rest of the pages i wrote, or made on dw. It's a great and easy to use program. that has made it a lot easier this time do make my webpage. last time i was knee deep in writing all the html. which sucked when i did my other web page. http://www.angelfire.com/80s/rooinater/index.html i can do a lot more cool things with the site now with out having to research deep into the html. just have to scan the html from time to time to make sure links and other little blips are ok. which i'm seeming to have to do more frequent since i screwed my site awhile back. and brian had to fix it. so now i'm checking the html more often, that the links are perfect before i upload. so is it true your gonna work on the logo? a stomper with a mountain backdrop or on the rocks and a mountain backdrop. thanks miles!! that is very much appreciated.
  7. they are the same left and right. 1980 to 1989 4x4 hatch's axles, 80 to 1984 4x4 wagons, gen 2 brats. or in other words all ea81, no turbo, 4wd cars use the same front axles. reman's are sold at all respectable parts stores. also http://www.cvaxles.com granted i won't buy from them anymore. because i got 2 bad shafts from them. everyonelse seems to get good axles from them except me. local lifetime warranties are the better bet anyways. no shipping involved. and i tend to screw up front axles. so it's more convienent to go to the parts store to return. then ship them across the us. same with the front strut s are all interchangeable on ea81 4wd. and i believe all if not most of the front suspension. i have one hatch steering knuckle. and hatch struts on my wagon. just because that's what i found at the time. and it's all interchangeable.
  8. you can use any pictures that are at http://www.westcoaststompers.com/gallery or my usmb account. as long as they are for the board members to view. i'm ok with the use on your site.
  9. no it's off my own server, and domain name. that i had to register and pay for. can't remember the company's name
  10. when i get the new mods finished i'm gonna go run some trails with the arizona backcountry 4 wheelers. see how she fares on the extremely difficult stuff.
  11. roger that i'll check the links page and migrate most of it into my page and link and migrate your stuff into my page too!! i'll tell you what i use. i'll probably use most all the links page. and definately link your tech stuff to my tech page when i rewrite it.
  12. oops i posted the wrong dates i corrected them. in the top post
  13. yes i do need to find someone to wheel with all the time. there's a couple people i've found that like to go out, not on all the hard stuff i do. but one has an engine out. the other has his engine being slowly put back in. so hopefully i can convert a few people to modify there subies!!
  14. your in my dreamweaver progam. so as soon as i finish gathering more links before work i'll have it updated tonight. thank you!
  15. trying to locate all the arizonians here on this board. i've talked to a few, but have lost email addy's overtime and can't remeber all the names. so anyone that lives in arizona or southern cali post here. and any that are interested in modifying subarus for offroading. tell me cause if you are within a few hours from here i'd be willing to help you, come wheel with you, hang out with subaru owners, and show people the beauty of the all wheeldrive. i'm really trying to find other subaru addicts in my state. so i have people to chill with and wheel with that have the same passion of subarus.
  16. for the tach problem... i'd check for a good connection and resistance in all your wires/ corrosion on terminals... cause that's the only thing that i can think of for eronious indication on electric system. other than a bad tach.
  17. well i couldn't find the subiemech performance page. it's not where i used to have alink for it to. so is it still up anywhere?? all help in locating it or at least a html copy of it and it's pictures would be an extreme help!! thanks.
  18. please... i'd really like to try to include off road and mod pages from the usmb members too!
  19. Just added the upcoming events page and a basic links page. i'll be updating the links page as people send me links and as i get all my old links from my mom's comp and as i research the internet, again...
  20. any others going to be able to make it to the trail run. that'll be driving?? or any that will still need to be seated somewhere??
  21. well either on the 6th or 7th of january. one day will be boarding at tahoe, the other will be either at the orv park by Junkie's house or at hollister. it's up to him for location. but either way. any who can come. pipe up here and tell us your interested. so we know if we are expecting more people...
  22. someone was having a little bit of fun! congrats on the maiden voyage. subaru's are a lot of fun. wait till you lift and start doing big mods. they'll surprise everyone even stock. in washington we were at an orv park and we ran into a stock subaru. and he was going pretty much everywhere we were. he had a welded diff too. the only places he didn't go were the deep mudholes. tex and i did!! but the toy with 33's wouldn't because he said his other toy with 38's hardly had the clearance. i bottomed out twice in that hole. enjoy the suby offroad.
  23. you've been added eric, tell me if there is anything else for mods you want added. i still need to put a photo of your car on your member's ride page. so if you have a favorite tell me. so i can resize it and upload it.
  24. good luck. and if you still have that oil cooler around the time you get back email me!! i want it. i get paid on th 15th of january. that's when i can buy it. have a safe journey.
  25. you may have the xt map light mod on your page... but do you have the harrier map light and grimes light mod??? didn't think so!!! :moon: the next step on my page is to hook a lot of the info i had on my old web page at angelfire.com. that way i can have a offroad and subie mods page again. not to mention a links page to the subaru super info highway...
