question for the 2inch lifted people
well im running the stock springs, it never seemed to be like this before the lift, it might just be a side effect from pushing the struts down 2inches. i hope it goes away when i add in the blocks to drop the front X-member and the rear 1.5inches.

question for the 2inch lifted people
i noticed before my EJ swap that when i would floor it in my SJR 2inch lifted wagon the front would lift and the back would sink badly. now with the EJ22 swapped in its REALLY noticable. i was wondering what could be causing this. makes it a pain in the arse when i drive at night because if i have to give it any kind of gas to get going i blind the people ahead of me. i have just the rear shock extensions in the back with the stock adjustable struts all the way up. the fronts are cranked almost all the way down to help compensate. is it because i don't have the rear trailing arms droped in the back or is it something else that is causing it. i really notice it when i drive Zap's lifted hatch and how solid it feels, then i get in my wagon and i feel like im driving a caddy.

EJ swap under way
lol ya Tom is a great boss and puts up with me alot. but it feels great being able to cruse around with more then enough power to do what i want now. was able to climb some hills yesterday that before it would just stall. just have to build the exhaust yet, might just pay a exhaust shop to do it.

should I stay or should I go now?
find a weekend, or someone like me who works on these on the side to fix it up. most likly it needs a front end reseal. if you want i can pull the engine, replace the clutch, as well as all the oil seals, timing belts, water pump, etc and drop it back into the car for you over the weekend.

EJ swap under way
thanks everyone, ya its a BLAST to drive now. once i get a exhaust on it i will be more willing to drive it every where. that and get some gauges hooked up.
-
EJ swap under way
ya needless to say, 1st gear is worthless in 2wd even on 28's at WOT, it will chirp 3rd gear. i surprised a little honda on my way home from work, they didn't want to let me in by speeding up, so i tossed it into 3rd and pulled away laughing the whole time. i cannot wait to get it out and do some wheelin, but tomorrow i hope to build a exhaust for it while at work. then some time next week i hope to add in some 1.5inch spacers in the front to help with rubbing.

EJ swap under way
the fuel pump relay was getting a constant ground from the ECU, also it was not getting switched 12V like it needs to activate the relay. fixed the 12V power source issue and that was that. it sounds mean right now with open exhaust, ill get some vids tomorrow when at work, might have to play a little and see how well the TQ the EJ puts out can be used to climb some cars.

EJ wiring
or bring it by my place/work, now that my wagon runs with the EJ swap we can compare them.

EJ swap under way
ITS ALIVE MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry but im EXTATIC RIGHT NOW, Suberdave was kind enough to take some time to come by my work tonight and was able to figure it out. i was going to drive it home tonight, but with straight pipe right off the cats. also i would of had to take my time to finish the wiring, tuck it all up, put on my fender, etc. i figured i will just go into work early tomorrow, button everything up and then take it for its test run before we open the shop. MORE VIDEO'S COMMING SOON!!

Eric's trail wagon build, 56K b/w!
ya i do drive freeway, but i have yet to drive my car since i started the EJ swap a few weeks back. even on 3 cylinders it would hold 65mph. i have the 2inch SJR lift, later this week i hope to add some 1.5inch spacers on the front sub-frame to help with my CV's rubbing on the front.

can i do lights?

Re-Blacking Wiper Blade Arms
any kind of matt-black, i take them off and use a wire wheel on a drill or bench grinder with a wire wheel to clean them up, then hang them up. hit them with some brake clean then paint them up. been good for a few years now.

ya i had changed out the crank sensor, i just OHM'ed out the wires from the connector where it plugs into the ECU to the connector that plugs into the crank sensor and all 2 wires are good full length. i hope dave and i can figure it out, i can't wait to hear it STAY running and be able to drive it.
