Get you an in line plug checker and see if you are getting fire, they can be had for a few dollars at part store. If you are getting fire check to see if the inj. is clicking, if it is clicking get you a noid light and check the inj. plug, you can get a set of these also for a few dollars. If this light dont light then then you will need to check to see if it has fire coming to it, use a small test light or mutimeter. If you have current here it could be the E.C.M. that was what was wrong with mine when I had a #3 misfire code. Did you check the easy stuff first like the wire and the plug? I had current to my inj. plug but it was not getting the signal from the E.C.M. to do what it was suppose to do.

I still think most of you worry way to much on this tire issue, if I had to find a barber shop to get a shave for my tires, I would be looking for a different car to drive. Put the one with the most tread on the front, it wears faster it will soon match. If the car tears up then you can get a car that you can use. My Subaru is high mileage and the tires I have now are about half wore out but if ones blows tomorrow Iam buying a new tire, just one.

I agree with you I rotate my tires, front and back and left and right and have not had any trouble. If you have a flat on the right front and then fix it and put it in the spare compartment and next have a flat on the left side and put the spare on it is going the other direction. I even have the trustly 39.00 dollar manuel tire changer from Harbor Freight and flip the tire if the inside starts to get chewed from going on and off of the pavement so much.

Why worry so much about putting a tire on your car when you need it? If I need a tire and the other three are only half worn out I put it on. I have 302,000 miles of postal del on this car. It is a 1997 2.2 legacy wagon. In the early 90's Subaru and the Rural Carrier Association worked out a deal to sell letter carriers Subaru at a really low price so their is a lot of these in our craft, alot of them are high mileage like mine. I have not heard of any carriers having the kind of problems that is talked about here. We ruin tires all the time in our line of work but we dont buy a new set every time we run over something. If you get medicine from the Dr. and read all of the bad things that can happen in the side affects than you would not ever take medicine. I joined this board about three years ago had I not been replacing my tires one at a time if needed for over 200,000 miles at the time I would been so scared by this I would have bought a new set every time I ruined one. Their is bigger things to worry about then putting a tire on your car when you need it. However go ahead because sure enough if you take my advice you will ruin something and then I would feel bad but for me Iam not buying a new set when one tire goes bad.

What is so good about the brembros rotors? If you buy the top of line rotor from Auto Zone you can get it for about half the price of the brembros, they may be made by the same company that makes the brembros. The really cheap rotor that Auto Zone sells is not a good buy, I tried them one time and dont want them again.

I have not had trouble with one side of brakes wearing out before the other, sometimes the inner or outer pad will be a little more worn. On the shoes on the back one of the shoes on each side wears more than the other. When I change them I keep the best and use them the next time it happens. And yes I know you are not suppose to do this. The right front wheel bearing goes really fast I got one out right now. The right front control arm also wears out fast, I am on my thrid one.

Yes you are right, that is what Subaru says. I have put over 300,000 miles on mine while putting out mail most of the time the right tires are wore more than the left but the biggest difference is the right side sets off of the pavement most places at least one in. drop from the left. They are many Subarus in this craft working under the same conditions and I have not heard of them having problems either. It is good that you do things by the book, as I try to do also, but I think this one is a little over done.

Litha Subaru in Oregon is good, cheap, and fast. Their number is 1-866-717-2512, Rock auto is good also as mentioned in the post above. I have never heard anything bad about Jamie either. 1st Subaru parts is well liked here also but Litha prices are about the same as them, and they even sent me a Christmas card this year.
