on my swap i just grounded the neutral switch and it has been fine. and i never did figure out how to hook up the vss. the only cel i have gotten has been on part throttle cruse it will trip on but then go away later or when the ignition is turned off so that says thats not a hard code. -

i did hook up all 4, but it seems to not have all that much pressure behind them so im just gonna go with the 2 new ones i got off the forester. next time if you have nothing else to say, don't bother please. -

see my stock ones worked like crap, so i grabbed a 88 hood and put the fan style squirter's out of a MY01 forester that now sprays the whole windshield instead of the dumb stream that never worked worth a darn. -
Lifted Subaru Camber Question
The Scooby replied to bobs97c5's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
its the AA lift, drop the front of the tube for the rear control arms and it will help. never seen problems with camber on the rear of a lift just on the front but ive never done a AA lift, well any others other then my 2inch SJR. -
well i got bored and wanted a newer GL hood with the hood squirters in the hood rather then the dumb metal ones that are stock on my 86 GL. so i found another blue hood to match my car at my work today but decided to paint it with chalkboard spray paint. came out pretty cool. would like to do my whole car since a quart is only $12. who knows. pictures when i get home.

ya i dont know how well my stock EA82 clutch will do with the EJ and my 27inch SSR's

i know a few years back people talked with centerforce about a upgraded clutch disk and stronger pressure plate. with my EJ22 and 5sp d/r im running the stock EA82 clutch and has been fine since but when i replace it i would like something that grabs a little stronger. anyone have any part numbers or anything that will interchange front another car make/model for upgrades?

may i ask what engine and tranny you are going to run with 32"s if its still the stock engine and specifically gearing all you are gonna do is burn up clutches. the tires are too big and will overcome the gearing and basically it will be for looks and a pain to drive epically off road.

oh ok, ya im running a 98 longblock with single port header. custom make cat delete pipe i made to a 2inch exhaust with no muffler or anything.

Jap cars NGK only Chevy AC-Delco OEM only the 2 pronged ones cut down on flash area so i do not use them.

what are you exact ally doing?
-
i had trimmed and hammered eariler to fit my 28's. but these where 27X9.50's TSL SSR's.

2inch SJR for now, saving for a 4inch next.

i had a freaking BLAST, i am so amazed how easily my car did everything i wanted it to do, from the hill climb to just getting over the fallen logs and such. i know im still a noob at wheelin but i learned alot about clutch and brake control as well as planning your line as you go. another neat thing i learned was that if i need to make a tight turn just put in 2wd and pop the clutch and i can easily swing the front end around to where i want to go or same with the back with the help of a log. im REALLY looking forward to the evans creek meet and making a run at 311. with the TSL SSR's and rear LSD there was never a problem with no traction and again the EJ22 performed flawlessly even when i dunked the front end into the creek to the hood and drove through it.

went out with Zap saturday. both of us got the rear LSD swapped in and both where running 27X9.50 SSR's. the EJ in mine ran GREAT never was a time i didn't have enough power but would idle alone down the trail in 4lo with no problem.

its not about power, its about gearing. i have a EJ22 swapped into my lifted 86 wagon and it will BARK 3rd gear, not chirp but Bark. with a EJ22, 5sp D/R, and a rear LSD you will be fine. im running a 2inch lift, TSL SSR's, 3.90 rear LSD, and the EJ22 and i have yet to find a place i can't get through because of lack of power. i still get 25MPG on the highway and thats with my roof rack and the SSR's, city i get about 20mpg.
