  1. Because the kids are old enough they dont use the Latch system. They sit in booster seats to prop them up for the seatbelts. Problem is the boosters are wide so probally the size of a adult with a good size butt. It might be hard, and ive heard the 3rd row on a tribeca is the worst.
  2. So the family vehicle is going to get handed down to me or traded off for something else. I like subarus (duh) so im curious if anyone on here has had this situation. I have 3 kids all in booster seats. Can something like this fit in a Tribecca or an Outback? Im not worried about alot of cargo space because i hardly have that in the van i have now. Any one have any experience with putting 3 kids in booster seats in a newer subaru.
  3. Look to us local guys, we might have some parts to save you some cash.

  5. Oh brent. After dennis put on a known good alternator on and fixed the bad relay on the computer it still refried. It had the known good alternator on it when i got a brand new ecu from someone on here and it promptly refried when i tried to start it after i got it back from dennis. The alternator problem is fixed it is beyond that. I will admit that some of my mechanical skills are limited which is why i ask for help. But i have had the upper PVC system and snorkle off many times cleaning things and rehooking things up. I know how to put that back together. I combed over that car 6 times atleast when the weather was warm. 5 more when it was cold. Ive had 3 independent mechanics come look at it as well as Dennis and now Mick. I will admit, i messed up not replacing the alternator. I never had the money, i tried to milk it. I didnt really have much of a choice in the matter and now were here. If i would of replaced the alternator when the regulator failed none of this would of happened but i cant go back and change anything now. It is what it is and this is the last stand for guido. Believe me brent, i have combed over that car many many times. Unless the alternator is bad that Dennis gave me i cant possibly think of anything else other then electrical it could be. On a side note mick, i have been told that the same electrical system they started useing in 87 is in the 88 as well so it should translate over. Not busting your balls on here for calling me out brent but believe me, if anyone was proactive in trying to figure out what happened and who screwed up its this guy right here. Good Luck Mick.
  6. Im interested in knowing what the high altitude kit is all about.
  7. Yea brent is a good guy and i know he keeps his cars in top notch shape before he sells them. One day hopefully i can save up enough to actually buy one from him. mmmmmmmmmmmmm hatch.
  8. Did you start to take it apart, whats going on with the AC compressor.
  9. Have you actually ever driven a wrangler offroad. Now in the snow im not going to argue, but there is a reason there one of the most popular offroading platforms out there. Now i understand that your not a mainstream kind of guy and you dont follow the masses. But you cant argue with years of proven offroad history and capabililty of the wrangler or the whole cj platform as well. Take a fully decked out offroad legacy and a fully decked out off road wrangler and see which one is going to do better. ALOT can be said about a driver or a driver knowing there vehicle. No one is saying your Cruiser is a bad offroader it is a very good offroader, but when your figuring aftermarket support, power to weight ratio, simple fuelmpg there is no contest. And with the exception of the auto trannys which have plagued chrysler for years you can say nothing about the engines and the 5 speed platforms for these vehicles. And though i consider you a friend on here the closeminded comment really kinda set me back. Whose closeminded here. Have you even driven a wrangler at all. Top down, all that jaz. Have you ever been offroading in one. Have you ever been on an offroad trail, have you ever even had to fix something in the mud. Before i was into subarus i had full size trucks and went offroading all the time. I will agree that some jeep owners have a holyer then thou attitude but thats not all of them and thats not taking away from what they bring to the table. Thats like saying the early Toyota trucks with the 22r is a bad offroad platform. Jeeps like any vehicle starting from scratch have there downfalls, 1st things comes to mind is the C-clip axels. Im not going to hijack your thread any longer with jeep talk about a toyota in a subaru board. But im asking you to experience some things before you start spouting off about them. I dont know everything about everything, but i know enough to warrant this argument. Go out and do and i think you will be suprised.
  10. Look, the goat dont worry about it. These are good cars, and if worse comes to worse some guys on here would buy some of the parts off of you. Just use it for what it is and youll be ok. You will find with some maintenance they will last a long time, even with a finikey carb. Look into some of the upgrades you can do and go from there.
  11. Im not going to question the way a LC handles on the rocks or the dirt or any other term of offroading. But i will take a legacy in the snow with its low center of gravity and awd and 22mpg vs any land cruiser any day of the week. Im sorry i have driven lots of suvs and lots of trucks and there isnt the confidence of not sliding out of control and wipeing out 2 different cars as you slide into the ditch and rolling over in the process due to it being heavy on top. Ask me how i know. Im only saying that i have driven my brothers wrangler. One would consider one of the greatest offroad vehicles ever produced in the snow and ice and it scared the bejesus out of me. Vs my loyale or my friends Forrester which had very controlable wheel spin and never at any point made me fear any danger.
  12. On a side note, i did find another subaru on craigslist. But you think i have any cash. Nooooooooo
  13. Although, my subaru is dead, the red wagon got sold, the brat no long has the lift and im pretty sure the brown wagon no longer has a engine. But welcome anyway.
  14. Nice job, but 12ton jackstands seems like overkill to me. Its not a bigrig.
  15. I wish i had your money, and job. 3 cars and enough spare time to put a lift on during the daytime.
  16. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=128092 Local member selling knock sensors.
