  1. hilux_1990, man good luck, that really sucks, but again good luck and i hope for your sake it isnt too bad.
  2. its really to bad that these are in the UK, otherwise i would love to have these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2455073404&category=28648
  3. ya im going to UTI, thats why im moving, but i guess i will just keep my subaru registered up here at my grandpas PO box where there is no emisions. then just toss on a weber, and go with the turbo muffler, maybe that cam too, gotta look into that.
  4. ok great thanks for the heads up. but also my grandparents live in san diego, so if i need anything my grandpa drives up to seattle and back every few months to check up on his houses and such, so i could have him grab the parts, plus he has 2 extra motors and a 86 4wd tranny with dual range. and ya i will be there for atleast 21 months because thats how long my college lasts for me. but if my fience goes she will be attending the art institute of phoenix which is a 3 year school, and if she does then i will be down there until the graduates. so most likly i will be there for a while.
  5. well my EA82 is going to get a weber, im going to port match the intake, port the heads, get a custom cam for a higher powerban pull like from 2,000 to 7,000. ive built man engines for my VW bug i had, i actually got my bug to run a 12.6 in the 1.4, a twin turbo 2100CC motor. that was fun, doing a launch o the street, on street tires and lifting the front wheels for about 40 ft. and yes, i would weld the rear, and run single echaust, better because less things to rip off the car, lol. my ea82 might get duals, but probally just a turbo muffler when im done building it.
  6. well i was thinking about gettin another wagon and just keeping my EA82 wagon stock for a daily driver. then get like a 80 or 94 wagon with a D?R trans, manual, put a weber on it along with dual exahaust, chop the fenders, i got street signs and bunches of steel to make skid plates. what year/engine/trans combo should i look for in a car to build. and by the way, Rooinater, your car is just plain bad a$$.
  7. well as some might know i am moving to phoenix arizona in july for college. and after seeing some people's cars, like the rooinator and such, i was thinking of lifting my 86 EA82 wagon and putting on some tires that can get me in the back desert in the sand and play a little. then also when i get back to take the muck trails my old trucks i had used to conquor. so if anyone could give me some recomendations, for instance maybe a different car, or if not, what to do with mine. but keep in mind, this car will have to be a daily driver, pass emissions, drive from seattle to phoenix more then a few times with no problems, and still be plenty capiable. thanks.
  8. well thanks, i actualy got on JC Whitney and found a cherry bomb brand Turbo II muffler, exact dimentions i need, size, and everything for $19.99, but then the problem. my dad says no, im 17 so unless i take it to school and do it in a day then he is gonna know. he said no because he says it runs fine, and i dont need to change anything. but oh well, what he doesn't know, wont hurt him.
  9. ok who here has an aftermarket muffler like a turbo muffler, or a exhaust system that does not retain the stock sizing. please help me out, i read the article here and i want to know if anyone can tell me where i can get a muffler that will fit. it says 7inches wide and 13 inches long, and i cant find a parts store that carries anything that small. thanks for any help. by the way, i dont want it to really be any louder then stock, nothing that sounds like the rice rockets that drive around. so no glass packs unless you can post your settup and a sound clip and/or a movie. thanks. Shean
  10. ya i ran it through the gromet on the driver side, hooked everything up and turned on the stereo, no sub, forgot i took out my fuse for my truck and forgot to put a new one in, so tossed in a fuse and man, it sounds sweet, im glad i put my system in the roo. now i just have to go get a turbo muffler, clamps, and extention pipe, 2wd dizzy, and take off the clutch fan and swap on a second electric fan.
  11. hey all i got a question, for those who had subs in the back of their car, in the trunk, hatch or against teh hatch door in a wagon. how long of a 8gage power did you need, im gonna go get some to wire up my cerwin-vega 12 sub tonight that i took uot of my mazda truck. and i dont know how much wire i need. also is there a whole in the firewall taht i can run it through rather then drilling, or sunning through the door jam? or do i have to drill, i dont care, but if i have to i will drill a whole. thanks for any help. Shean
  12. hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone could post the engine specs like hp, tq, and so on with a EA82 hitchai carbed engine, also what i have to do to find the complete list of options for my subaru. thanks for any help.
  13. GoldDiggerRoo, hey just go to car toys and get a adapter that plugs into the stock harness, then wire in your new deck, and upgrade your speakers, i just did this and it sounds great.
  14. oh duh, im stupid, i was just looking at those yesterday, lol im dumb. oh well im taking my wagon to school today and putting it up on the 4post hoist and going to build cardboard plans for the SFC's, put in the strut tower brace, and make a custom exhaust.
  15. thanks, but im actually looking for pictures of just the undercarage, strait on or something of that sort so i can see where the trans X-member runs, where the sub frames stop, and how i could join them, etc, but that does help so i can see what each part looks like.
  16. can someone post some pictures or a link to where i can see the WHOLE undercarage of a EA82 wagon. i want to build some subframe connectors, box some of the suspension, and do a few other things, so if anyone has any pictures of the undercarage please post them. prefer whole car, but if not sectionals.
  17. i can try to find some, but ifso then the price will go up depending on the price i can find it as. i did mig wire feed with our gas lincoln 175amp welder at school. im more used to building exhaust systems, not this miticouls beatiful looking welding. i did for my X-mas presents but that doesn't count because its been like 3 weeks now and i suck again on the beatiful part, strength is there.
  18. 3, maybe this one will look better for you guys. they are VERY strong welds, i can grind them smooth for you, your choice. i cant paint almost any color, and try to do any bend, shape you want, connecting anyway you want. but again this will all cost more. paint, other then black or n/a is $5.00 grind welds is $5.00 complex bending, like all the way around the spare tire, $30.00 strait or slight bended $20.00 PM me and we can talk about what you want, also im thinking of picking up some metal to build some sub-frame connectors. because form what i saw from taking a quick peak is it a sub frame car, can someone please tell me if it is full frame or sub-frame, because if its sub then i will also, hopefully, be making some SFC's to stiffen up the car even more.
  19. 2, sorry for it being so blurry, couldn't get the darn camera to focus right.
  20. ok, here are the pictures. best i can get until i paint and mount on the car. i again threw this one together in like 10 to 20 minutes. thats why its so crappy looking, it was just a trail fit and strength test.
  21. never mind, found a set of boxed for 6X9's, 9.95 plus shipping from millionbuy.com, sweet pleace if your looking for audio parts, VERY CHEAP.
  22. sweet man, good to hear you get it going, sounds like a lil beast, and you wont have to worry about it not having enough oil on the bearings. lol good job though.
  23. oh and by the way, in the picture that i added, should i mount it like the chalf outline is on the left 6tall, 9 wide, or stand it on its side so its 9inches tall by 6 wide.
