  4. Yes I Cant wait to get it done, All I'm waiting for is the wiring from Numbchux, which he should have it done very soon, the custom front/rear bumpers, roof rack from TWB fab. and my 4INCH lift was shipped yesterday, the only reason I dont have the motor in is because I had to bust up my timing cover to get it off the motor:mad: But one of the members here scored me one for CHEAP!!! but yes I just hope it wheels (4x4's) as good as I hope it turns out. Its was Really funny all the weird looks I would get when I first Rhino lined the WHOLE car. People would pull up snd say What the H*ll is up with your paint?? But I thing it will be pretty scratch proof:lol: So we will see, Thanks for the nice reply's and taking the time to take a look. Thanks Tony Walrath P.S. More pic's to come with more progress!!

  9. my dealership I work for has an old school gold "Plating" machine, it really only gold plastic stuff. They use it to gold plate thing for are cadillac department. If you can ship it I can get a price for you. Tony
  10. Take the hose off the PCV valve while your car is on and put your finger over it, then slow increase your throttle. If a vacum is created on your finger your PCV valve is working fine. You can also take your PCV valve off and shake it, if it make a rattle sound it is work fine. Also check the hose for blockages and blow it out with compressed air. After all your dealing with a 25+ old car. Tony
  11. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those "Bolt Out Sockets" from Sear's are worth there weight in GOLD. Super great product, Recommend them to anyone that has a rounded, bolt, nut, or anything you can get them on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In about one minute, I had all of them off, Thanks Guy's for the HELP. Tony Walrath
  12. I own a 1985 GL Wagon, and Im looking for new seats or newer seats. My question is what other subaru seats would be compatable with mine?? My seat are HAMMERED, nasty and crusty! want to get some that are nicer or brand new!! Dont know if there are any aftermaket seats the would fit?? or am I better off just replacing them with some nicer stock seats?? Tony Walrath pinksock@cableone.net
  13. Yes, the Legacy motor is the way togo. I have very little mechanic skills, just basic auto understanding. Im in the middle of a EJ22-EA82 swap right now(EJ22 is a 2.2L legacy motor)and its been suprisingly easy, Yes IT IS A LOT OF work for someone like me, but a very doable job for me. With the help from everyone here on USMB, its made things a TON EASIER. Member Numbchux has a VERY VERY helpful and detailed right up on how to do the swap, and as far as the wiring goes, many of the members here will do it for you(for a small fee). This is what I am doing, all the manuel labor myself, and the complicated wiring I left up to a very experenced member. Trust me Its worth spending the money to know that it is done right!!!!!! The wiring is the most important thing to making this build work. Everyone is very good about anwsering any question you many have very swiftly and correctly. So if you are wanting to do the swap, with the help of this website and some hard work, it can be done. As far as cost goes, it really depends on how cheap you can find the donor car for. I got mine for 200 bucks, and was able to drive it to my house. http://www.criagslist.org is a great way to find one, thats how i found mine. Once you have the donor car thats really the biggest expence. Hopfully this will help you, as so many good members here have helped me. Good Luck Buddy Tony Walrath pinksock@cableone.net :headbang:
  14. Scott thats some BAD A$$ driving and 4x4ing, just wondering if you know paul carson, he lived in mt. veron his whole life till about 1year ago??

  16. Yes, I'm in the middle of EA82-EJ22 swap. Me question is, now that its getting HOTTER here in BOISE IDAHO, the more and more I want to keep the A/C unit in this swap. I wanted to know if the A/C unit off the EA82 would bolt up to the EJ22 motor or if it could be modified sensibly to work with the EJ22?? I have the A/C unit off of the EJ22, but I dont know if it works?? The A/C unit in my EA82 blow SUPER COLD!!!! So if I could use that one that would be great. One more question, if I have to use the A/C unit off the EJ22 will the hoses from the EA82 work on the EJ22 A/C unit?? Thanks For the Help Guys:) Tony
  17. Thanks that sound good, I'm sure this want be the only time that I would need them!! So Sears, I'll head there now.

  19. I am in the middle of a EJ22-EA81 swap, and I have two flywheel bolts that WONT COME OFF:banghead:. Its so bad that a box wrench or a six point socket wont even fit on it. Ive tried pounding on them, impact gun, six point socket with HUGE breaker bar, box end wrench with breaker bar, and still NOTHING!!!!! I'm afraid to use a bolt extracter because I dont want to bust the bolt head OFF, Im thinking of using a air hammer with a chisel?? ANYONE out there have anymore idea's how to remove a rounded off flywheel bolt!!!!!!!!!!! At this point I open for anything, and I mean ANYTHING!!!
