Last Winter Storm hopefully! New, Correct Cap and Rotor from Parts Hut. Why couldn't the Dealer get these? Like a Glove. Ski wagon cover in snow!

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Why does Rockauto only list the 1983 GL with a 1.8? Isn't the EA81 a 1600 not an 1800? Answered my own question, Wiki. EA81 is a 1781cc motor, So its the same Cubic Centimeters as an EA82. Huh.

*Cough* I would need to use the money you give me, for fuel then... Thats not fair What size are these Headlights? 7x6"? I'm looking for new units, On ebay it looks like they have new Headlight units but with Halogen bulbs vs Sealed beam.

Random question of the day
Yes, no matter what, you will always have some positive camber (Subarus naturally have some positive camber) the SJR kit compensates fairly well.

Or the MilesFox method, Long pipe + Hammer = Timing Cover removal

Going naked
I've never had an issue on my EA82 or my EJ22, Coverless is the way to go, and I stand by that.

Random question of the day
Holy F*cking tap dancing christ! MilesFox has unloaded his pent up Subaru Knowledge in one sitting... Anyhow, good to know about the EA82 steering joint being the longer exception to the EA81. As I may Lift the Ski wagon at some point (4" possible)

Cool. If I remember right, you could take the heads from an EJ22 and stick then on the EJ18, for a High-compression EJ18 (Or some such thing) Useless information, but figured I would post it- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Well, consider it yours. Will be hell of a lot cheeper to ship this to MI then to the Westcoast. I used to have an A/C compressor from my EA82, but I sold it to Scott (xbeerd) then he threw it in the back of a wrecked 2000 Outback for more weight lol!- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Tom, sure, I could hold onto it if you want it. If Buckaroo sees this, let me know. Once I get the fuel leaks fix, I will start it up and test the A/C and see how it works. I think everything is in working order.- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Received!- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Are Dealer installed A/C Components in demand on the USMB? I'd be willing to remove all my A/C stuff and post it for sale, as I don't want it, and would prefer to clean up the engine bay.- Retro GL-10 TURBO build
I actually want one of those for my Loyale (But all Black) its kinda 1-off- Retro GL-10 TURBO build
This bumper is still different the 1987 bumper. If you notice, there is a bumped up ledge on top of the bumper, and the Blinker canals look to be two piece? Strange!- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Tom, Good to know, I think mine is the factory CC? I have a little knob on the right side of the steering column (Says Cruise) Factory or Dealer? As for the hood latch, I am probably getting a complete assy from dude in MI. I'll let you know. As for PMs, I hadn't gotten any today.- 1996 Subaru Legacy LEMON
TheLoyale replied to subarulegacy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIts actually cheeper at the Autoparts store (By a few cents lol) 2 tubes will be plenty for the Oil pan and Trans pan. I would order an engine oil pan gasket from Rockauto or something, and then apply the RTV to that during install, it'll kinda be a double assurance.- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Your SS probably has much less sitting rust though. All my lines are garbage, but at least the trailing arm is still solid, its holding up the rear half of the car.- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Ah, cruise. I forgot this has Cruise! Funny, they can put power windows, and cruise control in this, but no power locks! WTF? Are we assuming the 3amp fuse is for the cruise as well?- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
What the Hell is this thing? Looks to new for an '83 Subaru. Is this an ECU? What is this 3 Amp fuse for? There is also a relay above that (Which is not screwed down (Should be)- My new brat project!
These are pretty close, they are also 15". I have seen these on a 1993 Brumby. http://www.trailer-wheels.com/15-inch-White-Spoke-Trailer-Wheel-6-on-512_p_954.html- Random question of the day
I agree with this, Under acceleration while turning a corner with my 2" lifted EA82, I do feel a roughness from the axles. The angle is just becoming to extreme. I have yet to put the 1" square stock spacers in. Keep in mind, the Mechanical cool fan will hit the fan shroud and the Rad hoses might need to be longer if you drop the motor 1".- My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Get this, The Dealer gave me the wrong cap and rotor for my EA81. The Rotor was super tall and did not fit on the disty shaft and the Cap did not have the little square prong which ensures the cap can not be put on incorrectly. These were both NOS Subaru parts, and these were the only part numbers Wild Subarus parts system pulled up. WTF? I returned them and went to Parts Hut, The cap looks correct and the Rotor has a short base, I will have them tomorrow morning. Heres hoping.- Look what followed me home! (91 Legacy Build thread)
What is wrong with this motor? Nothing? Besides missing a few things. Mr. Adventure, how come you don't buy this motor? Vs the EJ18. - Look what followed me home! (91 Legacy Build thread)
