  1. Found these for $200 ! i couldn't pass them up. especially being black with chrome lip ! 17" 7.5" 5x100 i checked to see if they'd fit and yup !
  2. able to breathe in more air, i need to prevent the engine heat from being sucked in. being cotton can breather better, and its not trying breathe threw a tiny hole & paper filter.
  3. pretty cool ! about 10 years i can afford it i see it has boxer diesel. would great with a 6 speed manual, even better with a 7 speed
  4. thanks for the springs info. the oil issue is done in the same spot. i did think of that but still this weird. i told my father he just said i was on drugs. my xt6 never had this issue neither did the 93 legacy. i think my 99 did the same thing, but i added oil and that's why it had 6 qrts of oil in it, kept showing low so i added.
  5. ok. weird oil issue? not sure if this an issue. check the oil the other day its full, next day it has very little on the dipstick, i didn't ad oil and the next day its full again. now this morning it has very little on the dip stick. WTF never added oil to it. engien was cold every time i checked it this something i should worry about ? i'm puzzled no other subie i had did this.
  6. What are my options for Stiffer Suspension ? really dont like the Soft Suspension now. with lifting would greater thanks
  7. Really all i have to do is Swap in an H6 from the newer Outback's in to my 98, and get the 17" Wheels
  8. Nice ! looks really good with the forester rims, i see you don't have fog lights welcome to my club
  9. Put Some decals on (to show its no Granny car ) Tribal Skulls & Chains !
  10. Yes it was me, and i know i didn't use the kit properly, i didn't read the instructions. i just used the clearing Compound a couple times I'm gonna have to get another kit and redo them, hopefully have a better headlight on the driver's side. a bad habit of mine, to do something with out reading the instructions. glad it worked out for you. on youtube Mighty Car Mods video they showed what can clear the headlights and whats best. Believe it or not URINE can clear the headlights:eek: i would never use URINE on my car that's completely disrespectful to your Vehicle.
  11. i rather replace it from one that doesn't need adjusted. so i know that i wouldn't have to mess with it. oxidized is ok i can clear it up.
  12. Installed My XT6's Glasspack on Sapphire (outback) Disappointed, still not Loud enough. expected to sound like the Legacy. it had 2 resonators i'll have remove one.
  13. took out the headlight to see what i can do about adjusting it. after removal i found the plastic busted even worse than i thought. Pics: thought about getting the older outback headlights since they are 1 piece headlight/side marker, to make it look much better. i know the plugs are different might tap into the newer harness with the older style plug.
  14. the last time i did head gaskets was on my EJ22 in the old gray legacy. i didn't remove the engine to change the gaskets, i simply unbolted and removed the heads, the only challenge was cleaning up the old gasket with out fowling up the head from scrapping the old gasket off. i however found it a waste because it still overheated with new gaskets. i wouldn't attempt it unless i was for sure the temp never reached Red all its life. you said it reached 3/4 thats good as long it wasn't ran to long. in your situation I'd redo the gaskets and get the ML Gaskets from subaru. Good Luck -Jawn
  15. sofar added 140 miles to the outback. runs great, yet to run my tests on it. out of the blue I'll romp on it like a race car, and drive it long distances to get to know it. and the name i came up with for it is Sapphire
  16. i need to replace the driver's headlight. adjusters busted. and its facing down, passenger is perfect.
  17. My outback is now registered 99.95 Legal. 100% when added to insurance tomorrow.
  18. i used Turtle Wax Headlight Restorer. i highly Recommend it
  19. so the smell continues with the outback, read online that the smell could be cause of the Converter. can the converter cause weird smells to come in the Vents ? i do not want to smell it all winter long. any suggestions ? (for a short on cash person)
