Sagging 97 outback rar bumper
TheLoyale replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhat gap is this? You could loosen the mounting bolts and try pulling up and pushing in a little bit while re-torquing the bolts. Mine never had any noticeable gaps...? It was in fact a '97 Outback bumper on a '95 lol.

tire question
TheLoyale replied to 95legwagon's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhich in result is going to give you a harsh ride, as there is very little sidewall to cushion the bumps. Sounds like you need Outback struts!

Get a rag, wrap it around one of the lines, and wiggle the hose off slowly until it starts to leak, let it drain a little then pop it off. Easiest way.

The Awesome Older Generation Picture Thread
If I remember right, this one was from an 80s GM truck (Possible) Also, some guys run Brush Guards from old Patrol Cars (Since they wrap around the corner lights) "Markus56" has one on his Wagon.

Very well done T-Wagon.

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
This is the car that kinda inspired Safariwagon (I then took it to another level) http://www.cardomain.com/ride/356878/1993-subaru-loyale I like how this car sits, I might do something like this with the GL-10. I have decided the worst part of the GL10s paint is the hood. I think I am going to roll the hood Semi-gloss or Flat black. I am going with rollers as it is very smooth and consistent. Also, Flat black looks much better if rolled (No overspray) I am going to get onto some 14" or 15" Pugs as well.

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
I like that Audi gray, looks good in gloss. Although, I wonder if it'd look to much like Primer in Semi-Gloss? Semi-Gloss is the way to go, Flat never looks good. A Slight sheen does wonders. There was an EA82 around this site, that was painted up like a USN ship, Looked cool!

ej22 questions
I would buy Fel-Pro, as every time I have seen Fel-Pro HGs, they turn out to be Genuine FHI gaskets (They have the Fuji logo stamped into them) So Genuine or Fel-Pro.

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
I have also had the idea of painting the entire body Semi-Gloss black (Like Trashwagon10) as the paint is such crap currently on the car, half of it is baked off. Votes on Solid Semi-Gloss Black (Not a Trashwagon Scheme) Or perhaps another color. Either way, this car would be done up right, just like my other Subarus and Toyota. Post your thoughts.

Sounds like a kick-down solenoid.

ej22 questions
The gray sealant is Fujibond, which is what Subaru uses to seal the Oil pan with, They also seal the Engine block halfs with that. You can reseal the pan using RTV Ultra-Black (High-temp Oil resistant)

new roo?
The Weber you would be getting should be a 32/36 and would need an adapter for such. This guy sounds like a douche, I hate people who hemm and haw about selling a car. Good luck on this though!

Random question of the day
Teacher cracks your hands with a ruler for that one! "Have you learned nothing in the 8 years you spent in Grade school boy!" To keep this thread on track so it does not get removed: How come the Oil and Transmission dip sticks on EJ cars are never accurate? It always reads over full, when it actually is spot on.

tire question
TheLoyale replied to 95legwagon's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou can run a 225/60/16 on a 2nd gen Legacy if you run the Outback struts (As the body of the strut is longer so the spring perch is higher above the wheel. 225 is the widest you can fit unless you run spacers or different offset wheels. As for a Legacy with stock Legacy struts, a 225/40 might just clear the spring perch (Every time maker follow different specs) so one makers 40 could be a 50 etc.. This is a '95 Legacy with Outback struts and 225/60/16 Outback wheels. Potenza G019 Grid.

As for the dude with the truck, this is why I always throw it in Neutral, and use a parking brake on MT cars (Unless the E-brake is rotted)

Unacceptably poor fuel mileage. (cliffs at bottom)
TheLoyale replied to cal_look_zero's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhat does the exhaust smell like? Rich, burns your eyes? If so, check/replace the MAF with a lesser milage one from the Junkyard for about $40. I had a similar issue with my '95 Outback EJ22. 100 miles would be Half tank Also, check the IAC. These were the two major culprits with my extremely poor MPG, 16MPG with a Flat-4 Engine = BS!
