  1. i think its looks so much taller is because the tire size as well as the fact that the fender wells are choped out a bunch.
  2. nice work mic
  3. and if people don't mind to bring their camera's. every time i go out i end up being the only one with a camera so i never get any pictures of my wagon.
  4. im gonna bring my little botchi grill and a bunch of hot dogs and burgers just in case there isn't that much food or whatever.
  5. nice but SHEESH thats pricy for a snorkel. i think ill just hunt e-bay for a used one off a jeep or something and make it fit.
  6. ya no kiddin, i got my 86 for $400 and have put quite a bit into it. but then again i like something unique. nice score, ive got a 4wd rear assembly if you are interested.
  7. nice work what did it cost you to make it, also what is the pipe from the fender to the roof made of, exhaust pipe?
  8. thanks for the beer Flowmaster last year. and ya i understand about the keg. i think this time i will remember to get some sleep before and to bring a air mattress that doesn't go flat an hour after you go to sleep or just get drunk enough that i can sleep on the rocks all night.
  9. yep i was on the quite side last year, well for only a few hours. friday we crashed at about midnight and saturday it was about 3am or so. plan on the same this year. i just need to remember more beer as i ran out and was bummin cups from the canadians. and their keg.
  10. just me for friday and most of saturday, might stay until sunday but i dunno yet.
  11. when i did my swap i put the posi carrier into a 90-94 legacy housing. it slipped right into the housing after it assembled it. i used my electric 1/2inch snap-on impact and just put the ring gear bolts on as tight as i can. havn't have a problem at all. then just put in some valvoline 80W90 and some LSD additive.
  12. can't wait to see you there that would be awesome that is if you get there before me. does anyone know what side of the camp ground is gonna be the quiet side and which one is the loud side?
  13. no they will not fit. your front dual piston calipers and larger rotors prevent them from working on your car. sorry
  14. i finished up a few odds and ends today. got my first aid kit in, spare axels, tool box filled, CB tuned, and painted the new exhaust so its not so HEY LOOK AT ME.
  15. i would take one no matter what FD there is
  16. please use the button at the top of the screen called Search.
  17. good to see that ill be able to hang out with everyone i meet last year, that was what my wife and i where REALLY looking forward towards. its lookin like ill be driving my EJ'ed wagon down this year with a trailer if i build one since my swapped impreza is giving me problems to where i think im gonna need to rip it apart to trace wires. i plan on being there on friday sometime around 12 to 1pm just like last year. so if anyone in the south seattle area wants to cruse down with me let me know otherwise im gonna wing it lonesome.
  18. he is the seller, he makes the price he wants, don't get bent out of shape because you where turned down or aren't find a "deal"
  19. nice work scott, where are those dunes you are talking about?
  20. nice sounds like you had similar problems as i did on my EJ swap. i honestly think the EJ swap is the best mod of all for this older chassis. im running mine on the 5sp d/r and 27/9.50 SSR's and its got PLENTY of power. watch out when its wet if you are in FWD its very easy to spin the tires, took me about a week of driving it every day to get it down so i don't unless i want to. congrats, doesn't it feel awesome to hear it run now after all that work?

  22. im gonna build 4 tube doors to replace the stock ones so they will bolt in and latch. i hope to have them done before the off-road meet but who knows. and honestly i couldn't tell a difference with or without them driving around and weelin a little yesterday.
  23. i think ill clean out the interior then pull the rear doors and hatch just for the hell of it.
  24. ive always been the camera guy when we have gone out so really none of mine. hint hint to everyone that will be at evans creek to get some pictures of my car for me. here are a few of Zap's old hatch before he dismantled it
  25. im diggin it scott, my only concern is the strength that was removed when you cut the roof off as well as sectioned the body. are you gonna add more to the cage? im just wondering if it would fold it self in half after a few times out.
