Need all your subaru links, info pages, and modification pages.
i know i asked for them awhile ago. but they were given to me in all kinds of forms. and some were just blank emails. so i'm asking for the url and then a few spaces and what it's called. anyone that has links send them this way. so i can put them on my site this week. i'm seriously trying to for the most part finish the links page this week. so that i can start working more in depth on the trail locator and gps fixes pages. This site is a long way from being done. but all help would be very much appreciated. thank you.

will any ea-81 seat fit?
i have some after market prelude seats. a lot of welding and fabbing to put those in. but i used stock brackets with a inch and a half seat lift. cause i don't like how low the ea81 seats sit for a 66" tall midget like me.

found an insane agricultural tire for 14" PUG users!
the guy at les schwab was trying to sell them to me when i pulled in in my wagon. i asked dot approved and speed rating?? they are not rated for over 25 mph. approved for road yes and no. i was from a farming area. which they are legal but only on backroads and alow speeds. if my suby never saw the rocks i would have bought them.

1600 engine thoughts
i weberized mine, and it has plenty of power when you have stock tires. still a little power with 27" tires. but too small of a clutch for a hill climbing with traction. i had a japanese motor too. they are great little engines. but now that i'm upgrading tires i am upgrading to a built 1.8L. the other reason why i'm upgrading is i'm making my ideal subaru 4 wheeling machine. clutch can't handle 31 inch tires on a 1600.

GM alternator conversion
ok need to break it down really barney style. cause i under stand but a the same time don't have enpugh info. what's the size on the spacers" bolt's length. the 4inch steel plate is that full length used on the right side of the alt. (driver's right). a few other questions i'll have to ask to claify directions.

Poor Headlighting
driving lights are probably the best bet. i helped brighten mine by cleaning all the contacts in the fuse pnl, on the lights and the gnd wires. it helped but they still suck. the other option is to reroute wires and use a relay straight off the batt. that'd help a lot. hook the relay up so it operates with the old switch and uses pure batt pwr to the lights. other than that just use driving lights. relays aren't too expensive, and you only need a small amount of electrical knowledge to create the circuit, or use a diagram. those are the easiest way to create the circuit.

Single electric fan?
hahaha why not upper ajax hahaha. doubt it right now. woodpecker and ajax i've been drooling over on the internet and in my arizona 4wd trails book. i'm game to go play with the low range crawler. how's the weather in the florence area around now? it's like around 70 here on average right now. i'll try to grab a front spare axle, and strut arms and rods. i'll bring my spare rear axle. so i guess i'll begoing junkyard shopping when i'm in washington! got to get my digi camera fixed!! so i can post pics of that!! i'm stoked and can't wait to go!! in the future my car might go live axle, cause i got a friend that's trying to sell me a set of toy axles tcase and drivelines for a couple hundred.... contemplating taking him up on that and making another suby.

manual tranny lube?
for those tranny's it's reccomended i believe for the 75-90w gear oil. i had a similar problem with mine. changed the oil and wa la it's fixed. i wouldn't reccomend the atf in the tranny of that car. because it leaves a thinner coat of oil and our tranny's aren't as tight of tollerances so use the proper oil.

people with webers chime in
i love my weber, with out it life sucked!! but elevation still kills it. the 1600 wouldn't go up the passes till i got a weber attached. but this year it'll be coupled with a hi po 1.8 L and a 5 speed. should have a lot more ummph

5spd D/R conversion Qs...
even better attached to a nissan tcase. but with the 5 speed d/r it gives you a lot of up and go in all the gears. up at evan's creek we can be rallying around 40 to 60 mph no problem.

5spd D/R conversion Qs...
i figured it was differant. i was just giving the figures i had on the loyale 5 and ea81 4. to give him a comparison of those to the fact his will be way higher.

Rieter Pit Run, WA, January 3rd 2004 **Updated**
well it's gonna have to be saturday, cause i have to drive to az on the 5th so i need one day to fix all problems. that might occur. i'd reccomend the d/r soob. cause the hobbit trail is in order, isabele is closed so we can't do that. power lines. v notch trail, and the index wall trail. the power lines play area you could get to with the wagon by way of gravel road. otherwise there should be room in some of our cars. austin try to make it!! haven't 4 wheeled with you in a really long time.

Single electric fan?
i'll definately shoot you an emai when i come up. Glamis it doesn't do bad till you hit the whoops and the tall dunes. 15 to 25 mph is my limit or stuff starts breaking. i prefer the rocks and mud. i'll envy that 168:1. mine will have about 60+:1. a lot better than 20:1 stock. i still have plans to build a jeep in the next couple years. i'm torn between buying a jeep, a impreza or a yamaha r1. can't decide. but i need a vehicle that has a/c. this place is hot as hell!!! but i'm stoked to start doing some crawlin, versus sand. there is not a lot of designated trails here in yuma. most of the places are sand pits i'd love to get up there the end of january to do some wheeling and show you little roo. the big problem i had was tearing strut tops. that's because my 27's are so heavy and i replaced the tops with dry az ones. the mods that'll be done to my car by the time i come up. 8" lift with subframe. nissan tcase power steering 5 speed d/r tranny high performance 1.8L rear discs. 4.11 r&p's another rear lincoln locker front LSD ea 82 suspension 31" kumho tires chevy 15" rims and a few other things. So i want to go play!!

GM alternator conversion

tire size question
if it's mainly sandy and sand running the wider is better. gives you more float. not to mention in soft sand you really need to air down to like 10 psi or so. A/T tires are best for sand running, mainly because they don't dig as much and you stay afloat. if you have dunes around i'd recommend around a 26" tall tire or smaller. just for the fact i know the 27.5" tires i have take to much hp and also a lot more stress on struts and parts. if your front end leaves the ground. just my 2 cents.
