4X4 Swap Meet. Puyallup
This is a Great swap meet. Last year, I walked away from a near new set of 14"X28" swampers. Asking price was $200. Been regretting it ever since. Maybe the guy will be there again this year. About an hour before closing time, people are literally giving stuff away rather than load it back into the truck. http://www.moonshinersjeepclub.com/swapmeet/swapmeet.htm

How much you guys think it worth?
It depends on how plentiful Subarus are in your area. Around here your wagon would bring $1000 if it was in Really Good condition Cosmetically and Mechanically. The way you describe it,$300-$400. Unless it is a cream puff with a few mechanical issues, then a couple hundred more maybe. So,it depends on how plentiful good subarus are in Anchorage.

Guy has an 85 GL Hatch 4x4 for sale locally
Yeah, don't ask about timing belts, they ain't none. Unless someone took out the ea81 and put something else in. I look for rust first. Dents second. and then I look at the dash board. I like a crack free dash for sure. And,with no rust and not alot of dents, I can usaully repair or replace anything else with out too much trouble. Those are pretty much the three things that will turn me off. Good glass is a bonus.

markjw replied to markjw's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXCome on,can't someone tell me something about these wheels besides that they are stolen? I'm mostly wondering if they will fit and work well with a early 90's Legacy sedan. Thats a car I'm always on the lookout for. A total cream puff one. 5 speed of course.Preferably Not Stolen. The tires are 225/45 17. They seem awful wide.

- Are these Legacy wheels?
I did some trading with a guy on CL for some studded truck tires. The guy also had these Subaru "Legend" wheels that he wanted to get rid of. So, I ended up with them too. Apparently all these wheels were in his basement when he bought his house. I don't know, maybe there is a subaru legend. I've never seen one.He refered to them as Legacy wheels a couple times so I'm thinking he was as clueless as I am about them. He also had two other Subaru wheels that I think are SVX wheels.I'm hoping to figure out what I have here. Here's some pic's and the numbers on the wheels. Here's what I think are SVX wheels. These are Team Dynamics brand wheels. The numbers are 7.5Jx17 and then there is a e45 stamping as well. I'm thinking the e45 is offset? Logic says the aftermarket wheels are maybe for a SVX also since they all came from the same guy. What do you guys think?- Any Subie Forum People In Longview, WA?

I measured both turbo and non-turbo bars with a micrometer and consistantly got ten hundreths of an inch larger dia. on the turbo bar.- The One Behind the Wheel! (Pics of Us!)
- Rattle Can Paint Job
I don't want to get too much into it,subaru forum and all,but its a '71 frame, '67 cab and a '68 grill. I started with a bare frame and aquired parts from there. Thanks for the compliment.. The paint looked really good when I first painted it. I never did anything to protect it from UV rays. On the paint forums I was visiting, they had ideas of what I could spray on as a clear that would have UV protection and be compatible with the Rustoleum. I just never got around to it. Ive rattle canned a couple rigs,my problem was it was always blotchy. The spray gun laid it down so much more evenly. Now with my $20 investment into a cheap gun,I can paint anything for about $12.- Pin in Axel STUCK!!
I once had one that wouldn't budge.I ended up using the edge of a 4" grinding wheel and grinding into the pin a 1/4" or so on both sides. I was carful not to get into the stub axle, and when I was done the axle was worthless, but the remaing pin drifted right out.- Rattle Can Paint Job
A couple summers ago I bought a cheap spray gun ($20, harbor fright) a quart of rustoleum hammer tone green ($10) and a can of acetone ($4). I read the autobody forums for an hour or so,headed out into the garage and just went for it. Yeah,it isn't winning any ribbons, but I couldn't have been happier with the results. I actually just painted outside when the wind wasn't blowing. Away from the other cars. No paint booth or anything.- EA81t front sway bar diameter
0.89 hundredths on the turbo one. 0.79 hundredths on the regular one. I took this measurement off the bar I shipped to you,Steve. By the way,I sent it "standard mail" USPS,days ago. It should be there at your place this week.- steering wheel
Theres two small diameter holes on the back side of the steering wheel. One on either side of the wheel. You need to put a small screwdriver into the hole and collaps the fastener which will allow you to pull one side away then do the other side. After that, lift the bottom of the pad and unhinge the fastener at the top of the pad. Disconnect your battery first. Otherwise your horn, well you know.- how to install
- Rear axle differences EA81
Thanks Brian.- Rear axle differences EA81
I'm still not able to log on to the new server with my desktop. The Treo is logging on,but it doesn't "search" very well. I have Rooinator coming down tomorrow to salvage the rear axles from my turbo wagon. Just wanna make sure these will work for him.- Rear axle differences EA81
Are the rear axles,cv's on my '83 turbo wagon the same as a non turbo? I'm thinking they are,but need to be sure. Thanks.- 80's cyclops eye rare?
I had one other 1980 wagon besides the one I sold to ProjectRX. It had the same passing lite on it. Personally,I think out of all the years the passing lite was available, the '80 model had the nicest looking one.Heavy duty lookin' chrome piece with a nice factory blue inlay. Its much more substantial than the one on my '82 wagon which is just a plastic door with a subaru badge glued on. Still very cool.- Tacoma PAP
What the heck? Cars don't last long there. I went back for some parts off a turbo wagon that had only been there a week. It was gone too. Maybe someone bought the whole thing. The engine and 4sd were "like new" clean. Door panels and interior were as nice. You would have had to sawzall the front clip off to get the engine out.- Tacoma PAP
Was over there yesterday. Found one of the cleanest Hatchbacks I've ever seen. Red with tan interior.130k, 4x4,'87, ea81....Looked like someone ran into an elk with it,thou. Smashed from the grill to the firewall. I managed to get the nippon dizzy out, but the shaft was bent. The interior was near flawless.- scotty's cocktail ?
I think your confusing Rislone engine treatment with Redline shockproof. This thread, at least this part of it, is discussing a cheap alternative to the Scotty's Cocktail.- scotty's cocktail ?
