  1. fuel injector cleaner will do nothing for you if the injectors are clogged or restricted. its more of something you use all the time to maintain them. if they are clogged you need to pull them and have them professionally cleaned and flow tested. if its throwing a po420 that cat is bad. could be breaking apart and clogging the exhaust. i recomend you take the car to a shop that knows what they are doing. i would hook up a scanner and read the pids to see what everything is doing at idle and while driving.
  2. im out, finally after 2 years of beatin the crap out of my car i need to replace the front wheel bearings
  3. doh! pictures got dropped
  4. i might have to make it out, its been too long since i got a dent.
  5. ya my wagon has 27X9.50 SSR's, i LOVE them for offroading, ive never aired down and they still go where i want. i HATE them on the street. they wear way to fast, they are VERY loud, and they handle like crap. im looking at going to the big horns in 30's when these wear out and when i finish my new lift.
  6. big rock from the last trip out at walker. my second only trip wheelin
  7. Type: Professional, Shadetree, and Maint. What: all makes and models, but mainly aircooled VW's, GM, and Subaru How Long: been turning wrenches for about 17 years or so, professionally has been about 5. other: welding, metal fab, electrical, body/paint/interior, etc. basically anything that has to do with a car i can build or fix.
  8. i might meet you all there along with my roomate. we are planning on leaving about that time anyways and don't care what route we take really. my cell is 206-245-9292 so give me a shout if you guys change plans.
  9. nice build thus far, we might have to get together at WCSS and make a run over that road with some of the other lifted cars.
  10. ya it was a great weekend, for sure im going to make the trip up next time you guys go out. well worth the drive, such a technical and fun park compared to evans creek
  11. its shean geoff. it was a AWESOME trip. for my second time ever wheelin my own car it was a BLAST. much more technical compared to evans creek, really looking forward to the next trip. my camera broke so i didn't get one picture or movie, so i can't wait to see what everyone posts up.
  12. the spring holds the weight of the car, the shock is there to obsorb oscillations of the spring. so in theroy no it won't cause the car to sag, only if you heated the springs to a point that it changed their spring weight because of the temper would it sag.
  13. just got to work, gonna be here a few hours but hopefully be gone from here asap so i can hit the bank and borrow a tent from a friend then ill be on my way. i was planning on leaving at 3pm but with a 2 hour drive i might try to leave work at 1pm or so. see you all there, CB on channel 5
  14. You can catch a ride with me once you get to walker and I set up camp. Just look for the blue 86 lifted wagon with the rack and lights. Looking forward to this trip it's been too long, just have to pack the car up tonight and get food/beer tomorrow. If anyone has a cb and sees me I will be on channel 5.
  15. SVX lug nuts, fit perfect and have been fine for the last year on my rig
  16. been running my orignally carbed 86 wagon for about a year now with the EJ swap with no issues. but i replaced all the rubber hose with fuel injection grade hose and its been fine.
  17. The Scooby replied to Mugs's topic in Shop Talk
i run a pair of Hella 500's on the bumper and another pair of old school KC's on the roof rack. my CB settup is a very old settup out of my grandpa's van. but its a mag mount with a 3ft metal antenna which i hate because i catch tree limbs and knock it off every wheelin trip. im looking for a firestick and fender mount for it now.
  18. looks good jeff front i made, the rear i think monstaru made years back for a EA81 and i cut off the mounts, rewelded them then plated the frame and bolted it all the way through. been used more then a few times to yank hard on F150's that get stuck in ditches.
  19. i will be leaving at around 4pm on friday so ill be there by about 6pm. might bring a buddy to have him check it out. im trying to stay till sunday but i dunno if that will happen. might leave late saturday night. putting the power steering change over ive had sitting in the garage for 2 years into the wagon this week/end i hope
  20. im still in, camping this weekend in naches and then next weekend ill be there friday/saturday but thats it.
  21. im in for sure, been too long since the last outing in my lifted wagon. muddy fields just aren't cuttin it lol
  22. door cards don't work. seats bolt in
  23. WRX front brakes bolt right on but you need 16inch wheels or larger. what ive done is buy new rotors ($20 each) buy just the WRX brackets at subaru for about $60 and use the outback dual piston calipers. you can also change out the rears with the MY00+ outbacks for a larger rotor or go with turbo legacy vented rears.
  24. i got some ROCKY badges off a dihatsu and stuck them on.
